For the FCC ID of 2 BEBD-NA18T68, the approved device without 5G wifi and 4G functions. The 5G wifi and 4G functions have been disabled by software.

Precautions

It is highly recommended to seek professional help for the installation or servicing of this product, as it involves electronic equipment and automotive accessories that may pose risks such as electric shock, injury, or other hazards if handled by untrained individuals.

This product is designed for vehicles with a 12V DC power system only. Do not install it on vehicles with a different power supply, as it may damage the product or cause a fire due to over-voltage.

Turn off the car and disconnect the positive battery terminal before installation, insulate all wires properly after installation to prevent short circuits that can lead to product damage or fires.

Avoid using the car audio system for an extended period after turning off the engine to prevent draining the battery power.

If the product gets exposed to water damage or foreign matter while driving, park the vehicle in a safe location, turn off the ignition switch (ACC OFF) immediately, and consult your dealer or customer service. Do not use the product in this condition, as it may result in fire, electric shock, or other failures.

In case of smoke, strange noises, unusual odors, or any other abnormal signs during normal use, immediately turn off the power and consult your dealer or customer service. Do not use the product in this condition, as it may result in fire, electric shock, or other failures.

Product Operation

Home Screen

Date & Time
Displaying the date and time, click it to enter the setting interface.

Driving and current playing windows
The driving window displays the GPS instant speed, click the speed, the un it will be switched(mph or km/h).
Sliding the window to the left will switch to the current audio playback interface, and you can control playback on it.

Picture in picture
This window can play maps, videos, DVR, etc.
Click on the icon to select other APK you need to play.

Shortcut main icon
Click to enter the functions, long press the icon to change the icon.

Status Bar
Swipe down the status bar to display hidden shortcut keys (includes WiFi, Hotspot, Settings, etc.), then slide down again to zoom in the status bar (brightness adjustment, date, etc.).

Bluetooth

Click this icon in the application menu to enter the radio interface.

Pair and connect
For the phone first connection: Turn on the phone Bluetooth, search by phone Bluetooth or search for Bluetooth devices through the stereo, then connect. The stereo Bluetooth name is NewCarBT, the password is 0000.

Click to download and update the phone book. Please ensure that sharing contacts via Bluetooth is enabled before synchronizing contacts.

Bluetooth Setting

& Click to set the device name and PIN.
Auto connect switch, open it, the stereo will automatically connect to the last phone disconnected.
Auto answer, open it, the stereo will answer the call automatically.

When the phone is connected to the device, the audio system automatically connect to a paired phone. Click this icon in the application menu to enter the following interface:

Radio

Click this icon ejin the application menu to enter the radio interface.

Band Switching

Click this icon to switch between FM1 FM2 FM3 AM1 AM2.

Fine-Tune Search

Click or icon trimming point by point, long press the manual search, when the search to the radio will automatically stop.

Automatic Search

Click icon to search station, click again, the search will stop automatically.Long press this to search and store stations automatically. Click this icon to terminate the automatic search for a station.

WiFi

Support connecting to the network via WiFi.
Click Settings>Network & internet>Wi-Fi to come into the interface. (Alternatively, swipe down from the top of the screen and then long press the WiFi icon to quickly enter the WiFi settings interface.)
Turn on the switch to open the WiFi, if you are surrounded by WLAN network in the list on the right column will be searched.

4G network (Optional)

Supports 4G and 3G frequency bands, does not support 2G network.
Plug the RCA cable and 4G antenna in the device back side, then insert the SIM card into the card slot.

Note: Different areas and operators use different network band. Please refer to the table below before using your SIM card. Network bands that are not in the table are not supported.

Wireless Carplay

Click the ZLINK 5 APK to enter the following interface.

Click on the settings icon to access Carplay & Android Auto settings.
Switch to the Carplay & Android Auto or Mirror Link interface by click the corresponding icon

Turn on WiFi and Bluetooth of your iPhone.

Find the Bluetooth of the stereo and connect it ( Bluetooth name: NewCarBT).
When your iPhone is connected for the first time, it will display on the phone screen:
Bluetooth Pairing Request: Click “Pair”.
Allow Contacts and Favorites Sync?: Click “Allow”.
Use CarPlay with “zlink”?: Click “Use CarPlay”.
After you complete the operations on your phone, the car stereo will display “Connecting, Please wait…” and then enter the Carplay interface. Tips: Long press the bottom left lower corner menu key to activate Siri.
Click the “Car” icon to return to the car stereo’s app interface.

Tap Use Carplay on the prompt asking for Carplay to access your phone while it is locked .

Note:

  1. Apple CarPlay does not support playing video applications like YouTube due to safety considerations while driving.
  2. After accessing Carplay, if you want to exit Carplay and play music using Bluetooth, please turn off WiFi instead of disconnecting Bluetooth to disconnect Carplay.

