HOW TO PLAY
HOW TO PLAY VIRTUAL REALITY APPS/GAMES
- STEP 1: Download a Virtual Reality App/Game
- Option 1: Search for Virtual Reality apps on your app store, you can do that by searching for terms such as “VR game,” “360 game,” or “VR.”Once you find a VR app that you like simply download and install it.
- Option 2: Go to our VR links page and click on one of the recommended Virtual Reality apps/games to go directly to its download page. Make sure to click the “PlayStore” link if you have an Android smartphone and to click the “AppleStore” if you have an iOS smartphone (Apple smartphone).

STEP 2: Run the Virtual Reality App/Game
Play your VR app by tapping it, proceed with the app directions until the smartphone’s screen is split into 2 parts as shown on Figure 1. Once you see the split screen you can proceed to Step 3. -
STEP 3: How to place the smartphone in the VR Headset
- Remove the cover from your smartphone (recommended).
- Take out the smartphone holder by pulling the edge out from the headset as shown in Figure 2.

- Place your smartphone in the smartphone holder, and make sure the split line is perfectly aligned with the center mark on your phone holder as shown in Figure 3.

- Close the smartphone holder gently without moving the smartphone alignment, as shown in Figure 4.
Note: If your smartphone has side buttons that are pressed against the plastic use the foam pads to create space for the buttons.
- STEP 4: Wear the VR Headset
- Adjust the straps to fit your head.
- Adjust the lenses to get a clear image: use the top adjustment buttons to adjust the lenses left, right, back and forward as shown in Figure 5.
- You can adjust each eye separately if necessary.
- STEP 5: Controlling the game
- Most of the VR apps will require you to “click” on virtual buttons to start the game, these virtual buttons can usually be “clicked” by gazing at them. If that is the case with your VR app simply gaze steadily at the button.
- Note: Some VR apps require an outer control, such as a remote control. These apps won’t work fully without a remote.
HOW TO PLAY VIRTUAL REALITY / 3D VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE
STEP 1: Find a Virtual Reality video on YouTube.
- Option 1: Search for Virtual Reality videos on YouTube, you can do that by searching for terms that contain the words “VR 360”, “Virtual Reality” or “360”. Once you find a VR video that you like simply click it.
- Option 2: Go to our VR links page and click on one of the recommended Virtual Reality YouTube videos to play it directly.
STEP 2: Play the Virtual Reality video
- Once you played the VR video on your smartphone make sure it is in full-screen mode, at that point the video should be changing according to your smartphone’s movement.
- IMPORTANT! Before placing the smartphone in the headset make sure the screen is split into 2 parts. To do so you will need to tap the screen once to see the video timeline at the bottom. At the right side of the time line a glasses icon should appear, tap it, approve the following screen instructions and your smartphone screen should be split into 2 parts.
- Now you are ready to place the smartphone in the headset.
STEP 3: How to place the Smartphone in the VR Headset.

- ATLASONIX is not responsible for the VR apps, games, or video content, phone installation and quality. These parameters are determined by the mobile device and the user’s choice.
RECOMMENDED OPTIONAL FEATURES
Foam Square Pads
- The foam square pads prevent unwanted pressing of side buttons against the phone holder plastic. Stick the foam square pads to create a gap for the buttons as shown in Figure 6.
- The foam square pads can also prevent the smartphone from sliding and to obtain a better vertical alignment of the image.
Cardboard App – For better Virtual Reality performance
- Cardboard App (Google) is an App that connects?automatically to many VR apps, and also allows you to set it up to work specifically with the ATLASONIX VR Headset, for better performance.
Here are the steps to use it:
- Download “Cardboard” app by Google
- Run it
- Tap the settings, the 3 buttons on the top right corner
- Tap “viewer”
- Scan the ATLASONIX QR code

SMARTPHONE REQUIREMENTS
- VR Headset is designed for 4 to 6.2 inch smartphones.
- Gyroscope is required to fully enjoy the VR experience.
- VR experience is optimized if your smartphone’s screen is full HD resolution (1920×1080) or higher.
TROUBLESHOOTING
- Can’t See Clearly
- Make sure the headset lenses and smartphone surface are clean.
- Run a VR app and make sure the image on the smartphone is split in two.
- Make sure that the split line is exactly in the middle of the holder when inserting.
- Make sure to adjust the lenses with the adjustment buttons to fit your vision.
- If you wear glasses, try using the headset with and without them.
- If all the above doesn’t help try to use a different phone with a bigger screen.
- Images skipping in VR apps
- Your smartphone processor might not be strong enough or memory might be full, restart the smartphone.
- Download a lighter VR app, or use a smartphone with stronger processor.
- No glasses icon on Youtube when playing a VR 360 video
- Make sure your smartphone has a gyroscope.
- Make sure you have the standard YouTube version (not all versions support it).
- Make sure your YouTube app is up to date.
- Restart your smartphone.
- YouTube VR video resolution is low
- Click the gear icon and choose higher resolution.
- Switch to a faster network connection to support the higher resolution.
- Can’t control my game
- Look at under Step 5.
- Volume/on-off buttons are getting pressed against the plastic . Foam Square Pads”.
WARNINGS AND NOTES
- Keep the lenses clean and safe. Use the lens cleaning cloth included in this pack in order to clean them.
- Do not wear glasses when using the VR Headset. We strongly recommend trying the VR Headset without glasses or contact lenses: in most cases, the VR Headset’s lenses replace glasses satisfactorily in order to enjoy the full VR experience. If you cannot properly see the screen, we recommend wearing contact lenses.
- Do not use your VR Headset while charging the smartphone.
- Keep away from children under 12 years old. The use of the VR headset by children should be supervised by an adult. We suggest limiting children’s usage time and make sure they are taking breaks.
- Prolonged use may cause fatigue. Do not use your VR Headset in case of dizziness, headache or any other disease.
- VR Headset is not recommended if you are pregnant, have high blood pressure or are afraid of heights.
- VR experience can cause epileptic episodes in rare cases.
- Verify that the environment is safe before you wear the VR Headset.
- Keep small parts away from babies and young children.
