MYVALLOX CONTROL PANEL

We recommend always using the latest software version. To update the software, you need a computer with an internet connection and a USB Micro-B cable.

NOTE

• It is only possible to update from an older version to a newer one. MyVallox
• Control automatically rejects older software versions. A higher version number indicates a newer software version

Checking the software version: The software version of the ventilation unit is always shown on the control panel display when the device starts up. You can also check the software version by checking the unit information. Navigate the menu Service menu > Unit information > Software version.

• The ventilation unit is transferring the update to the control panel. During the transfer, a new software version must not be installed on the control panel via a USB connector.
• The control panel is transferring the update to the ventilation unit.

Updating the software

1. Download the latest software update file from the Vallox website, the Software update section, or from the MyVallox Cloud service home page, cloud.vallox.com.

2. The name of the downloaded update file is HSWUPD.BIN Do not change the file name. Please note that the file name may change if you have already downloaded the updated file before. In this case, you can delete the previous version and rename the file HSWUPD.BIN.

3. Connect a computer to the MyVallox Control panel with a USB MicroB cable. The USB sign appears on the control panel display (you cannot use the control panel while it is connected to a computer).
   TIP: If no USB sign is displayed on the control panel and the computer cannot find the control panel, you are probably using a USB MicroB cable intended for downloading. Change the cable.

4. On a computer, the control panel is shown under resource management as a removable disk.

5. Transfer the downloaded software update package HSWUPD.BIN to the control panel (the disk shown on the computer). When the download is complete, choose safe removal of the USB drive.

6. Disconnect the cable between the MyVallox control panel and the computer.

7. The control panel processes the update for a short while and the text Update in process appears on the display. The control panel will then start again, and the transfer of the update package into the ventilation unit will begin. This may take around 4-5 hours. It is not recommended to switch off the ventilation unit during the transfer of the update package. During the update , (the update icon) is shown at the top of the control panel display.
   TIP: If a red error display appears on the control panel asking the user to download the update package again, start the update again from step 3.

8. The update is complete when the ventilation unit restarts itself and the software version of the MyVallox control panel has been updated to the new version.

MYVALLOX TOUCH CONTROL PANEL
We recommend always using the latest software version. To install a new software version, you need a computer with an internet connection, a MicroSD card and possibly an adapter.

Requirements for the MicroSD card:

• Format FAT32 (exFAT does not work)
• Max. size 32GB
• No minimum size

NOTE: It is only possible to update from an older version to a newer one. MyVallox Touch automatically rejects older software versions. A higher version number indicates a newer software version

• Transfer the updated file HSWUPD.BIN that you have downloaded onto a MicroSD card.

• Unplug the ventilation unit from the mains or turn off the fuse.

• Dismount the control panel from the outlet box and remove the grey mounting frame from the control panel. Insert the MicroSD card into the control panel.
  IMPORTANT
  Caution is required when dismounting and mounting the control panel from and onto the outlet box to prevent the control panel power cords from being damaged or coming loose

• Plug the unit in or switch the fuse back on.

• The control panel downloads the new software version from the MicroSD card to the control panel. You can follow the progress of the update on the display; this takes about one minute.

• When the download is complete, you can remove the MicroSD card and mount the control panel back onto the outlet box. Do not disconnect the electric connector of the control panel.

• The control panel transfers the new software from the control panel to the motherboard of the ventilation unit. This may take several hours. The unit works normally but it is not recommended to use the control panel. The MyVallox Touch control panel does not display the icon during the transfer of the update.
  NOTE
  After the update of the MyVallox Touch control panel, the software version is immediately updated. The MyVallox Touch control panel always displays the software version existing on the control panel, so it may still be transferring the update to the ventilation unit.

• Once the update process is complete, the unit will restart
