How do these compare to the Life Q30? Specifically, how do their sound quality and noise-canceling compare?

Sound quality is great. So is noise-canceling. I use on riding mower.

Does the microphone work when NOT in bluetooth mode (aux plugged in)?

Kindly know microphone does not work in wired mode.

will the noise cancelling work with the AUX port?

Kindly know this headphone does not support the use of noise-canceling mode in wired mode.

Can I turn the bass down on the q20 with the soundcore app? If I do, will that be saved for when using with my mac instead of ios?

Yes, and yes

how do you charge them?

Please take a 5V charger and original cable to charge these headphones.

These look perfect, but i’m suspicious that the base will be too strong. can the bass be set to “normal”? (not rapp level.)

The bass is not that deep. Pretty good I think. They are comfortable fit and I wear mine for hours. however I don’t think you can adjust the bass like you would on a stereo

I thought being on Bluetooth 5 would solve audio latency while gaming on mobile, but the audio stil lags. How come?

This headphones also has latency on the PC. The only thing I have found that helps is to restart the headphones… and will mess up again if you pause the video.

Can it be made smaller? They are loose on my head. I must have high-set ears. Any way to make them smaller short of wearing a yarmulke?

The earmuff speakers adjust on the head strap by sliding so far up or down. They do have noise cancelling and two other modes. But these fit me comfortabley.
