Product Usage Instructions

Assembly and Setup

  1. Mount the product as per the provided instructions.
  2. Insert the required batteries in the battery slider.
  3. If using the remote control, follow the steps to activate it.

Battery Replacement

  1. Remove the battery slider from the remote control.
  2. Take out the empty battery.
  3. Replace it with a new battery of the same type.

Charging

You can charge the product using either the USB charging cable or the solar panel.

USB Charging

  • This instruction manual is part of this Solar Outdoor Floor Lamp (hereinafter referred to as the “Product”). It contains important information on commissioning and handling.
  • Read the instruction manual, especially the safety instructions, carefully before using the product. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury and damage to the product.
  • The instruction manual is based on the standards and rules in force in the European Union.
  • When abroad, also observe country-specific guidelines and laws. Keep the instruction manual for further use. If you give the product to a third party, be sure to include this instruction manual.

Intended use

  • The product is designed exclusively for atmospheric lighting indoors or outdoors. It is intended for private use only and is not suitable for commercial use.
  • Use the product only as described in this user manual. Any other use is considered not intended and may result in property damage.

General safety and warning instructions

WARNING! Risk of electric shock!

  • Faulty electrical installation or excessive mains voltage can lead to electric shock.
  • If you are using a USB charger, only plug it in if the mains voltage of the socket matches what is indicated on the nameplate.
  • To charge the built-in Li-ion battery, only use power supplies that meet the SELV standard according to the standards IEC 61558-2-6 or IEC 61347-2-13 or ES1 / IEC 62368-1 according to the requirements of IEC 62368-3.
  • Do not operate the product if it has visible damage or if the USB charging cable is defective.
  • Do not open the housing but entrust the repair to professionals. Contact a specialist workshop for this purpose.
  • In the event of repairs carried out independently, improper connection, or incorrect operation, liability and warranty claims are excluded.
  • For repairs, only parts that correspond to the original device data may be used.
  • There are electrical and mechanical parts in this product that are essential to protect against sources of danger.
  • Do not submerge the product or the USB charging cable in water or other liquids.
  • Never handle the USB connector with damp hands.
  • Never pull the USB plug out of the charging socket by the USB charging cable, but always touch the USB plug.
  • Never use the USB charging cable as a carrying handle.
  • Keep the product and USB charging cable away from open flames and hot surfaces.
  • Route the USB charging cable so that it does not become a tripping hazard.
  • Do not bend the USB charging cable or place it over sharp edges.
  • Never operate the product in damp rooms or the rain.
  • Never place the product in such a way that it can fall into a pond, pool, etc.
  • Never reach for an electrical appliance if it has fallen into the water. In such a case, immediately unplug the USB charger from the charging socket.
  • Do not expose the product to rain or extreme weather conditions, such as sub-zero temperatures, hail, or extreme heat.
  • Charge the product indoors.
  • Make sure that no liquid gets into the product and, if necessary, dry the product well before restarting.
  • Make sure that children do not put objects in the product.
  • When you are not using the product, cleaning it, or if there is a malfunction, always turn off the product and unplug the USB charging cable from the charging socket.

WARNING!

WARNING! Hazard due to batteries!

  • If you use batteries improperly, there is a risk of explosion or burns from leaking battery fluid.
  • Do not throw batteries into the fire. They can explode or cause toxic fumes.
  • Do not expose batteries to unrestricted sunlight and heat. Increased risk of leakage!
  • Do not charge, disassemble, or short-circuit batteries. The danger of explosion!
  • Remove the battery from the battery compartment as soon as it runs out or if you do not use the product for a long time.
  • When inserting the battery, pay attention to the correct polarity.
  • Only use batteries of the same type.
  • If necessary, clean the battery and device contacts before inserting the battery.
  • Make sure the product is turned off after use.
  • If you suspect that a battery has been swallowed or otherwise entered the body, seek medical attention immediately.
  • Do not touch leaking batteries. If you do come into contact with battery fluid, wash the affected area thoroughly with plenty of clean water. If leaking battery fluid causes a skin reaction or gets into the eyes, seek additional medical attention.
  • If the battery compartment that houses the battery no longer securely closes, stop using the product. Remove the battery and keep it out of the reach of children.

