Read Me First

1. The product contains tiny parts and is inedible, please avoid accidental ingestion by children. Also, this product is not intended for medical use.
2. Clean the protective UV filter under the lens if you notice a deterioration in image quality. Carefully wipe the microscope with soft and clean cotton cloth (such as an eyeglass cloth) moistened with alcohol.
3. Monitor on the main unit is not shockproof, please use it with care. Do not drop it, press it hard or touch it with sharp object. The monitor is not waterproof, please clean it with dry and soft cloth. Do not press the monitor when adjusting angle.
4. TOMLOV offers one year manufacture warranty and life-long technical support for digital microscope. Please feel free to get in touch with us if you need any help. Installation

Please make sure the following position A B C D are installed tightly to avoid shaking.

1. Position A
   It has been adjusted properly upon delivery. If not, please adjust it by the wrench.
   

2. Position B
   Step 1: Rotate the black ring clockwise one or two turns.
   Step 2: Screw the rod clockwise.
   Step 3: Screw the black ring clockwise to fix the bracket tightly.

3. Position C
   Insert the monitor and tighten the two little screws.

4. Position D
   Adjust the monitor up and down, then tighten this screw.
   

Quick Start

1. Connect the USB-C slot on the base and 5V output slot on the monitor by the USB cable to provide power for the side lights.| 2. Insert Micro SD card.| 3. Turn on the microscope.

Press OK Button twice to enter menu. Press and hold OK Button to turn off the microscope.
( The unit can’t be turned on by remote control)

Detailed Operation

1. Charge the Microscope Correctly
Connect the USB cable to the USB-C slot of the monitor and plug the the AC charger to get power.

Tips:
(1) There is one rechargeable battery inside the monitor.
(2) It takes 2-3 hours to charge the microscope. The power indicator is red during charging and is off after charged fully.
(3) Short press Power button, current battery level is displayed at the right corner of monitor.

2. Install Anti-reflective Hood
The anti-reflective hood is used to reduce the reflection of light.
Take off the lens protector, then screw the hood on the lens.

3. How to make LED lights work
There are main LED lights (around the camera) and 2 side LED lights ( on the base ),they are powered and controlled separately.

(1) How to adjust the brightness of the main LED lights
Press the Left button on the monitor or remote control during Photo/ Video mode to dim the brightness of the main LED light.

Press the Right button on the monitor or remote control during Photo/ Video mode to increase the brightness of the main LED light.

(2) How to make two side lights work
Step 1: Provide power for the two side lights.
Method 1: Connect the AC charger as the photo below to get power from wall charger.

Method 2: Connect the USB cable as the photo below to get power from the battery built-in the monitor.

Note : Because the two side lights also gets power to work from the battery, which consumes quickly for method 1,please charge the microscope fully before use.
Step 2: Turn on the microscope and roll the scroll wheel on the base to adjust 2 side LED lights.

4. Save Photos/Videos with Micro SD Card
You can save pictures and videos on a Micro SD card to review later.
Insert the Micro SD card into slot on back of the monitor.

5. Switch Different Mode
There are 3 modes with the microscope: Photo, Video and Playback.
Default setting is photo mode. Press Menu button for 3 seconds to circle the Photo, Video and Playback mode.

Photo, Video, File Mode: Press the MENU button for 3 seconds.

6. Capture Pictures
Long Press Menu button switch to photo mode.
Press OK button on the monitor or remote control to capture an image, The photo icon on the screen turns yellow when the image is captured.

7. Record Videos
Long Press Menu button switch to Video mode.
Press OK button on the monitor or remote control to record a video, Press OK button on the monitor or remote control again to stop recording, Duration of the recording time is displayed at the top right corner.

8. Photos/Videos Playback & Files Management
Photo/Video Playback
Press MENU button to playback mode.
Press Left and Right button to view photo.
press OK button to view video.

Files Management
Long press Menu button to Playback mode.
Press Menu button to files management.

Pictures/Videos can be deleted,protected.
Delete: Delete current/Delete all
Protect: Lock the current/Unlock current/Lock all/Unlock all
Press Up/Down button to choose.
Press OK button to confirm.
Preee M button to return.
Files locked can’t be deleted in the microscope.
(Please note the locked filed still can be deleted when deleting files in computer.)

9. How to Reset the Microscope
Use a ballpoint pen or similar to push the reset hold on the back of the microscope, keep pressing for 1-2 seconds to reset the device.

10. Connect to PC

1. Connect the microscope to the PC with the USB-C cable as the photo below.

2. Turn on the microscope and the screen shows Mass storage, PC Camera and REC_mode (Note: The REC_mode enables microscope to charge only).
   Press OK button to choose PC Camera to enter PC mode.

