the longevity of the high-voltage battery. Charge the high-voltage battery
pack immediately if the SOC is below 20%. When charging, set the maximum state
of charge at 90%
When not in use, the vehicle should be stored in temperatures between 32°F
(0°C) and 113°F (45°C). If the vehicle will be parked for an extended period
(e.g., 30 days), set the maximum SOC at 50%.
Vehicle Battery range can vary depending on conditions such as climate,
driving behavior, road conditions, etc.
This vehicle is equipped with a high-voltage battery system capable of
delivering over 400 volts of direct current.
The high voltage cables and connectors are orange in color for easier
identification. Obey all caution labels that are attached to the vehicle.
Failure to do so could lead to serious injury or death.
Do not touch high-voltage wiring, connectors or high-voltage parts, such as
the inverter unit, high-voltage battery or drive motor. Touching,
disassembling, removing or replacing high-voltage parts, cables and connectors
can cause severe burns or electric shock that may result in serious injury or
death.
HIGH VOLT CHARGING PROCEDURE
The Charging Port is located behind the cab near the passenger door (upper left corner of the passenger wheel well).
- Engage the Parking Brake and remove the Ignition key.
- The exterior red Master Power Switch located behind the cab must be left ON.
- Release the Charging Port door latch.
- Insert Charger. The instrument panel will display charging icon.
- Close the charging door when complete to keep the port clean.
12-VOLT BATTERY CHARGING
- Apply the Parking Brake.
- Turn the Ignition Key switch to the START position.
- The READY telltale will display on the dash cluster.
- Let the vehicle sit in READY state for 2 (two) hours.
If the vehicle is parked for an extended period (e.g., 30 days), the 12V auxiliary battery may lose charge and fail to start the vehicle. To prevent the auxiliary battery from becoming depleted, periodically start the vehicle to allow the 12V battery to charge. To minimize the drain on the battery when the vehicle is parked and unused, make sure the doors are fully closed, door locked and all accessories are turned OFF. Also, make sure the exterior red Master shut off switch is turned OFF.