  • The light from the LED lamp is bright and can damage the eyes when viewed from an insufficient distance.
  • Never look into the illuminated LED lamp from a short distance.
  • Never look at the illuminated LED lamp with a magnifying glass or other optical instruments.

IMPORTANT!

INITIAL COMMISSIONING

IMPORTANT!

  • The product can become quickly damaged if you do not take care when opening the packaging with a sharp knife or other sharp objects.
  • Open the packaging very carefully.

  2. Check that the supply package is complete.
  3. Check that the product or individual parts are not damaged. If anything is damaged, do not use the product. Contact the hotline or e-mail address given in this operating manual.

Assemble the product

  1. Screw the three standpipes (3) together.
  2. Screw the mounted standpipes into the stand (4).
  3. Screw the lampshade (1) onto the mounted stanchions.

Putting the remote control into operation

  • At the factory, a contact protection film is inserted in the battery compartment, which must be removed before the first use.
  • Pull out the contact protector in the battery compartment of the remote control.

Changing the battery

  1. Push the tension bolt of the battery slider (17) towards the battery carriage.
  2. At the same time, pull the battery slider out of the remote control.
  3. Remove the dead battery.
  4. Replace the empty battery with a battery of the same type (see chapter “Technical data”), paying attention to the correct polarity. The side of the positive terminal is marked on the back of the remote control.
  5. Insert the battery slider into the remote control with the new battery.

Charging of the product

  • Fully charge the product before first use.
  • Charging with the USB charging cable

IMPORTANT!

  • Charging the product with an unsuitable USB charger may cause damage to the product.
  • Only use USB chargers with a maximum output voltage of 5 V for charging.
  1. Place the product on a dry, horizontal surface to charge.
  2. Completely unwind the USB charging cable (4).
  3. Plug the USB Type-C connector into the charging socket (5).
  4. Plug the USB plug into a USB power source (e.g. USB charger).
  • While charging, the indicator light will turn red. The charging time is about 4 – 6 hours.
  • When the product is fully charged, the indicator light will turn green. You can then use the product.

Charging with the solar panel

  1. Place the product outdoors.
  2. Make sure the product is not in the shade.
  3. Let it charge by direct sunlight on the solar panel 8 for about 10 hours. The charging time depends on the light intensity. If the sky is cloudy, the charging time may be longer.

OPERATION

  • To turn on the product, press the power button (6).
  • To turn off the product, press the power button (6) again.

LUMINAIRE CONTROL

Switch the light on/off

  • To turn on the LED function, press the ON button (9).
  • To turn off the LED function, press the OFF button (10).
  • To deactivate/activate the night light function, press the SENSOR button (7).
  • If the night light function is activated, the light switches on automatically in the dark and switches off again when it is bright enough.

Setting the luminous color

  • To decrease or increase the light intensity, press the BRIGHT +/- button (13).
  • To set the fluorescent color to white, press the WHITE button (16).
  • To set a different luminous color, press the COLOR button (12).
  • To cycle through the fluorescent colors one after the other, press the PLAY/PAUSE button (11).
  • To adjust the speed of the color change, press the SPEED button (15).
  • To turn on the candlelight function, press the CANDLE button (14).

MAINTENANCE & CLEANING

  • IMPORTANT! Short circuit hazard!
  • Water or other liquids entering the housing can cause a short circuit.
  • Never immerse the product in water or other liquids.
  • Make sure that no water or other liquids get into the housing.

IMPORTANT!

  • Risk of damage! Improper handling of the product may result in damage to the product.
  • Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, brushes with metal or nylon bristles, or sharp or metallic cleaning objects such as knives, hard spatulas, and the like.
  • These can damage the surfaces.
  1. Before cleaning, switch off the product and remove the USB cable.
  2. Clean the product with a soft, dry cloth.
  3. If the product is stubbornly dirty, use a slightly damp cloth and a little mild detergent if necessary.
  4. Allow all parts to dry completely afterward.

Storage

  • All parts must be completely dry before storing. To save space when storing the product, separate the two parts.
  • Always store the product in a dry place.
  • Store the product out of children’s reach in a securely locked place and at a storage temperature between 5 °C and 20 °C (room temperature).

Disposal

  • Do not dispose of batteries or electric and electronic devices in the normal household waste.
  • The consumer is legally obliged to return electrical and electronic devices and batteries that are at the end of their useful life to the point of sale or public collection points that have been set up for this purpose.
