Product Usage Instructions

Product Description

The front panel of the monitor has an indicator light. After connecting the power, the indicator light turns red. Long press the button to turn on the monitor, and it will turn yellow. Once the signal is connected, it will turn green.

Rear Panel Instruction

• The rear panel of the monitor has a battery lock. The PUSH lock will lock after the battery is installed. Please press PUSH before removing the battery.
• The monitor also features an NP-F & LP-E6 dual-purpose battery slot, which is compatible with F970 series batteries and E6 series batteries.

Top Button Instruction

• The top button has multiple functions. Long press to turn on and off the power. Short press to turn on and off the screen touch function. The MENU button is used to adjust the volume or backlight when the menu is not displayed.
• Press it to open the main menu, rotate the wheel to select a menu item, and press it again to open the corresponding menu function. (See details: 2. Menu Operation Instruction)

Bottom Port Instruction

• The bottom port includes an SD card slot for 3DLUT upload via SD card and firmware upgrade.
• It also features a DC IN 12V port for DC power input, a 3.5mm earphone port output, and a DC IN 5V (Type-C) port which can be connected to a power bank for local power supply.
• (Note: This port is not used for data transmission and cannot provide loop-out power).

Left Port Instruction

The left port includes an HDMI IN port for HDMI signal input (up to 4K@30Hz) and an HDMI OUT port for HDMI signal output (up to 4K@30Hz).
It also has a DC OUT 8V port for DC power output, which can be used to power your camera with a separately available DC coupler via an adaptor (compatible with NP-FW50 Sony, LP-E6 Canon, and DMW-BLF19 Panasonic). More adapters coming soon.

FAQ

How do I clean the screen of the monitor?

To maintain the LCD screen and protect the cover, please follow these guidelines:

1. Avoid using hard objects to hit the screen.
2. Do not force to wipe the screen.
3. Avoid using chemical solutions to clean the screen.
4. Do not spray any detergent on the screen.
5. Do not write on the screen directly.
6. Avoid sticking anything on the screen.
7. Simply wipe with a clean soft cloth and make sure no water is left on the screen.

Can I use the monitor in sunlight?

• Yes, the monitor has a high brightness of 1600nits, which makes it visible even in sunlight.

What power supply options are available for the monitor?

• The monitor can be powered by DC IN 12V, Type-C 5V, and NP-F & LP-E6 dual-purpose battery slot.
• You can choose the power supply option that suits your needs.

Can I use the monitor to power my camera?

• Yes, the monitor has a DC 8V power out port that can be used to power your DSLR camera or mirrorless camera.

CAUTION

• Please avoid heavy impact and drop onto the ground when moving the product.
• The screen of this product is made of glass. Please do not drop the screen towards the ground. Keep away from injury if the screen is broken.
• Keep the product away from the heat source, and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun as the LCD screen will be damaged.
• To avoid damaging the product, please do not take apart or repair the unit by yourself without the adjustable components in the unit.
• To better maintain the LCD screen and protect the cover, please follow the following ways to avoid damage.

Front Panel Instruction

• DC OUT 8V: DC power output interface, polarity as the output power Barrel output for powering your camera with a separately available DC coupler via an adaptor (NP-FW50 Sony & LP-E6 Canon&DMW-BLF19 Panasonic).

Power Supply Way

1. The rear cover of the monitor is equipped with an F970 and E6 dual-purpose battery plate, which applies to the F970 series of batteries and E6 series of batteries.
   • Sony F970 battery plate for the battery of Sony DV: Sony F970 F960 F950 F930 F770 F750 F730 F570 F550 F530 series.
   • LP-E6 battery plate for a battery of Canon DV: Canon LP-E6
2. Barrel (5.5mm outer, 2.1mm inner) at the bottom of the monitor, DC 7~24V Input.
3. The bottom of the monitor has a Type-C 5V input power port, which can be connected to a power bank.

• Remark: It is recommended to use standard original F970 batteries. Different specifications of the battery have different capabilities.
• The working time for the monitor will be different. Higher capability (working time) will be longer.
• Please take off the battery from the monitor if you don’t use the monitor for a long time.

