Functional characteristics
- The main components include compressors, condensers, liquid reservoirs, expansion valves, evaporators, fans, and pipelines.
- Its working principle is: the refrigerant circulates under the action of a compressor, and liquefies from a gaseous state to a liquid state in the condenser of the engine compartment, releasing heat;
- In the car, the liquid evaporates into a gaseous state, absorbing heat and thereby reducing the temperature inside the car.
- The product has been tested for operation in a harsh environment of -28/-10 (PTC electric heating) ° C-50 ° C, and it operates normally without any protective action.

Control logic
- The working modes of the control system are divided into refrigeration, energy-saving, sleep, and heating, which are freely selected by the user;
- The control system collects temperature values from two sensors, one is the temperature of the internal machine’s air outlet and the other is the temperature of the air inlet.
- Cooling mode: The cooling mode is activated by the cooling button and the remote control M button,
- Automatically adjust the output voltage and adjust the compressor speed based on the temperature difference between the air inlet and the set temperature, divided into 6 specific gears;
Gear position| Temperature (Example: set 16℃)| 12V / 24V air conditioning
parameters
---|---|---
6| >21℃| 9.5/20.5
5| 20~21℃| 9/19.6
4| 19~20℃| 8/19.2
3| 18~19℃| 7/18.7
2| 16~18℃| 6/18.1
1| 14~16℃| 5/17.9
0| <14℃| 0
- When the air outlet temperature sensor can be placed in the easily freezing position when the temperature is detected below 2 degrees, the compressor speed regulation signal outputs a 2-gear voltage signal (output 18.1V of type 18-20.5).
- Energy saving mode: in the energy saving mode, the air conditioning compressor is only adjusted between 1 and 2 gears. Other logic is the same as the refrigeration logic.
- Heating mode: (When setting item 7F to Hot, there is a heating function, which serves as a heating indicator light). If it is lower than the set temperature, it will start, and if it is higher than (set temperature+2), it will stop heating.
- Example: Set 26 degrees Celsius. When the ambient temperature exceeds 28 degrees Celsius, the heating signal stops outputting. When the ambient temperature is below 26 degrees Celsius, the heating signal starts.
Wiring
- Speed control signal: Connect the controller speed control line, output voltage signal (such as 4V-9V. 9V~19V, etc.), and the controller adjusts the compressor speed.
- Fault signal: connect to the controller fault line and receive the fault signal of the compressor controller.
- Temperature sensor: When connecting two temperature probes.
- Insert the air inlet probe into the air inlet display socket and the air outlet probe into the air outlet anti-icing socket.
- When only one temperature probe is connected, fix the temperature probe at the core position and insert it into the air inlet display socket.
matters need attention
- When powered on, it defaults to the shutdown state, and when it is first started, it defaults to the cooling mode.
- The internal unit wind speed defaults to high speed, Undervoltage defaults to 4V-9V.19V-21.5V, and overpressure defaults to 16 V/32V.
- In the case of continuous power on, the mode and internal unit wind speed after restarting default to the last shutdown state;
- During undervoltage and overvoltage protection. Both the internal and external fans and compressors will stop working. After troubleshooting, it is necessary to shut down and restart to restore normal operation.
Remote control
Application requirements
Environmental requirements| The outdoor unit should meet the requirements of operating at an ambient temperature of
-15~48 ℃ and a relative humidity of ≤ 90%. Under conditions of exposure to sunlight and rain, it operates continuously 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. It can be cooled at this ambient
temperature.
---|---
System pressure protection switch| Closed at ≥ 2.5MPa, restored at 2.45MPa
(for reference)
Closed at ≤ 0.18MPa, restored at 0.23MPa (for reference)
System refrigerant water content| 75 PPM (max.)
Dust content| 30mg (max.)
Maximum voltage of the driver| The main power supply voltage should not exceed
450VDC, otherwise, it will damage the internal components of the controller.
Suction and exhaust pressure connection| The tightening bolt torque of the
compressor suction/exhaust port is 11 ± 1 N.M.
