1. IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Read these instructions carefully and retain them for future use. If this appliance is passed to a third party, then these instructions must be included.

2. Battery Warnings

Remove and immediately recycle or dispose of used batteries according to local regulations and keep away from children. Do NOT dispose of batteries in household trash or incinerate.

The remote control is compatible only with battery type 3 V CR2025.
Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
Do not force discharge, recharge, disassemble, heat or incinerate. Doing so may result in injury due to venting, leakage or explosion resulting in chemical burns.
Ensure the batteries are installed correctly according to polarity (+ and -).
Do not mix old and new batteries, different brands or types of batteries, such as alkaline, carbon-zinc, or rechargeable batteries.
Remove and immediately recycle or dispose of batteries from equipment not used for an extended period of time according to local regulations.
Always completely secure the battery compartment. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the appliance, remove the batteries, and keep them away from children.

When the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals of a battery are in electrical contact with each other, the battery becomes short-circuited. In the event that the electrolyte comes into contact with the skin or eyes, immediately flush with fresh water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention.
Never heat batteries in order to revive them. When a battery is exposed to heat, venting, leakage and explosion may occur and cause personal injury.
Never attempt to disassemble, crush, puncture or open batteries. Such abuse may result in venting, leakage, rupture, and cause personal injury.
Purchase the correct size and grade of cell or battery most suitable for the intended use.

5. Before First Use

DANGER
Risk of suffocation!
Keep any packaging materials away from children and pets – these materials are a potential source of danger, e.g. suffocation.

Remove all the packing materials.
Remove and review all components before use.
Check the appliance for transport damages.
Before connecting the appliance to the power supply, check that the power supply voltage and current rating corresponds with the power supply details shown on the appliance rating label.
The appliance may emit a slight smell or smoke when it is first used. This is entirely safe and harmless. Ensure there is adequate ventilation in the room.
Remove the plastic tab from the remote control’s battery compartment.

6. Inserting Batteries

NOTICE
Replace the battery if the range of the remote control decreases noticeably or if the appliance cannot be controlled via remote control.

Remove the battery compartment cover from the remote control.
Replace the existing battery with one of the same type.
Refit the battery compartment cover.

7. Operation

NOTICE
Use the control panel on the main unit or the remote control to operate the appliance. Point the remote control towards the IR receiver in the lower left corner of the front grill (A).

7.1 Switching on/off

Connect the power cord (G) to a suitable outlet. The power indicator (B) lights up.
To switch the appliance on, press the button (C). The thermostat indicators (F) light up.
To switch the appliance off, press the button (C) twice.

– After switching the appliance off, the power indicator (B) blinks and the appliance blows cold air for 60 seconds to cool down. When the appliance cools down, the fan stops and the power indicator (B) lights up continuously.

7.2 Adjusting the temperature

NOTICE

The appliance starts heating on the default temperature, 85 °F.
After reaching the set temperature, the power indicator (B) starts blinking. The appliance blows cold air for 60 seconds and then switches off. When the room temperature drops below the set temperature level, the appliance switches on again automatically.
To increase the temperature, press the button (D).
To decrease the temperature, press the button (E).

7.3 Using ECO mode

In ECO mode, the thermostat cycles between the low and high temperature settings.

To switch ECO mode on, turn the appliance on and press the button (C) once. The ECO indicator lights up.
To switch ECO mode off, press the button (C) again. The appliance switches off.

8. Cleaning and Maintenance

WARNING

To prevent electric shock, unplug the appliance before cleaning.
During cleaning do not immerse the electrical parts of the appliance in water or other liquids. Never hold the appliance under running water.

8.1 Cleaning

I To clean the appliance, wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
I Wipe the appliance dry after cleaning.
I Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scourers, metal or sharp utensils to clean the appliance.

8.2 Storage

Store the appliance in a cool, dry area. Keep away from children and pets.

9. Frequently Asked Questions

The appliance makes unexpected crackling noises.| The crackling noise is normal. Once the appliance heats up, the crackling stops.

Operate the appliance in a well ventilated area. Keep the appliance switched on, until the smell disappears. If the smell persists, switch the appliance off and consult a qualified professional.