Mount Points

• There are (3) ¼-20 thread points (top, bottom, & right side) that can be easily connected to the hot shoe mount, and tripod fixed installation.

Tilt Arm Mounting

• The monitor secures to your camera using the included Tilt Arm via shoe mount or 1/4″-20 thread.
• Allows the monitor to rotate 360 degrees for viewing convenience
• Secure and lightweight mounting via shoe mount or 1/4″-20 thread
• Includes a shoe mount of its own for accessories like a microphone, LED light, or wireless receiver, etc.
• There are two small dots on the tilt arm, which are aligned with the monitor for installation, the connection is more stable, just grab the monitor to rotate without loosening the screws.

Sunshade

• First, lock the Sunshade Frame ②with the monitor tight ③.
• Open the sunshade ①, and match the sticker on the sunshade inside to the marked part of the sunshade frame ②, smooth and press 3 sides on the sunshade, and then complete the sunshade installation ④.

Menu Operation Instruction

• After the monitor is properly connected to the power supply, the indicator light is on (red).
• Press the button to turn on the monitor power. The indicator light turns yellow.
• After inputting the HDMI signal, the indicator light turns from yellow to green.
• After startup, short press to select to turn the screen touch function on or off.

1. Directly touch the screen for menu operation (turn on the screen touch function)
2. Double-click on the screen to open the main menu (on the left side of the screen) and click on the corresponding menu to display the secondary menu. You can enter the corresponding function option and click directly to select or set. Click the touch screen to exit the menu.
3. When the menu is not displayed, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the shortcut menu, and click the function icon to open the corresponding function, click the icon again to exit the function. Swipe the shortcut menu left and right to select more functions. Click the touch screen outside the shortcut menu to exit the shortcut menu display.
4. On the left side of the screen (1/2 split screen), you can directly adjust the brightness of the screen backlight; on the right side of the screen (1/2 split screen), you can directly adjust the volume.

6. When the menu is not displayed, directly rotate the wheel to backlight or volume adjustment. You can set the left and right buttons in the Left-Right Key Set of the menu User Option
7. Press the “MENU” scroll wheel button to enter the OSD main menu, and scroll the wheel to go through the secondary menu function.
8. Press the “MENU” wheel key to enter the secondary menu, scroll the wheel to select the function, and then press “MENU” to confirm.
9. Scroll the wheel to adjust the parameter value.
10. Long press the MENU wheel button to exit the menu.

How to Load LUT

SD card format

• Support FAT32 or NTFS. For MAC system, the SD card should be formatted in MS-DOS (FAT)

Max Files Limit Maximum 32 Lut files File requirements

• The LUT file format suffix should be .cube
• Single file not exceeding 7.9Mb
• Support LUT-3D-Size 16,17,32,33,64,65
• Remark: LUT file name must be English or Arabic numerals

Steps for loading

• Make sure the SD card is correctly inserted
• Enter main menu –LUT–Lut Import — click Confirm to load the monitor will auto-detect the SD card
• If there is a valid lut file in the SD card, the monitor will load lut files and show “[n] name. The [n] shows the quantity number. The “name” should be in the lut files’ name.
• If the load is successful, the screen will show “complete[n]”. [n] Stands for the quantity number for lut files should be under 32.

PS: How to clear up the imported LUTs?

• Insert an empty SD card into the monitor, enter the main menu –LUT–Lut Import click Confirm, and the imported LUTs will be clear up.

Trouble Shooting

Only black and white or monochrome pictures:

1. please check saturation, brightness & contrast adjustment.
2. Please check that “Monochrome” is in black, white, or monochrome image or other condition.

NO Image after putting on the power

1. Check if the signal cable connecting is in good condition.
2. Check the signal cable connecting, and make sure to use the standard adapter to connect the monitor. If power is supplied by the battery, please check if the battery is fully charged.

Earphone No sound

1. Check if the Volume control does not open, press the volume button, and try to increase the volume.
