Pairing
Pairing is the process of connecting the iSport adapter with your Bluetooth headphones. The adapter can remember only one paired device at a time. If you want to pair it with a second Bluetooth device, you will need to repair the original headphones. To pair iSport with your Bluetooth headphones, follow these steps:
- Turn on your iPhone or iPod.
- Plug iSport into the bottom of the iPhone or iPod.
- Your iPhone or iPod will automatically authenticate with iSport, which may take a few seconds.
- After authentication, iSport will flash faster and enter pairing mode.
- Put your Bluetooth headphones into pair mode (refer to your headphone’s user manual for instructions if needed).
- iSport and your headphones will find each other and pair. You can now listen to your music wirelessly.
If you want to pair with another device, make sure to turn off the original paired headphones first and then follow the above steps.
Troubleshooting
If the connection between the port adapter and headphones fails, it could be due to the following reasons:
- The iSport and headphones are too far apart (the range is 10 meters or 33 feet).
- You are outdoors or in a large open space where the signal cannot bounce off walls and ceilings to achieve the full 10-meter range. Try having the devices closer.
- Your body is causing interference by being between the devices (Bluetooth does not work well in water, and your body is mostly water).
- The headphones’ passcode is not one of the accepted codes (0000, 1111, 1234, or 8888).
If you experience any unexpected behaviour and the music is not playing, try restarting iSport by unplugging it from your iPhone or iPod, plugging it back in, and playing a song. Wait a few seconds for reconnection. Alternatively, you can push the optional pair button for 7 seconds to reset and forget all paired devices.
