How to Use the Kettle:

CAUTION: Burn Hazard. Do not overfill the kettle. Boiling water may spit out of the spout.

  1. Remove the kettle lid.
  2. Fill the kettle with the required amount of water.
  3. Place the kettle on the power base.
  4. Press the power button to turn on the kettle.
  5. Select the desired temperature using the control panel.
  6. Wait for the water to heat up and reach the boiling point.
  7. Once your kettle has reached the boiling temperature, the unit will beep and the illuminating blue light will turn off.
  8. Unplug the kettle from the power source.
  9. Open the lid carefully and pour the hot water as needed.

  9. Do not let children play with this product.
  10. Be careful when opening the lid for refilling when the kettle is hot.
  11. The kettle is for household use only. Do not use outdoors.
  12. Avoid contact with steam from the spout when the water is boiling or just after it has switched off. The heater may remain hot after the kettle is turned off.
  13. Be certain that the kettle lid is securely in place during operation and when pouring hot water. Do not use force when placing lid on the kettle.
  14. Use only the power base provided.
  15. The kettle can only be used to heat/boil water and is not suitable to heat up coffee, tea, alcohol, or any chemical.
  16. Do not leave the glass tea pot on the kettle empty.

Before Using Your Kettle:
If you are using the kettle for the first time, we recommend rinsing the kettle with water a few times to remove any dust or residue remaining from the manufacturing process.

How to Use the KETTLE

CAUTION Burn Hazard. Do not overfill Kettle. Boiling water may spit out of the spout.

  1. Remove the kettle lid.

  2. Fill the kettle with the required amount of water.
    CAUTION: The filled water level must be between the “MIN” and “MAX” levels as indicated on the housing. The heating element may get damaged below MIN level. Boiling water may be ejected from the unit if above MAX level.

  3. Press the lid until it clicks into place otherwise the unit won’t automatically shut off when water has come to a boil.

  4. Place the kettle on the power base and connect it to the power supply. Position the kettle so that the spout of the kettle is facing away from you.

  5. Begin the heating process by pressing the Power Switch. At this point, water will begin to heat up and the blue illuminating light will turn on. DO NOT open the lid while the water is boiling.

  6. Once your kettle has reached the boiling temperature, the unit will beep and the illuminating blue light will turn off.

  7. The power will shut off automatically once water is boiled.

  8. If KEEP WARM function is desired, press the KEEP WARM button at any time and the kettle will keep water at the desired temperature for 2 hours.

  9. Lift the kettle off the base to pour water. All lights will turn off while the kettle is off the base.

Brewing Tea

  1. Push down the knob on the tea pot to open the lid.
  2. Add tea or coffee powder into the filter of the teapot (Or discard the tea and coffee on filter. CAUTION: The filled water level must be between the “Max” and “Min” level as indicated on the wall of the teapot or else the water may be ejected and cause injury.
  3. Fit the tea filter back into the teapot jug.
  4. Fill the teapot with boiling water.
  5. Close the lid on the tea pot.
  6. Open the kettle lid and place the tea pot on the kettle.

WARNING : Always operate the unit carefully when in use or pouring water as boiling water may cause scalding. Do not place the kettle in the power base when not in use.

Power Switch

  1. Press Power Switch ①. The digital display shows default temperature of 212°F. When pressed, water begins boiling until it reaches 212°F. Once temperature reaches 212°F, the unit makes a long “click” sound and the digital display shows ”- – -”.
  2. During the process of boiling water if Power Switch ① is pressed, the unit will go back to standby mode and the digital display shows ”- – -”.

Changing Preset Temperatures

  1. Press the ③ adjustable switch +/- to set the temperature to your desired temperature.
  2. Once you set your desired temperature, the digital display flashes 5 times and gets into the heating mode.
  3. The unit turns off automatically when it heats up to the selected temperature.

NOTE : For KEEP WARM mode, the temperature can be adjusted from 122°Fto 194°F, adjusting +/-9°F with each press.

KEEP WARM Mode

  1. Press ② (KEEP WARM switch).

  2. Press ③ (adjustable switch +/-) until your reach your desired temperature.
    NOTE : For KEEP WARM mode, the temperature range is from 122°F to 194°F adjusting+/-9°F with each press.

  3. Once the desired temperature is reached, wait until the digital indicator flashes 5 times. At this point, the unit will start heating up to the selected temperature and the illuminating blue light will turn on.
    Note : If KEEP WARM switch is pressed only, the kettle will quit the KEEP WARM status after 10 seconds, and it gets into the standby status and digital display would show “- – -”.

  4. When water reaches the desired temperature, the heating process will stop and a long “di” sound will go off showing the current temperature.

  5. The unit will then go into the “KEEP WARM” mode for 2 hours.
    NOTE : If the temperature drops by 9°F during the 2-hours KEEP WARM mode, the unit will automatically start heating up to the selected temperature.

  6. After 2 hours, the unit gets into the standby status, and the digital display shows “- – -”.

  7. During KEEP WARM mode, if you press ①(power switch), the kettle will quit the KEEP WARM status and gets into the standby mode.

NOTE : The unit has a 20-second power-off memory.

Standby State
When the kettle is switched on, the digital screen start to display 888 with “click” sound, then the digital display shows three lines ”- – -” on LED screen.

Protective Functions

  1. When the sensor of the heating pan becomes short-circuited, the display will show E1, with two “beep” warning.
  2. When the heat is exceeding because of dry-boiling, the display will show E3, with two “beep” warning.

Cleaning and Care

  1. Unplug the kettle and allow it to cool before cleaning.
  2. Never immerse the kettle or power base in water or any other liquids for cleaning. Never wash it under running water.
  3. In order to maintain the polish of the outer surface, do not use abrasive cleaner to wipe the glass body and the stainless steel parts.

ATTENTION

  1. Unplug and discard water when not in use.
  2. Please keep 15~20 second intervals before restarting boiling to maximize the life of your unit.
  3. If the kettle ever boils dry, wait for 15 minutes for the unit to cool down before refilling with cold water. The safety cut-off will automatically reset during this time.
  4. Do not open the lid when in operation. Steam escaping from the spout is hot.
  5. A minimum of 0.75L of water must be used to prevent overheating.
