A- SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

This manual is an integral part of your product.
These instructions are provided for your safety. Read this manual carefully before installing and keep it in a safe place for future reference. Select a suitable location. Make sure you can easily insert screws and wallplugs into the wall. Do not connect your electrical appliance until your equipment is totally installed and controlled. The installation, electric connections and settings must be made using best practices by a specialized and qualified person. The power supply must be installed in dry place. Check the product s only used for its intended purpose.
The function of this videophone is to identify a visitor, it must not be used for street surveillance. The use of this installation must be in compliance with the French law n® 78-17 of January 6, 1978 relating to data processing, files and freedoms. It s up to the buyer to ask the CNIL about the conditions and administrative authorisations required for use outside a strictly personal context. SCS Sentinel cannot be held responsible in case of use of this product outside the laws and regulations in force.

C- WIRING / INSTALLATION

C1- Monitor installation Charging indoor monitor
Before initial operation, you should fully charge the indoor monitor for about 5 hours on its base/(to plug).

C2- Outdoor station installation
OPTION 1: Batteries power OPTIONS 2 AND 3 : supply power C3- Wiring diagram
Before cabling, please strip the cables on5mm.
Using a screwdriver, press the orange part on the block.
Introduce the stripped cable into the  hole and release the orange key.
The cable is now in place. OPTION 1: batteries supply – gate opening only OPTION 2 : power supply – lock opening OPTION 3 : power supply – gate opening

Please use cable not more than 0.5 m?. The outdoor station may be powered by the batteries OR  the power supply (notincluded). Do not use batteries and power supply together at the same time.
Exit button( option) : Activates the lock or the gate. C4- Test your product

  1. ONCE THE INDOOR MONITOR B IS POWERED, TEST ITS OPERATING. Press the door station, if the phone rings, your device is in service! You can proceed to check 2.
    If your device doesn’t ring, X pair the phone with the door station on page

  2. TEST THE PRODUCT  IN ITS ENVIRONMENT

Be careful the distance of 150m is called «free field», that is to say without obstacles.
Barbed wire, entry door, walls, pillar, trees and nearby electromagnetic activity (power lines, telephony) can seriously weaken the signal.
If the phone sounds in the tested environment, installation.
If it doesn’t sound, change the location of the door station and/or ante until you find the ideal

In order to ensure smooth communication, please note the following.

  1. Install the outdoor station in a place away from rain. Try to avoid the sunlight into camera lens. Do not place the outdoor station directly on metal security door, because metal will have barrier effect on the signal. Outdoor station can be installed on the wall nearby.
  2. Reduce the obstacle between outdoor station and indoor handset. The obstacle will weaken the signal. In the case  that there is the obstruction which affects transmission distance, please shorten the distance between transmitterand receiver.
  3. Do not put any product of the same frequency such as router, TV, computer, bluetooth device and microwave oven next to our device in order to avoid causing the interference and shortening of communication distance. When outdoor station is in communication with indoor handset, if someane walks on the distance between 2 devices, the communication might be less effective. The indoor handset cannot be put in low-lying place or corner.

In a HIGH and CENTRAL location with no obstructions such as walls, microwave oven and WIFI.

D1- Alarm

When someone takes the outdoor station apart from the bracket, the outdoor station and indoor monitor will give alarm tone. In this case, the call button is invalid on the outdoor station. Press  or   on indoor monitor to stop alarm sounds.
(The alarm time can be up to 5 minutes. )

D2- Calling indoor handset

D3- Photos

  1. If you press — (right) during the conversation, the camera will take a photo of visitor. (Up to 100 photos can be stored.)
  2. If you press — (right) from standby mode, the camera will take a photo of the view.

Only if the outdoor unitis connected with 12V DC transformator.
D4- Call button backlight

  1. If the outdoor station is supplied by 12V DC, the backlight o call button is on.
  2. Ifthe outdoor station is supplied by battery, the backlight of call button is off
  3. In the registration, calling, alarm and intercom status, the backlight will flash

E- SETTINGS

Turning on

Volume


Press the 229 key to access the
menu. Press up & down to choose the volume mode. Then press [N| Press up & down to choose the talking volume, ringtone  volume & ringing time.| Press left & right to adjust volume. Do the same for the ringtone  volume & the ringing time. (1-60 seconds)
Then press Select

Mute mode
When setting ringing Time to 0 second, the monitor is on mute mode. Press to confirm the settings and return to previous menu.