Compressor installation Angle| The compressor body cannot be installed tilted
(the angle between the main axis of the compressor and the horizon should not
exceed 5 °).
else| Electric compressors should avoid being installed at the air outlet of
the condenser to ensure
sufficient cooling of the controller.
The compressor requires refrigerant to cool the motor and controller, and
insulation pipes should be added to the suction pipeline.
To avoid insulation degradation caused by moisture entering the system, the
compressor should be immediately (within 5 minutes)
installed in a closed system after opening.
- The compressor shall be installed with a vibration reduction footpad to achieve vibration reduction and noise reduction purposes.
-
The heat dissipation capacity of the condenser should meet the system requirements, and the installation position should have enough heat dissipation space.
-
There is an energy storage filter capacitor inside the compressor controller, which needs to be pre-charged during high-voltage power; Otherwise, energizing the pulse current will cause impact damage to the relay and fuse.
-
It is recommended to use independent fuses for the compressor branch, and it is not suitable to be combined and used with components related to vehicle safety (such as using the same set of electrical appliances and insurance)
-
It is recommended to turn on the condenser fan 6 seconds before starting the compressor to reduce pipeline pressure; After the compressor stops, the condenser fan shuts down with a delay of 6-10 seconds.
-
The compressor operates under extreme working pressure and abnormal working pressure for a long time. It will increase the failure rate of the compressor and shorten its service life.
Safety performance
Performance: The compressor meets the requirements of the JB / T12845-2016 standard.
- Safety: Structural safety: During product design, we set the strength in the place of the force, and realize the lightweight as far as possible while ensuring the product strength, to ensure the optimization of the cold weight ratio of the product and meet the optimization of the vehicle range to the maximum extent.

We set up the product of overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, short circuit, and other multi-directional electrical safety protection, to ensure the electrical safety of the product. Air conditioning meets the safety protection level of IP54.
Controller fault indicator code
Indicator light signal definition
Number of fault light flashes | Fault category | Fault description |
---|---|---|
Not flashing off | The drive runs normally | The drive is running normally or |
the drive is not powered
1| Drive standby normally| Blink once and then extinguish 1.2S, and repeat in
turn.
2| overcurrent protection| The driver is shut down immediately, reports the
overcurrent fault, clears the fault automatically for 2min, and the speed
regulation signal returns to 0 to remove the fault.
The causes of overcurrent include:
1. Poor heat dissipation of the condenser causes excessive load
2. Too much compressor refrigerant
3, leakage of refrigerant leads to compressor wear, etc
4. The compressor is damaged
5. Poor output line contact or damaged driver | ||
---|---|---|
3 | Locked rotor protection | When the motor is blocked, the drive automatically |
stops, and the fault is automatically cleared after an interval of 20 seconds
between the first three times. After exceeding three times, the fault is
automatically cleared after 2 minutes. After 6 consecutive lockdowns, the
fault will be locked and the fault can be resolved by resetting the speed
control signal to 0. Possible cause: Similar to overcurrent.
4| Undervoltage protection| When an undervoltage fault occurs below 18V, the
driver shuts down, and the fault clears at 19V.
5| short-circuit protection| The driver immediately shuts down and reports a
short circuit protection. After 2 minutes, the fault is automatically
resolved. If there are 3 consecutive short circuits, the fault is locked. The
speed control signal returns to 0 to resolve the fault. The peak value of
overcurrent protection is 95A
6| excess voltage protection| When an overvoltage fault occurs over 32V, the
drive shuts down and the 31V fault is cleared.
7| Continuous start failed| If the startup fails 3 consecutive times, the
fault will be locked and a continuous startup failure will be reported.
Possible causes: 1. Locked rotor 2.
Overcurrent
8| Outdoor fan failure| After the fan was started for 20 consecutive seconds, no fan current was detected and a fan fault was reported. The fault was resolved 2 minutes later. Start the fan again for detection, and if the fan current is not detected within 20 seconds, lock the fan fault. The compressor and external fan stop, and the speed
control signal returns to 0 to clear the fault
12| Lack of phase protection| If the output line of the driver is not
connected to the motor, there is a phase loss fault in the output. After 2
minutes, the fault will be automatically cleared, and the speed control signal
can be reset to 0 to clear the fault.
