Product Usage Instructions
Placement of the DOD Meatbox
Most guitarists/bassists prefer placing the DOD Meatbox toward the beginning of their chain of effects. Start with this placement and adjust as needed to find your desired sound.
Setup of the DOD Meatbox
Start with all controls at the 12:00 position, which is the midpoint. Then adjust each control according to your taste. If the result is too extreme, turn the controls down to lower settings.
Note : The optimal settings will depend on the output level of your instrument, the dynamic range of your playing style, and the desired effect results.
FAQ
- Q: What is the purpose of the Octave Control?
- A: The Octave Control is used to increase or decrease the amount of low octave being added to the signal. Turning it clockwise will increase the amount of low octave.
- Q: How do I connect the DOD Meatbox to my amplifier and other effects?
- A : Use the Output Connector (TRS) to connect the DOD Meatbox to the input of your amplifier and/or other effects. This output allows you to route a dry, unaffected signal (Ring) and an affected signal (Tip) simultaneously using a TRS Y cable. The Tip represents Octave+Sub, the Ring represents Dry, and the Sleeve represents Ground.
- Q: Can I use a power supply with the DOD Meatbox?
- A : Yes, you can connect a standard 9V power supply (optional) to the Power Supply Connector of the DOD Meatbox.
HOW IT WORKS
Placement of the DOD Meatbox
Most guitarists/bassists will favor placing the DOD Meatbox toward the
beginning of their chain of effects, so start with that placement.
That being said, you may wish to experiment with effect placement to find the
sound that best fits your playing.
Setup of the DOD Meatbox
Start with the controls at 12:00, their midpoint.
Then adjust to taste. If the result is too extreme, turn the controls down to
lower settings.
All settings will be heavily dependent on the output level of your instrument,
the dynamic range of your playing style, and the results you want from the
effect.
