Installation

1. Step 1: Prepare the door and check dimensions
   • Ensure door compatibility and remove existing deadbolt.
   • Check for standard US door holes with specific dimensions.
   • If required, replace bolts with longer ones for thicker doors.
2. Step 2: Preparation Before Installation
   • Prepare necessary tools such as a ruler, waterpass, screwdriver, and 4 AAA batteries.
3. Step 3: Install the Door Lock
   • Follow the detailed instructions provided in the manual for proper installation.
   • Ensure correct placement of components and secure assembly.
   • Connect the lock to the APP, add fingerprints, and set unlocking direction.

INSTALLATION

STEP 1. Prepare the door and check dimensions

1. Make sure your door is compatible and remove your existing deadbolt from your door.
2. Check if your door has holes like the one below. Standard US doors are already compatible.

STEP 2. Preparation Before Installation

STEP 3. Install the Door Lock

Please complete the installation of the lock, connect the APP and add your fingerprint, and then switch the unlocking direction in the APP.

1. Insert and screw the Deadbolt(E) into the hole. (Make sure the holes of deadbolt is facing down)
   Then insert and screw G and H into the doorframe.

2. Insert the Exterior Assembly(A) into the hole and through the deadbolt(make sure the wire passes under of the latch).

3. Remove the 3 screws at the position marked in the picture. And remove the back panel.
4. Align the 2 Flat Head Screws (I) with the holes of Exterior Assembly(A) and fix the back panel.
5. Fix the back panel and door with Screw(F).
6. Wire to the Interior Assembly(B).
7. Fasten the screws back on.
8. Install the battery and close the cover.

Reminder: It is recommended to check whether the key can be used after the installation is completed, and store your mechanical key outdoors for backup!

APP OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. APP installation
   Scan the QR code; or install the “Tuya Smart” in the APP Store. Then follow the prompts to register and log in.

2. Add device: (Make sure your phone’s Blutooth is on) Press keypad to wake the lock. Wait about 10 seconds for the “Add Smart Lock” page to pop up[as shown in the figure(left 1)]. If not, you can follow the instructions below to add the lock.

3. Add unlocking method Follow the steps below to add unlocking method according to the app guidelines.
   unlocking methods can be added or modified.

4. Member management
   The family member added for the first time is the administrator.click “+”in the upper right to add other members.

5. Switch motor rotation direction
   After adding fingerprints, you can switch the door lock to open the door clockwise or anticlockwise follow the instructions below.

6. Factory reset and unbind
   Click “Disconnect and wipe data” to unbind, all data in the device will be cleared. If the APP is not connected to the smart lock, you can also disconnect the device remotely.

7. Obtain dynamic password Swipe right at the position shown in Figure 1 below, then click “Obtain Dynamic Password”, a string of passwords will be generated automatically, just copy and send the password to the person who needs it.

FAQ

How to unlock if the battery dies and keys are lost?
There is a USB charging port under the Exterior part, which can be used for emergency power supply with a power bank.
Unable to unlock remotely when Bluetooth is disconnected. After connecting to the gateway, you can also use wifi to remotely unlock the lock after disconnecting Bluetooth.

What is Auto-Lock function? How to set Auto-Lock?
Auto-lock is a feature built into our smart lock that automatically locks your door when it is closed.
Click the Setting button in the smart lock device tab > automatic lock switch

Enable the Auto-lock, then finish the set.
