switch, toggle or encoder.

Stream Deck Installation in Racedeck and Racedeck XL

  1. Remove front carbon fiber plate (6ea m3 bolts with a 2mm allen key/hex tool). Be careful to not strip bolts.
    – For 1 5 button stream deck, one side of enclosure is for mk1 stream deck while the other side is for mk2. You may need to pull the rear carbon fiber plate and flip the enclosure over for a proper fit.

  2. Place stream deck in the enclosure.

  3. Connect stream deck USB Type A cable to USB Type A connector on the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) inside the enclosure.

  4. Replace front carbon fiber plate.

Trouble Shooting

My Button Box isn’t showing up in Windows.

Solution – Restart PC

  • If using a USB hub or USB extension , bypass and plug directly into PC.
  • Try a different USB Port on PC.
  • Try a different USB Cable. Advanced Users – Check in Device Manager to see if it’s being recognized by Windows. Device should show up as
ApexSimRacing_(Name of button box). Locate device, uninstall it and restart PC.

My Button Box doesn’t show all of the inputs working in Windows game pad tester.

-Some of our button boxes have over 32 inputs and Windows game pad tester only can see a maximum of 32 inputs
Solution – Use a different input tester or test in sim .

I’m having weird presses/ghost presses with buttons, switches or toggles.
If using a USB hub or USB extension cable, bypass it and plug directly into PC to see if that solves the issues.
Check for sources of EMI (typically DD wheel bases) . To test, turn off wheel base to see if you are still experiencing issues with ghost presses.
