Owner’s Manual
Before using this product, carefully read this owner’s manual. After reading, keep the document(s) where it will be available for immediate reference.
Charging
When the battery icon indicates that the remaining amount is low ( ), charge the battery as soon as possible. Use the included USB charging cable to connect this device to a commercially available USB AC adaptor.
- Charge the device using the included USB cable. Do not use the included USB cable with any other device.
Restoring the Factory Settings
If you want to return this device to its factory settings, use a commercially
available SIM removal pin or a straightened paper clip to press the [RESET]
button.

- Material damage refers to damage or other adverse effects caused with respect to the home and all its furnishings, as well as domestic animals or pets.

ALWAYS OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING

Do not disassemble or modify by yourself
Do not carry out anything unless you are instructed to do so in the owner’s
manual. Otherwise, you risk causing malfunction.
Do not repair or replace parts by yourself
Be sure to contact your dealer, a Roland service center, or an official Roland
dealer.

Do not use or store in the following types of locations
- Subject to temperature extremes (e.g., direct sunlight in an enclosed vehicle, near a heating duct, on top of heat-generating equipment); or are
- Damp (e.g., baths, washrooms, on wet floors); or are
- Exposed to steam or smoke, or are
- Subject to salt exposure, or are
- Exposed to rain, or are
- Dusty or sandy, or are
- Subject to high levels of vibration and shakiness, or are
- Placed in a poorly ventilated location.
Do not allow foreign objects or liquids to enter the unit; never place
containers with liquid on the unit
Do not place containers containing liquid (e.g., flower vases) on this
product. Never allow foreign objects (e.g., flammable objects, coins, wires)
or liquids (e.g., water or juice) to enter this product. Doing so may cause
short circuits, faulty operation, or other malfunctions.
Be cautious to protect children from injury
Always make sure that an adult is on hand to provide supervision and guidance
when using the unit in places where children are present, or when a child will
be using the unit.
Turn off the unit if an abnormality or malfunction occurs
In the following cases, immediately turn off the power and contact your
dealer, a Roland service center, or an official Roland dealer for service.
- If smoke or unusual odor occurs; or
- Objects have fallen into, liquid has been spilled onto the unit; or
- The unit has been exposed to rain (or otherwise has become wet); or
- The unit does not appear to operate normally or exhibit a marked change in performance.

Do not drop or subject to strong impact
Otherwise, you risk causing damage or malfunction.
Handling units that contain a lithium-ion battery
Do not use, recharge, or leave the unit in a location that is subject to high
temperature
- In direct sunlight
- Near a fire
- Inside a vehicle on a hot day, etc.
- Ambient temperature range during using: 0–35 °C (32–95 °F)
- Ambient temperature range during charging: 5–35 °C (41–95 °F)
- Ambient temperature range during storing: 0–40 °C (32–104 °F)
- Do not leave the unit recharging for an extended time
- When recharging is completed, disconnect the power supply used for recharging; do not leave the power supply connected for an extended time.
CAUTION
Avoid climbing on top of the unit, or placing heavy objects on it
Otherwise, you risk injury as the result of the unit toppling over or dropping
down.
Precautions if liquid leaks from the product
If liquid leaks from the internal lithium-ion battery, observe the following
precautions.
- Do not touch the liquid with your bare hands.
- If any of the leaking fluid gets into your eyes, loss of vision may result. Do not rub your eyes; use clean water to flush them thoroughly. Then, promptly see a doctor.
- Burning of the skin or dermatitis may result if the fluid has gotten onto your skin or clothing. Use clean water to flush affected areas thoroughly; then, promptly see a doctor.
Power Supply: Use of Batteries

This product is equipped with a lithium-ion battery.

Even if you do not use this product for an extended period of time, you should charge it once every three months to prevent the internal lithium-ion battery from degrading.

The ambient temperature range during charging is 5–35°C
However, in order to take full advantage of the rechargeable lithium-ion battery’s performance, we recommend that you charge it in a temperature range of 10–30°C. -
If you need to dispose of this product, do not simply discard it with your household waste; if the internal lithium-ion battery becomes unusable, you should dispose of it in compliance with local regulations.

This unit contains a lithium-ion battery. When disposing of this unit, please observe the regulations applicable to your locality. Never remove the lithium-ion battery. Doing so may cause bursting or fire.
Placement
- This unit may interfere with radio and television reception. Do not use this unit in the vicinity of such receivers.
- When moved from one location to another where the temperature and/or humidity are very different, water droplets (condensation) may form inside the unit. Damage or malfunction may result if you attempt to use the unit in this condition. Therefore, before using the unit, you must allow it to stand for several hours until the condensation has completely evaporated.
- Do not leave this unit attached to the guitar or bass for a long period of time. Depending on the coating on the guitar or bass, the coating material may lose its feel.
Maintenance
- Never use benzine, thinners, alcohol, or solvents of any kind, to avoid the possibility of discoloration and/or deformation.
Additional Precautions
- Never strike or apply strong pressure to the display.
- When disconnecting all cables, grasp the connector itself—never pull on the cable. This way you will avoid causing shorts, or damage to the cable’s internal elements.
- When disposing of the packing carton or cushioning material in which this unit was packed, you must observe the waste disposal regulations that apply to your locality.
