Product Usage Instructions

Setup Configuration

  1. Make sure your Xbox controller is connected to your console and powered on.
  2. Connect your transmitter to your Xbox controller’s extension port and aux jack.
  3. Press the power button to turn on the headset.

Pairing Instructions

Your headset and transmitter will pair automatically. Once paired, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Audio & Music settings and set Headset Volume to maximum.
  2. Adjust the Headset Chat Mixer all the way to the right towards the chat icon.
  3. Set Mic Monitoring to your preferred level.

Controls Overview

  • Power Button : Hold for 2s to power on, and hold for 4s to power off.
  • Multi-Function Button : Functions as Pair to mobile device button.
  • Chat Volume Up/Down : Adjust chat volume levels.
  • Mic Mute : Press to mute/unmute the microphone.

LED Indicator Meanings

  • Double Blink, Blue: Pairing mode
  • Solid, Blue : Connected
  • Solid, Red : Low Battery
  • Fast Blinking, Red & Blue: Mobile Pairing Mode

Battery Information

The Recon AirTM provides 10 hours of rechargeable battery life. Ensure regular charging before storing.

  • Q: How do I know when the headset is fully charged?
    • A : When connected via USB, a solid blue LED indicates that the headset is fully charged.
  • Q: How do I mute the microphone during a chat?
    • A : Press the Mic Mute button on the headset to mute or unmute the microphone.

SETUP

  1. Make sure your Xbox controller is connected to your console and powered on.
  2. Connect your transmitter to your Xbox controller’s extension port and aux jack.
  3. Press the button to power on the headset. Your headset and transmitter will pair automatically.
    Go to Audio & Music > set Headset Volume to maximum.
    Adjust the Headset Chat Mixer all the way to the right towards the Set Mic Monitoring to your preferred level.

PAIRING

Your Recon Air™ can pair to the transmitter and your mobile device simultaneously so you can answer calls during gameplay. Follow these instructions to pair to your mobile device:

The headset and transmitter are paired out of the box, indicated by the solid LED on the transmitter.

If your transmitter’s LED is double-blinking blue, follow the steps to pair your headset and transmitter:

  1. Plug the transmitter into the powered Xbox Controller, while holding down the multi-function button.
  2. Press and hold the multi-function button on the transmitter until the transmitter’s pairing LED flashes rapidly, then release.
  3. From the OFF position, press and hold the multi-function button for 5s until the LED flashes red and blue to put the headset into pairing mode.
  4. Keep the headset and transmitter close together until the LED indications are solid, indicating a successful pairing.

When the headset is ON and paired to a mobile device, the multi-function button on the headset and its transmitter will allow you to switch between your console chat and a Bluetooth® phone call.

EARTIP REMOVAL

To change the ear tips, pull firmly to remove them. Choose the ear tip that fits best, align with the earbud, and stretch around the grill.

ADJUSTING THE EAR HOOK

The Recon Air™ may be worn on your left or right ear. Remove the ear hook to switch its direction.
