You also have to stand on it a few seconds before the numbers appear. It initially should be set by standing on it until it starts to register the weight and, then, get off it and wait for it to display O. You can then weigh yourself.

STAND SIDEWAYS! Turn the scale so it is standing with the short side at the bottom and the long side up and down. You can much more easily fit your feet on the scale like that and the accuracy is great.
Love this scale but am having battery trouble. One needs to unscrew the compartment, and the screw just keeps rotating without ever loosening. Help?****
I don’t use the screw anymore after I replaced my battery.
How do you replace the battery?****
I never replaced the battery. Mine didn’t work long enough to burn out the battery. However, on the bottom there a little snap door held in with a screw. I bet the battery in in there. As I said, I had no reason to look.

No, but if you divide by 2.2 that’ll give you kilograms.

No. It doesn’t. It really is great as a travel scale to maintain you weight or weight loss while traveling. You shouldn’t be changing your body fat (BMI) so much on a vacation to need it measured on vacation. Buy a regular size scale if you’re looking for something to use each day.

How much does it weigh?****
It weighs a little less than 1 pound 6 ounces and I use it every day since it takes up so little real estate compared to a full size scale. Very easy to stick in luggage for a trip and seems to be very sturdy. Have had it for over a year or two and performs well.

No, the scale needs pressure in both sides. I weigh my suitcase by getting on the scale holding it, weight must be distributed evenly.
