Product Usage Instructions

Unpacking

Before starting, make sure you have all the necessary content. The contents may vary depending on your location.

1. Open the packaging of the printer.

Turning On

1. Connect the printer to a power source.
2. Press the power button to turn on the printer.

Installing the Ink Cartridges

1. Open the ink cartridge package only when you are ready to install it.
2. Shake the cartridge gently and remove it from the package.
3. Remove any yellow tape or protective coverings from the cartridge.
4. Insert the cartridge into the designated slot until it clicks into place.
5. Wait for approximately 2.5 minutes for the printer to initialize the ink cartridges.
6. Close the ink cartridge compartment.

Note : The first ink cartridges installed in your printer may print fewer pages as they are used to charge the print head.

Installing the Software

1. If you are using Mac OS X, insert the provided software CD into your computer. If you are using Windows, follow the next step.
2. Connect your printer to your computer using the provided USB cable.
3. Wait for the installation screen to appear. If it doesn’t appear, click Cancel.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the software installation.

Loading Paper

1. Open the paper tray of the printer.
2. Adjust the paper guides to fit the size of the paper you are using.
3. Load the paper with the printable side facing up.
4. Make sure the paper is aligned properly and fits within the paper guides.
5. Close the paper tray.

FAQ

• Q: How long should I wait after installing the ink cartridges?
  • A : You should wait for approximately 2.5 minutes for the printer to initialize the ink cartridges.

3. Follow the instructions.
4. Connect to your PC.
5. Check, and then click Next to continue.
6. Installation complete.

Loading Paper

1. Open.
2. Open and pull out.
3. Pinch and slide.
4. Load the paper with the printable side up.
5. Fit.
