What should I do if my G+ series RoboVac does not return to the auto-empty station?
In order to ensure your RoboVac is able to successfully return to its auto- empty station, please make sure the RoboVac starts from the auto-empty station. Otherwise, if the cleaning area is too large, RoboVac may not be able to receive the signal from the auto-empty station during the cleaning process.

If your RoboVac failed to return to the auto-empty station, please refer to the following steps to troubleshoot:

  • Confirm the LED indicator light on the auto-empty station displays a solid white light when the auto-empty station is plugged in.

  • Place the auto-empty station at a proper location: It is highly recommended to put the autoempty station on a hard and flat surface. Please make sure there are no obstacles within 0.5m/1.6ft to the right and left side and 1m/3.3ft from the front of the auto-empty station.
Additionally, please try not to place the auto-empty station in a corner. If the house is large, it is also recommended to move the auto-empty station to the central part of the house.

  • Before running your RoboVac on a hard and flat surface for the first time, please install the supplied protective pad under the auto-empty station. Please make sure to peel off the removable tape from the waterproof pad and affix it to the floor.

  • To ensure the RoboVac is able to successfully return to the auto-empty station that is placed on carpets, please confirm the carpets are flat and remove the waterproof pad under the auto-empty station. If the RoboVac is unable to return to the auto-empty station on carpets, then add the waterproof pad and try again. Please make sure to peel off the tape from the pad so that it can be affixed to the carpet.

  • If the RoboVac stops with errors and voice alerts: Please refer to Voice Alerts & Quick Solutions for Dynamic Navigation Series (G series).

  • Eliminate environmental factors: Please make sure there are no dark-colored carpets/thick carpets with tassels or wool/carpets in the entire room/ direct sunlight that could affect the RoboVac during its cleaning cycle.

General troubleshooting when RoboVacs do not connect to WiFi

  • Download and install the eufy Clean app on your phone.
  • Ensure that the Location Services on your phone are turned on.
  • Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4Ghz WiFi and you know the WiFi password. eufy RoboVacs doesn’t support 5Ghz wifi yet.

Below shows the guidance:

  1. Tap “Add Device” -> “Robotic Vacuums” and select the model of eufy Clean G40+/G40 Hybrid+ (here we take the G40 Hybrid+ as an example)eufy G40 Plus Robotic Vacuum Cleaners 2
  2. Type the WiFi password in. Note that the case is sensitive, you can tap the “eye icon” to show the password and double confirm that the correct password is typed in. Confirm that the WiFi indicator light is flashing slowly, then you can tap “status confirmed” and go to Next. If the WiFi light is not flashing slowly, please press and hold the “start” button on RoboVac for 10 seconds to reset the Wi-Fi connection and try again. You will hear a voice prompt when the settings have been reset and the WiFi status light will slowly flash blue.eufy G40 Plus Robotic Vacuum Cleaners 16
  3. On the eufy Clean app, tap “Go to Wi-Fi Settings” and Connect your phone to RoboVac’s WiFi “RoboVac G40 Hybrid+”.eufy G40 Plus Robotic Vacuum Cleaners 3

How to Troubleshoot If RoboVac Stops Collecting Dust

The RoboVac G40+ / G40 Hybrid+ have been certified by TUV AllergyCare™ for allergy care and can seal 99.9% of particles under 0.3μm. This provides allergy-free and worry-free home use.

  • Note :In accordance with international standard IEC62885.

If your RoboVac stops collecting dust, you can check for the below phenomenon:

  1. The LED on the auto-empty station flashes white rapidly.
  2. The auto-empty station does not collect dust, or does not emit any sound.
  3. App indicates the error of the RoboVac having stopped collecting dust.
The reason may be that the dust bag is not installed properly. Lift open the top cover to reinstall the dust bag.

Check whether it works normally by letting it run for more than 15 minutes and then returning to the auto-empty station.

