KNOW YOUR WAX MELTER

  1. Lid
  2. Scraper bar
  3. Main unit
  4. Indicator light
  5. Removable wax pot
  6. Temperature control knob

USE YOUR WAX MELTER

BEFORE START

  • Wash the area you are about to wax to remove dirt and skin care products like cream, antiperspirant or oil. Afterward, dry your skin thoroughly.
  • For best result, make sure your hair is about 2mm long. If hair is longer than 5mm, trim it shorter so that waxing will be less messy.

USING WAX MELTER
Place the Wax Melter on a flat, stable surface.

  1. Take off the lid and fill the wax pot with 20-100g wax beads, close the lid.
  2. Connect the appliance with mains power, and turn the temperature control knob to the MAX position.
  3. After the wax is melted into a liquid consistency, re-adjust to a lower temperature, to avoid wax becoming too viscous.
  4. The wax temperature will remain constant, the indicator light will switch ON and OFF during operation. This means the Melter will automatically turn ON to heat wax when it drops below the desired temperature; turn OFF when the desired temperature is reached.

APPLYING THE WAX
If you have not waxed before, we recommend starting by removing hair from the legs. Only when you have experience then progress to the sensitive areas of the underarm and bikini line.
We do not recommend waxing the same area of skin twice during one waxing session.

  1. Allow the wax to melt completely.
  2. The best indication that your wax is at the right applicable temperature is when it resembles the consistency of thick honey.
  3. Always use it with caution. It is important to test a small amount of melted wax on the inside of your wrist before application, to make sure the wax is not too hot
  4. Make sure your skin is completely dry before waxing. Apply some baby powder to soak up any excess moisture if necessary.
  5. Using the spatula (not provided), spread the wax in the direction of hair growth. Ensure each hair is shrink-wrapped with wax.
  6. Wait 30-60 seconds and allow the wax to harden.
  7. It is ready to be removed as soon as it’s no longer sticky to the touch. Hold skin taut. Flip the edge of the wax strip up and pull quickly AGAINST the direction of hair growth.
  8. Repeat over different sections until the desired area is soft, silky hair-free.

TIPS

  • Apply wax in the direction with hair growth and remove in the opposite.
  • Hydrate and exfoliate a day or two before waxing.
  • Try to make the end of the strip (towards the ankle) thicker so that you can grip it when you remove it. You can do this by applying extra wax at the lower end of the strip.
  • When removing, pull the wax parallel and close to your waxed skin.
  • Use some used wax or baby oil to remove wax traces, if the wax doesn’t come off with water, soap or alcohol.

AFTER WAXING

  • The skin may be slightly red after waxing. This is normal, but bathing the area with cool water will help to soothe.
  • If you feel a bit of irritation, don’t scratch. Instead, gently press your skin with your hand. Any discomfort shouldn’t last it does, see your doctor.

CLEANING AND STORAGE

You DO NOT need to clean the wax pot after each use!
The leftover wax can be melted and reused for your next waxing session. However, you may need to clean the outer rim of the pot after each use.

  • Ensure the pot has been switched OFF but is still warm.
  • Use some body oil to remove any excess wax from the rim of the pot.
  • Wipe the rim of the pot with a clean piece of dry kitchen cloth to remove the oil residue.
  • Leave the pot to cool before storage.

Do not use a sharp object to remove solidified wax or clean the pot.
The internal of the main unit is subjected to residual heat after use, take care when handling. Do not allow contact with or immerse the main unit in water.
CAUTION : To prevent damage to the appliance do not use alkaline cleaning agents when cleaning, use a soft cloth and a mild detergent.