13| Power board over temperature fault| After the temperature detection point
of the drive exceeds 115 degrees Celsius, a first-level speed reduction is
carried out every 30 seconds. If the temperature still exceeds the limit after
two levels of speed reduction, the machine will be shut down for protection.
Remove the fault after the temperature is restored, and the speed regulation
signal will return to 0

air conditioning fault solution method
- Low voltage display
- Check if the positive and negative electrodes are loose and if there is insulation on the contact surface of the negative wires
- Whether the positive and negative poles of the air conditioning power supply and the hanging line cause step-down;
- Whether the power plug is loose, whether the wire harness is too thin, or too long, resulting in the wire heating and the formation of the step-down phenomenon;
- Whether the battery is short of power, whether the parking air conditioning uses the power battery (electric vehicle battery)
- Is the power of the generator too low, or is the live wire of the generator too thin, causing the generator to charge the battery too little or the battery to fail to charge, and whether the battery cannot store electricity
- high voltage display
- The positive wire is wired incorrectly or not connected to the positive pole of the battery.
- Pressure switch protection
- Check whether the system leaks, resulting in insufficient refrigerant pressure;
- Check whether the electronic fan is working, causing the insufficient heat dissipation of the condenser to form the refrigerant pressure is too high;
- Check whether the condenser is blocked, resulting in insufficient heat dissipation of the condenser, resulting in high pressure, please clean the condenser;
- Check if the refrigerant pressure is causing refrigerant expansion due to excessive temperature. If the refrigerant volume is too large, a small amount of refrigerant can be discharged or the expansion valve can be adjusted; The opening is determined by the pressure of the low-pressure pipe of the air conditioner.
- The compressor temperature is too high
- The compressor surface temperature is too high for protection. After overheating protection, stop using it and check the cause of failure. Repeated protection will damage the compressor.
pay attention to
- The air conditioning is at a room temperature of 35 ℃. The low pressure is controlled at 2.5kg and the high pressure is 13kg.
- The refrigerant injection amount shall not exceed 400-500g.
- controller undervoltage protection 12V controller is 10.5V, 24V controller is 21.5V± 1V.
- After undervoltage, the voltage for restarting the 12V controller is 13V± 0.5V, while the 24V controller is 25.5V ± 0.5V.
- After the shutdown, the power needs to be turned off and restarted before it can be restarted.
- Adjust the exhaust pressure to 12-14kg as much as possible. When the high pressure exceeds 22kg, the air conditioning will automatically stop. It is necessary to discharge some refrigerant and wait for 5 minutes.
- The compressor’s low-pressure protection is 2.6kg, below that the pressure compressor does not start.
- Please pay attention to the voltage change with the air conditioner in the process of driving. When the voltage is less than 25V or the voltage fluctuation is large, stop the air conditioner, otherwise, it is easy to cause battery loss (if the air conditioner is needed in the process of driving, the generator needs to be replaced to more than 30A larger than the original car)
- Regularly inspect the pipeline system for leaks and wear, inspect all fasteners for looseness or detachment, and promptly eliminate any abnormal phenomena. If any faults cannot be eliminated, please go to a professional maintenance point.
Note: In the maintenance of air conditioning faults, do not rush to remove the parts, we should carry out careful detection and scientific analysis, accurately find out the cause of the fault, and effectively eliminate the fault.
The main reasons for the refrigeration effect
- After installation, it is necessary to measure the high and low pressure. The high pressure should be controlled at around 14Kg (when the ambient temperature is around 32 ℃). It is best to control it below 14 kg when testing indoors or at night, otherwise the pressure will rise very high at high temperatures. Excessive pressure will cause the refrigerant temperature to be too high, affecting the cooling effect.
- be sure to use genuine R134a refrigerant.
- Use a genuine R134a hose, otherwise, it will deteriorate the refrigerant and frozen oil.
- The wiring should be thick, and the distance between the battery and the compressor should be less than 3 meters. A 3.58mm thick power cord can be used. Use a 4.51mm power cord above 5 meters. A 4.51mm power cord should be used between multiple batteries. A 3.58mm power cord is used between the installed generator and the battery.
