Product Usage Instructions

Installation:

It is imperative to enlist the services of a qualified electrician for the installation of the LED Ready Fixtures. Please carefully read and understand all instructions provided with the luminaire before proceeding with the installation.

Warnings and Cautions:

WARNING: There is a risk of fire or electrical shock. Always disconnect power before installing or servicing the fixture.

General Fixture Wiring:

Refer to the install instructions provided with the direct-wire LED lamp that will be used in the fixture for specific wiring guidelines.

Single Ended Wiring (Non-Shunted):

Black (Line) A: Connect to one side of the fixture.

White (Neutral) B: Connect to the other side of the fixture.

Double Ended Wiring (Non-Shunted):

Black (Line) A: Connect to one end of the fixture.

White (Neutral) B: Connect to the other end of the fixture.

Mounting Instructions:

To surface mount the fixture using strips, secure it to the mounting surface by inserting anchor screws, toggle bolts, or suitable fasteners (not provided). WARNING, CAUTIONS AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  • To reduce the risk of death, personal injury or property damage from fire, electric shock, falling parts, cuts/abrasions, and other hazards read all warnings and instructions included with and on the fixture box and all fixture labels.
  • Before installing, servicing, or performing routine maintenance upon this equipment, follow these general precautions.
  • Commercial installation, service and maintenance of luminaires should be performed by a qualified licensed electrician.
  • For the installation: If you are unsure about the installation or maintenance of the luminaires, consult a qualified licensed electrician and check your local electrical code.
  • To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not expose wiring to the edges of sheet metal or other sharp objects.
  • Do not make or alter any open holes in an enclosure of wiring or electrical components during kit installation

WARNING: RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRICAL SHOCK

  • Turn off electrical power at fuse or circuit breaker box before wiring the fixture to the power supply.
  • Turn off the power when you perform any maintenance.
  • Verify that the supply voltage is correct by comparing it with the luminaire label information.
  • Make all electrical and grounded connections in accordance with the National Electrical Code and any applicable local code requirements.
  • All wiring connections should be capped with UL-approved wire connectors.

CAUTION: RISK OF INJURY

  • Avoid direct eye exposure to the light source while it is on.
  • Account for small parts and destroy packing material, as these may be hazardous to children.

Installation Instruction

GENERAL FIXTURE WIRING – Always refer to the Install instructions that are provided with the direct-wire LED lamp being used in the fixture for specific wiring instructions.

Single-End lamps (Typical) – Connect power input wires to the one end only that will power the lamps (Side “A” in Fig. 1). Connect Black to LINE, White to NEUTRAL, and Green Fixture Ground to GROUND.. DO NOT hook up wires in the fixture going to Side “B” of the lamps. Use only UL-approved wires and connectors.

Double-End lamps (Typical) – Tie wires together on the one end of the fixture that corresponds to the L-side of the Double-End lamp being used (Side “A” in Fig. 2), and connect those wires to the LINE. Tie wires together on the opposite end of the fixture (Side “B” in Fig. 2 that corresponds to the N-side of the Double-End lamp being used), and connect those wires to NEUTRAL. Connect Green Fixture Ground to GROUND. Use only UL-approved wire and connectors.

MOUNTING OPTION:

STRIPS – SURFACE MOUNT: Secure the fixture to the mounting surface by inserting anchor screws, toggle bolts or suitable fasteners (not provided), depending on structural conditions into key hole slots on the top side of the fixture.
