30608 Grill and Pizza Oven Play Set

Itmay goalittle faster with a partner to lend a hand, but we’ve made it so one
person can assemble the toy. Here are a few tips before you begin: Read
through all the instructions first. Clear a flat, covered space (carpeted is
best) to lay out all the materials so everything is close at hand. You will
need a Phillips head screwdriver (not included) to assemble the toy. The
instructions include lots of helpful pictures—we show you, step-by-step,
exactly how to align pieces and parts for speedy and accurate assembly. Note
that hardware needed for each step is shown in the upper right corner of the
page, each piece being added in a given step is highlighted in gray, and the
“assembled view” (what it looks like when the step is completed) is included
in the lower right corner of every step. Letters or numbers correspond to the
sticker on the part, as well as the picture of the part shown on page 3-4.
Helpful hints are highlighted with a large exclamation mark.
WARNINGS!
- Do not allow children to climb or stand on any part of the toy.
- Never place computers, televisions, or other heavy objects on top of the toy.
- The toy must be placed on a hard, flat, and level surface.
- The toy must be assembled as instructed.
- During assembly children should be kept away from the product due to possible risk of injury.
- DO NOT place this product near a window as it can be used as a step by the child and cause the child to fall out of the window.
- Be aware of the risk of open fires and other sources of strong heat in the vicinity of the product.
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Use a clean cloth to dry thoroughly.
MAINTENANCE: Ensure the toy continues to function properly and safely by regularly checking the hardware and tightening when necessary.

- Open and close grill lid with safety hinge.
- Two racks for “cooking” and “warming.”
- Load play wood chips into box next to smoker chimney.
- Turn dials to raise and lower “flames” on grill and adjust side burner.
- Hang utensils on movable rack.
- Set cooking time on built-in working timer.
- Insert thermometer (J) into grill lid or press into play food to“check the temperature.”
- Slide play pizza from padle to grill through pizza oven opening.
- Slice play food with wooden knife.
- Play food is “uncooked” on one side and “cooked” on the other.
- Customize meals with felt condiments and double-sided squeeze bottle.
- Mark activity card with pencil and erase to reuse.
# Countless Ways To Play
- dentify each food item and sort it by food group (protein, grain, dairy, produce). Count the items in each group.
- Describe the taste of each food, using descriptive words like crunchy, tangy, spicy, etc. Talk about which are favorite meals.
- Pretend to open a barbecue restaurant! Create menus and signs, take orders, and prepare meals!