Brightness


Press Select  the key to access the menu.
Press up to choose the brightness mode. Then press Select| Press left & right to adjust the brightness. Then press Select

Key tone


Press the key to access the menu, Press up & down to choose
the keytone mode.
Then press Select| Press up & down to choose ON or OFF to enable or disable the function.
Then press Select

Ring tone


Press the Select key to access the menu Press up & down to choose the wallpaper.
Then press Select| Press up & down to choose the wallpaper.
Then press  Select

Snap set


| Press the Select key to access the menu Press up & down to choose the wallpaper.
Then press Select| Press up & down to choose ON or OFF to enable or disable the function
Then press  Select

Snap show (delete redorded photos)


Press the Select  key to access the menu.
Press up & down to choose the snap show.
Then press  Select| Press left & right to choose the photo,
Press Select  to delete the photo.
Press   to delete all the photos.
Press Select  to the previous menu

Date & Time


Press the Select  key to access the menu.
Press up & down to choose the date & time.
Then press Select| Press up & down – left & right to adjust the time and date.
Then press Select

Door Set


Press the Select  key to access the menu Press up & down to choose the door set.
Then press Select| Press up & down to choose the volume, ring time & unlock time.
Then press Select| Press left & right to adjust the volume, the ring time (1-15 seconds)  time (1-9 seconds).
Puis appuyer sur Select

(If setting ring time is 0 seconds, the outdoor station will not make sound when the call button is pressed( mute mode).

Language


Press the Select  key to access the menu.
Press up & down to choose the language.
Then press Select| Press up & down to choose the language.
Then press Select

Wallpaper


Press the Select key to access the menu Press up & down to choose the wallpaper.
Then press Select| Press up & down to choose the
wallpaper. Then press Select

Version


Press the Select  key to access the menu.
Press up & down to choose the version.
Then press Select| Press up & down to check the version. Then press Select

Monitor settings

Reset


Press the Select  key to access the menu.
Press up & down to choose the default set.
Then press Select| Press up & down to choose Yes to confirm or NO to cancel.
Then press Select

If you reset the indoor monitor, all of the settings will return to the factory default.
Pairing
The pairngis not necessary when you get yourvdeaphone. It s aready been paied with factory defaut:

  1. Press the button on the outdoor unit with & pin during 5 seconds Maximum transmitted power <20dBm tillit bleeps.
    The call button will flash in blue for 1 minute.

  2. To be done within the call button flashes in blue: Press the Select key to access the menu.
    Press up & down to choose Register.
    Press — (left) Green points will display on the screen.

H- WARNINGS

  • Maintain a minimum distance of 10 cm around the device for sufficient ventilation.
  • Be sure that the device is not blocked by paper, tablecloth, curtain or other items that would impede airflow.
  • Keep matches, candles and flames away from the device.
  • Product functionality can be influenced by a strong electromagnetic interference.
  • This equipment s intended for private consumer use only.
  • The appliance should not be exposed to dripping or splashing water; no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, should be placed near the appliance.
  • The mains plug is used as disconnect device and shall remain readily operable during intended use.
  • The monitor and the adapter must only be used indoors.
  • Connect allthe parts before switching on the power.
  • Only connect your appliance using the provided adapter.
  • Do ot cause any impact on the elements as their electronics are fragile.
  • Do not lock the microphone –
  • Wheninstalling the product, keep the packaging out of reach of children and animas. It is a source of potential danger.
  • This appliance is not a toy. It not designed to be used by children.

  Disconnect the appliance from the main power supply before service. Do not clean the product with solvent, abrasive or corrosive substances. Only use a soft cloth. Do not spray anything on the appliance.
Make sure that your appliance is properly maintained and regularly checked in order o detect any sign of  wear. Do not use itf a repair or adjustment is needed. Always call on quaified personnel.
Don’t throw out of order products and batteries with the household waste (garbage). The dangerous substances & thatthey are likely to include may harm health or the environment. Make your retailer take back these products or use the selective collect of garbage proposed by your city.
