Network topology
- Centralized Management Mode
Via Centralized Management Software
Computers running this mode can be on the same or different subnet as the AP, and are used to manage the AP centrally.
You can get the suitable software from our official website at https://www .tp-link.com.
Via Hardware Controller (for certain devices)
The Hardware Controller can be on the same or different subnet as the AP.
The Host Management function is used to enter the hardware controller so that the AP can be managed centrally.

Select the available method to connect your device according to the accessories.

Via PoE Switch
Some APs can be powered via a PSE device (such as a PoE switch) that complies with Power Source Class 2 (PS2) Limited Power Source (LPS) IEC 62368-1.

Via PoE Adapter
Multiple APs can be powered via PoE adapter.

Hardware Installation

Select a method to install the device.

Mount the device on the pole
At the selected location, install the device in the appropriate position on the pole then adjust the device in the direction you want.

Wall Mount the Device (for products with bracket installation)
Snap the mounting bracket into position desired on the wall then press and slide the device to lock it. Then connect the antenna on the device.

Install Waterproof seal. (for certain devices)
Before installing, plug in the Ethernet cable through the spiral cover, bracket, and O-ring.
Then follow the steps as shown seen in the picture: -
Connect the Ethernet cable to the port.

Attach the O-Ring to the bracket head, and fasten the bracket to the device body.

Insert the Ethernet cable through the seal gap with the thicker side toward the bracket.

Install the seal onto the bracket.

Fasten the spiral cover to the bracket.
