OXS Firmware Update Guide
Read before use
Firmware update is performed by connecting the product to the USB-A or USB-C port of a Windows computer. This firmware update procedure applies to the following product.
Product name: OXS Thunder Lite
Product model: OXS S2
This updater has been verified to operate on the operating systems below:
Windows® 10 / Windows® 7
If you should have any questions, please contact the OXS customer support via your purchase channel.
Preparation
1. Go to our official website on the PC:
https://oxsaudio.com/pages/downloads
2. Check the SN number on the back of your product.
(1) If the SN number starts with S0161M37, download the file that ends
with 1st Batch.
(2) If not , download the file that ends with Others.
3. Extract the downloaded update file. The extracted folder should contains
below files:
(1) A firmware update tool: MV_AP82xx_BP10xx_PC_Tools_V2.2.15.exe
(2) A latest firmware that suits the product: S016V42-others.MVA or
S016V42-1st.MVA
4. Use the USB-A to USB-C cable that comes with the product for the following updating process. If you prefer to use the USB-C port of the computer, prepare a USB-C to USB-C cable.
Updating Procedures
1. Connect the TYPE-C port on the back of the product to the USB-A or USB-C port of a Windows computer.
2. Double click the update tool MV_AP82xx_BP10xx_PC_Tools_V2.2.15.exe. There will be green dot in the red circle [1] if the product has successfully connected to the computer. If there is a red dot, try to unplug the cable to reconnect the product to the computer.
3. Click the red rectangle [2] to upload the latest firmware. After that, click the red rectangle [3] to start the firmware update.
Notes
- The update process takes about 2 minutes.
- During the update, please do not attempt to terminate the update tool or disconnect the product from the computer.
4. When the firmware update process is complete, there will be a prompt shown as below in the red rectangle [4]. You may now exit the update tool.
Check the firmware version
1. Press the input button to switch to AUX input (green indicator).
2. Press and hold the VOL+ & Input button. The VOL+ will blink forth times, and the VOL- will blink twice if the latest firmware has been successfully updated.