- (Note: Due to the high current of the electric compressor, a thin wire can cause significant line loss. Please follow the wiring diagram requirements)
- Try to fully charge the battery every time possible. Running at low power will reduce the compressor’s speed and affect its effectiveness.
- When installing, the vacuum must be in place, as the electric compressor is sensitive to moisture and air, requiring simultaneous high and low-pressure vacuum treatment. It must be vacuumed to -0.098 or above for at least 20 minutes. Maintain the vacuum pressure for 10 minutes to ensure that there are no leaks in the system before adding refrigerant.
- The expansion valve should not be too large (1.2-1.3 tons are sufficient), and the evaporator should not be too large. The above two items can be adjusted by checking the suction pressure. It is best to control the suction pressure between 2.3-3.2Kg (when the ambient temperature is around 35 ℃, the compressor casing temperature should be lower than 20 ° C at the suction end)
- The road connection should be as short as possible, and an insulation layer should be added outside the pipeline from the evaporator to the compressor.
- Regularly clean the condenser, at least once a month in summer otherwise it will seriously affect the cooling effect.
- When using an electric air conditioner while driving, the battery should be fully charged first, and the current of the generator must be above 75A. Vehicles with a current of less than 75A must pay attention to the battery storage on the dashboard during driving. Once there is an indication of low battery power, immediately stop using the electric air conditioner. Especially when driving at night, be careful. When driving, the generator is running and the voltage is high. The compressor controller may mistakenly assume that the battery is fully charged, but in reality, the battery is no longer charged. When parking, the compressor controller will automatically control and will not cause battery loss. In addition, when the generator is less than 55A, there may be undervoltage and the air conditioning may stop and turn on. (This is because the battery has run out of electricity, and when the engine speed is low, it cannot keep up, resulting in undervoltage.)
- To maximize the efficiency of electric air conditioning, it is recommended to install a set of 200A or above power batteries and a generator of around 70A. It can be used for about 6 hours during hot days and more than 10 hours at night, and there is no impact on using electric air conditioning while driving!
- In addition, when the refueling valve or the weather is hot, the compressor stops or stops running because too much refrigerant is added, causing the compressor pressure to be too high.
- When setting the temperature of the thermostat, the difference between the start and stop temperatures should be at least 3 ℃, otherwise, it will cause the compressor to start frequently and consume a lot of electricity.
- The positive pole of the electric air conditioner must be connected to the battery positive pole or motor terminal, and cannot be connected to the instrument panel. The negative pole should be connected to the battery negative pole.
- The gray line of the controller cannot be measured directly and can be detected using a multimeter or a relay.
- Power batteries must be installed when adding batteries
- The installation of the external unit of the electric air conditioner should avoid the engine exhaust pipe to avoid causing the high temperature of the external unit. The distance between the back plate of the electric air conditioner and the driver’s cab should not be less than 10 centimeters to ensure that the condenser fan has sufficient air intake.
Matters needing attention
- The compressor already contains refrigerant oil inside, so there is no need to add refrigerant oil
- The air conditioner does not contain refrigerant and requires the addition of 400-500g/R134a refrigerant. It is best to add according to the pressure value
- High and low-pressure standard values:
- The ambient temperature should be 25-30℃, and the high pressure value should be between 130 psi and 160 psi
- The ambient temperature should be 30-35℃, and the high pressure value should be between 145 psi and 175 psi
- The ambient temperature should be 35-40°C, and the high pressure value should be between 175 psi-218 psi
- The low-pressure value is uniformly between 29-49psi
- Vacuum for 15-20 minutes before refrigerant addition
- Check if the battery meets the requirements. (For a 12V battery, real-time current output requires about 75A) (For a 24V battery, real-time current output requires about 45A)
- This is a metaphor. For example, 300Ah indicates that the storage capacity of the battery pack is 300 amperes per hour, and 300A indicates that the passing current is 300 amperes.
- AH represents the capacity of the battery, A represents the output of the battery, and the two are different. If you don’t know how much A the current output is, you can use an instrument to test it.
