Why won’t it record?

Ton ton 1080p outdoor camera system. There are 2 wires coming of the power cord, one ispower but what is the other one for?

The other one is for reset the camera , it is a reset button. Please know about it.

The alerts does not make a sound?

Please turn on the alert and increse the volume of the NVR(click alarm setup > volume setup).

What software does this use, can you view 2 or all cameras live at the same time?

It used the software named “iSmKit” . And yes, you can view 2 cameras or up to 4 cameras live at the same time if you add two more cameras on the kit. If you want to purchase add on IP camera,

I hate to sound stupid but if you have to plug the camera into electric socket, whats to stop intruders from unplugging it?

Actually that was a very good question you are correct in asking I myself had mine professionally hardwired raised up eight feet you never want to have your cameras too high because then a criminal can wear a hat and never look up and you’ll never see their face I suggest to keep them about 7 to 8 ft or some type of one or two inch PVC piping to shroud or cover your wires , that was a very good question I’m proud that you asked it .

Can this system work on 3g network ?

Short power cords for the cameras very short 6 feet long signal goes in an out of you mounting the cameras out far from WiFi modem 60 feet max

when you say up to 200% longer distance, what do you mean. how many feet is the distance?

This wireless camera system has a better wireless transmission signal than other wireless camera systems, general speaking, the distance should be within 300 Ft, if they are install in open area, the distance should be within 1000 Ft, please know about it, thanks

Does the monitor have mounting capabilities like vesa?

Yes it does.

But a new camera for add-on and it will not show up on the 7 inch touchscreen monitor. It matches code but no video comes up on the screen?

Not sure why it’s not coming up on the monitor. I don’t use the monitor very often bc I use the app on my android phone, iSmkit. I would check to see if it is showing up through the app and check the setup and settings for that cam thru the app there are alot of them could be something in the settings or setup process and the monitor is great but the interface on the app was more logical to me. Try the app and generate a QR code thru there instead. I have used a couple different brands and types of cams with these in that setting. Sorry I can’t answer better or know the monitor interface as well. TonTon has helpful and responsive customer service if you can’t figure out the bug.

I see stated is 100 feet night vision. How far is day vision? Now if I have an additional light on all night, the distance would be greater than 100′?

 The camera’s built-in infrared light is limited to 100 feet. The best distance for the image during the day is 33-82 feet, and it can be seen further away, that is, the image will be smaller, and the additional fill light at night is the same, and it can be seen in well-lit areas, but the image is smaller.

When you buy the 17.5-in monitor do you get the cameras in that price?

Can you view just 2 screens on the monitor instead of 2 screens and 2 blue blocks?

What is the sd card slot with in the camera used for?

You can also use the camera as standalone kit, and insert SD inside card slot, in this way, the video record will keep in this SD card