Wireless & Wired Android Auto

Wired Android Auto connection steps:

  1. Go to Play Store and download the Android Auto App in your phone.
  2. Click the ZLINK 5 APK to enter. Switch to the Carplay & Android Auto or Mirror Link interface by pressing the icon.
  3. Connect your phone data cable to the 4-pin USB cable of the car stereo.
  4. Click on the Android Auto app on your phone to enter the wired Android Auto connection.

Note:

  1. Please ensure that your phone supports Google services and Android Auto.
  2. Make sure to use the 4-Pin USB port, otherwise Android Auto will not be available.
  3. Please ensure that your Android system is above version 5.0.

Wireless Android Auto connection steps

  1. Go to Play Store and download the Android Auto App in your phone.
  2. Click the ZLINK 5 APK to enter. Switch to the Carplay & Android Auto or Mirror Link interface by pressing the icon.
  3. Turn on WiFi and Bluetooth of your phone.
  4. Find Bluetooth of the stereo (Bluetooth name: NewCarBT) and connect with it.
  5. Turn on the Android Auto app on your phone after connecting the Bluetooth successfully.
    Note : Please make sure that your phone supports Google services and wireless Android Auto.

  • Click on the icon to switch to the interface shown in the following image.

  • Connect your iPhone data cable to the 4-pin USB cable of the stereo. A pop-up window will appear on your phone.

  • Click on the icon ,then select iPhone.

  • Follow the steps below to connect to the Personal Hotspot on your phone and start wireless screen mirroring by enabling AirPlay and connecting to “zj -airplay”

  1. Turn on the Personal Hotspot feature on your phone.
  2. Connect your device to the phone’s Personal Hotspot network.
  3. Enable AirPlay on your device.
  4. Look for the “zj-airplay” option in the AirPlay device list.
  5. Connect to “zj-airplay” to begin wireless screen mirroring.

Tips :

  1. Videos that support landscape full -screen playback can be played in full -screen on the car stereo.
  2. Wireless screen mirroring may experience lag or delay.It is recommended
    to use wired screen mirroring for higher resolution and zero latency.

  • Click on the icon to switch to the interface shown in the following image.

Choose “Android” icon,scan the QR code to download the “Zplus” app and install it. Turn on the “Zplus” on your phone, choose the Wireless connection, then follow the steps below (there are prompts on both the phone screen and the stereo):

  1. Connect the phone to the stereo Bluetooth (Named: NewCarBT);

  4. Click “START SCREEN PROJECTION” on your phone and allow Zplus to record/project the screen.

Split-screen Multitasking

  1. Click the icon in status bar to view all running apps.
    Swipe up or down to select running apps in the background.

  2. Press and hold the selected app, drag the app to the left or right side.

  3. Touch and hold the split-screen line in the middle, and drag it  left or right to exit split-screen mode.

Note: Some apps don’t support screen multitasking.

GPS Navigation

Navigation APK

  1. Online map
    Google Maps app is preinstalled on our car stereo.You can use an online map after connecting the stereo to the network.

  2. Offline map
    If you are in an area where downloading the data of Google offline map is supported, you can save the map data of that area to the car stereo in Google Maps and use it offline .Or you can download other offline map apps in Google Play such as Here WEGO, Waze …

  3. Apple CarPlay / Android Auto
    For mobile phone, the map on the phone can be synchronized to the car stereo screen via Apple Carplay or Android Auto or Mirror link.

Tips: Some navigation apps will specify the storage path of map data. Storing map data to an external Micro SD card or a USB flash drive is not supported .

GPS Settings

  1. Enter CarSetting>Navi software settings>Navi software setting to select a navigation app as a Navigation shortcut.
  2. Sound Mixing:
    When set to Mixing, you can still listen to the radio and music or hear other sounds when the navigation voice is speaking.
    You can change the volume of the radio, music, or navigation broadcast sounds by adjusting the value of Mix Settings.

GPS Antenna Installation

The GPS antenna can be mounted inside or outside the car, such as on the front console or below the windshield.
Obstructions such as explosion-proof films or thermal insulation films may weaken the satellite signal of the GPS antenna.

Music Playback

This stereo can play audio files from USB and device memory.
The stereo supports music file formats including MP3, M4A, WAV, AMR, WMA, and so on. If the file can’t be supported, it may be prompted.

In the main interface touch the icon to enter the following interface:

  1. View the audio files.

  2. Turn on the playlist of songs.

  3. The playback order switching: sequential, repeat, and shuffle.

  4. Come into DSP sound processor.

  5. To detect the playlist of songs.

  6. Playback progress, click anywhere to jump to the progress of the song.

  7. Playback controls. Click to play and pause, swipe left to switch to next song, swipe right to switch to previous.

Click the icon to access the OSP setting menu.

EQ setting: Seven sound effects offer choice and customization.
Compensate and modify the effect by adjusting Q and gain at different frequencies.
Zone: Set the sound field by adjusting the output of the speakers in each zone. The sound field settings are centered by default.
Channel setting: Adjust the phase and volume of each output channel.
Low & high cut and slope of sound field frequency.
Surround sound: Adjust the delay of each channel to improve the sound surround effect.