11. Work with Windows
Please make sure your PC installed “Windows Camera”. If not, get the software in Windows/Microsoft Store or search in on Google.

1. Connect the microscope with computer by the USB cable and turn on the microscope.
2. Press OK button to switch UVC mode.
3. Run “Windows Camera”, it shows the image as below,
   

12. Work with Mac/iMac
Please make sure your MacBook installed “Photo Booth”. If not, get the software from APP store.

1. Connect the microscope with computer by the USB cable and turn it on.
2. Run “Photo Booth”(Finder—Application—Photo Booth) and choose “USB PHY 2.0 (default)”on the menu bar.
   

Please note:

1. Left button/Right/Menu button on the monitor and remote control can’t work when the microscope connected with computer.
2. The photos/videos only can be saved in computer (can’t not be saved in the Micros SD card in the microscope) when connected with computer.

Menu Settings

1. Photo Setting
   Press Menu button for 3 seconds to enter photo mode, press Menu button once again to enter video setting as the photo below.
   Capture mode
   Set photo capture mode : Single shot / 2s delay/5s delay/10s delay 2s delay refers that the microscope takes photo 2 seconds later after pressing OK button.
   Resolution
   Set photo resolution : 1.3M/2M/3M/5M/8M/10M/12M
   Continuous shooting
   Turn on/off continuous shooting .
   Turn on this function ,the device take 3 photos continuously after pressing OK button.
   Turn off this function ,only 1 photo taken after pressing OK button.
   Quality
   Set photo quality : Fine/Normal/Economy.
   Sharpness
   Set photo sharpness : Strong/Normal/Soft.
   Color
   Set photo color : Normal / Black and white / Sepia
   Iso
   Set photo ISO : Auto /100/200/400
   Exposure
   Set photo exposure :+3/+2/+1/+0/-1/-2/-3.
   Anti-shaking
   Turn on/off anti-shaking function.
   Date Stamp
   Turn on/off date stamp

2. Video Setting
   Press Menu button for 3 seconds to enter video mode, press Menu button once again to enter video setting as the photo below. Resolution
   Set video resolution: 1O80FHD/720P/VGA.
   Cyclic Record
   Set video cycle recording : off/ 3 minutes/5 minutes/10 minutes.
   High Dynamic Range
   Turn on/off high dynamic range.
   Exposure
   Set video exposure: +3/+2/+1/+0/-1/-2/-3.
   Date Stamp
   Turn on/off date stamp.

3. System Setting
   Press Menu button for 3 seconds to enter video/photo mode, press Menu button twice to enter system setting as the photo below. Auxiliary to the line
   Set auxiliary line : off/centre/cross. Center refers to center of the monitor.
   Cross refers to the cross line.
   Fill light
   Set brightness of the main light : off/1/2/3/4/5.
   Screen light off
   Set screen light off :off/ 30 second /1 minute /2 minutes.
   Auto power off
   Set auto power off : off/3 minutes/10 minutes.
   Frequency
   Set Frequency : 50HZ/60HZ
   Language
   Set system language
   Chinese/Japanese/English/Korean/French/Germany/Italian/Dutch/ Portuguese/Spanish/Czech/Polish/Russian/Turkey/Hebrew/Thai
   Date/Time
   Set system date and time.
   Format
   Format memory card.
   Default Setting
   Restore the device to factory setting.
   Version
   Display current software version.

FAQ

Why I can't turn on the microscope properly?

Please make sure that the cable is connected correctly and that the product is powered on. If the product still cannot be turned on normally after confirming the correct operation, please reset the microscope.

Please check the mode status of the device .You can’t take photos by press OK button during video or playback mode. Please press OK button for 3 seconds to switch to photo mode to take photos.

Why I can't get clear pictures?

Make sure that the LED lights work properly. Adjust the light to illuminate the object, adjust the object distance by using the knob on the holder, and then rotate the focus controller. If you still cannot obtain a clear image, gently wipe the lens with a clean, dry cotton cloth or paper towel to ensure that the lens is clean.

Why does the microscope restart repeatedly?

Please check the power adapter and use a high-quality 5V 2A power adapter.

Why does

After inserting the Micro SD card, please format it first. Enter menu, then choose “SETTING”, find “FORMAT”, then choose “OK”and press the OK button to confirm the formatting. If it still can’t work ,please connect the microscope with computer and format the Micro SD card in computer.

How to reduce image reflection of light ?

Solution 1: Please try to turn low or turn off the white LED. Solution 2: Install anti-reflective hood. Solution 3: Adjust angle between the object and lens to avoid the reflection.

Why are the 2 side lights can’t work ?

The 2 side lights and the main LED light are controlled separately, Please refer to page 11 and charge the battery of side lights fully before use.