Video Playback

This stereo can play video files from USB and device memory.
The stereo supports video file formats including MPEG, MPG, MP4,3GP, MKV, AVI, FLV and so on. If the file can’t be supported, it may be prompted.

In the [main interface] touch the icon to enter the following interface:

Back to the video listing.
Previous video.
Next video.
Come into DSP sound processor.

  • During video playback, slide up and down on the left edge area to adjust the screen brightness, and on the right edge area you can adjust the volume.

Connection & Setting for Reverse Camera

  1. For the cars with the original reverse camera:
    Just connect the yellow Port “A” to the yellow Port “B” (Reverse Camera Input) as the picture show.

  2. To install an aftermarket reverse camera:
    To Connect the yellow Port “B” to the yellow Port “C”.
    The CD Red “Back UP” Camera Wire connects with the “Reverse Power +12V” of the Power Cable. (The third brown wire from the right as the picture show)

The (2) Red wire connect with (3) Red wire and connect with Car reversing light power positive electrode.
The (4)Black wire connect with Car reversing light power negative electrode.

Engage the reverse gear and come into the rearview image, long press the stereo screen, an option box will pop up on the screen to adjust display effects such as brightness and contrast.
If the rearview image is not proper, please click ( ) icon, and select the appropriate option in [HD backcar standard] to base on the camera type.

Steering Wheel Control Setting
  1. Click icon to turn on the setting interface.
  2. Click “Start”, Press the physical button on the steering wheel, then press the corresponding button on the screen, the button will be highlighted in blue after learning.
  3. After all the keys you need have been set, click “End” to finish and save.

Note: If the steering wheel controls is not working for the stereo with Can bus, you need to reset the Canbus type.
Please contact the after-sales support to obtain the instructions for resetting.

Boot Logo Setting

By adding a boot logo, you can customize your favorite startup image, steps:

  1. Prepare the image you want to add according to the following requirements:
    • Format: BMP, PNG, JPG;
    • Resolution: 1024 600, 1280720, or other (depending on your screen resolution);
    • Bitmap: 32 bit.
  2. Create a folder named “boot_logo” on a U-disk, and place your image inside th is folder.
  3. Insert the U-disk into the device USB port, allowing the device to read the U-disk.
  4. Click on “CarSetting>Factory Setting” and enter the password: 1617. Then click on “LOGO Setting>Boot Logo”. The images from the U-disk will be displayed at the bottom. Select the image and click “Set boot logo”.

Picture in Picture: Click icon into the car setting interface, cl ick General>Picture in Picture, turn on the switch.
Buttons lamp color: Come into the Car setting interface, click Key Light come into the setting menu, choose the color which you need.

FAQ

Q: Black screen I can't power on.

A:

  1. Press the RST button on the car stereo. This button is typically used to reset the system and may help resolve any temporary issues;
  2. Check if the car stereo is receiving a stable DC12V vol tage. Ensure that the power source is providing the correct voltage to the stereo;
  3. Inspect the car stereo fuse to see if it is burnt out. If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new one of the same rating;
  4. Reconnect the BATT+/ ACC I GND wires of the car stereo to the corresponding BATT+ / ACC I GND wires of the original car wiring. Ensure the connections are secure and properly aligned.

Q: The radio is not working properly.

A:

  1. Please check if the radio area is set correctly;
  2. Please check it the radio antenna is connected properly and reconnect it to try;
  3. Please check if the ANT control cable is connected properly and reconnect it to try.

Q: Images do not automatically change while reversing.

A: Please connect the reverse control wire of the car stereo to the backup camera trigger wire.

Q:Android Auto is not working.

A:

  1. Please make sure that your phone supports Google services and Android Auto. Please note that some mobile phones don’t support Android Auto, and some mobile phones only support wired Android Auto but not wireless Android Auto;
  2. If your phone supports Android Auto, please install Android Auto APP from the Play Store before using it; 3. To use wired Android Auto, please use the original data cable and connect it to the 4 Pin USB cable of the stereo;
  3. To use wireless Android Auto, please turn on Wifi and Bluetooth of your iPhone and connect your phone’s Bluetooth to the stereo’s Bluetooth. Please note that you only need to connect Bluetooth but not Wifi.

Q:Carplay is not working.

A:To use wireless Carplay, please turn on Wifi and Bluetooth of your iPhone and connect your phone’s Bluetooth to the stereo Bluetooth. Please note that you only need to connect Bluetooth but not Wifi .

Q:If the steering wheel controls are not working.

A:With Canbus: You need to reset the Canbus type. Please contact the after- sales support to obtain the instructions for resetting. B: Without Canbus:

  1. Make sure the steering wheel control wires are connected correctly;
  2. Perform the steering wheel control button learning process.

Q:Media not supported.

A:Change the media format on the USB device.

Q:Phone Bluetooth can not connecting to device;

A:

  1. Make sure the device is within range and the antenna of stereo is connected;
  2. Unpair other devices on your phone then connect to car stereo again.