What should I do if  my RoboVac G+ series gets stuck under furnitureor on carpets?
Firstly, the height of RoboVac G+ series is 72.5 mm/2.85 in. If the clearance under your furniture is slightly higher than the RoboVac’s height, there is a slim chance of the RoboVac getting stuck.
Secondly, RoboVac G+ series can work on low to medium pile carpets with a maximum height of 1.02in/26mm. If RoboVac is required to navigate across the carpet on the floor, the carpet must be less than 0.67in/17mm. Here are some situations where it may get stuck on your carpets.

  1. Carpets exceed the maximum height (1.02in/26mm).
  2. Carpets with tassels. The brushes, etc may get tangled on it.
  3. Certain dark or black surfaces. The Infrared ray of anti-fall sensors may be absorbed by a certain dark or black colored surface and recognize such areas as an edge or a stair. When RoboVac encounters this surface, it may run away from this surface.

What should I do in the above situations?
The G40 Hybrid+ supports boundary strips. Please place boundary strips around your carpet.
The magnetic sensors on the RoboVac will recognize boundary strips, and the RoboVac will not cross over the strips to clean your carpet. Below are recommended steps:

  1. Measure the length of the strip you might need.
  2. Cut the boundary strip vertically.eufy G40 Plus Robotic Vacuum Cleaners 7
  3. Stick the 3M adhesive tape on the boundary strip.
  4. Apply the strip on the hard and flat floor. The side with the “eufy” logo should face upward.

As for G40+ that does not support boundary strips, if possible, please use physical objects to block off the carpet to prevent the RoboVac from climbing on the carpet, or remove the carpet while the RoboVac is running its cleaning cycle.

What should I do if my RoboVac G+ series cleans the same area repeatedly or misses some area?
eufy RoboVac G+ series models use Gyro plus Path tracking sensor technology to determine the cleaning route by following a Z-shaped path. With the Gyroscope and Accelerometer smart sensors, RoboVac knows the direction and distance of its cleaning path. When the entire floor is cleaned, it will begin cleaning the edges and corners by following the edge of the walls. After the entire cleaning cycle is completed, RoboVac will automatically return to the self- emptying station.

Here are some common scenarios that may affect the cleaning route of the RoboVac, causing it to miss a certain area or clean the same area repeatedly:

  1. Thick carpets with tassels or wool, or carpets throughout the room.
The G+ series models are designed to work on hard floors and medium-pile carpets with a total thickness that does not exceed 26 mm /1.02 inches. The RoboVac may get stuck when it cleans on thick carpets with tassels or carpets with a total thickness that exceeds 26 mm /1.02 inches.

  2. RoboVac gets stuck in certain places, such as underneath the furniture, chairs, etc.

  3. RoboVac is manually moved during its cleaning process.
RoboVac’s internal cleaning algorithms will be affected if it is manually moved during its cleaning cycle, which leads to a deviation in creating its cleaning map that results in inaccurate cleaning patterns.

  4. Path tracking sensor is dirty.eufy G40 Plus Robotic Vacuum Cleaners 11

  5. An extremely dark colored floor/carpet.
RoboVac detects using IR (Infrared Ray) sensors and carpets/floors that are extremely dark will absorb the IR signal, which leads to the RoboVac failing to detect its surrounding environment.
This is a common phenomenon of all the RoboVac models designed using IR sensors that are currently on the market.

  6. Cleans under direct sunlight.
RoboVac’s sensors (drop sensors on the bottom and front sensors on the bumper) work with the sensors on the RoboVac. When RoboVac encounters sunlight, it would detect the sunlight as a stair and either backs away or triggers voice alerts.eufy G40 Plus Robotic Vacuum Cleaners 13

  7. Large house.
G+ series models are suitable for houses below 170 square meters (about 1830 square feet), and the farthest zig-zag cleaning length in each cleaning direction is 17.5m, and the RoboVac may miss certain areas if the house is larger than the farthest distance the RoboVac can clean in each direction.

eufy G40 Plus Robotic Vacuum Cleaners 14

If you are encountering these scenarios, please refer to the following solutions to resolve the issue:

  1. Thick carpets, extremely dark colored floors/carpets, or RoboVac gets stuck in certain places
The G40 Hybrid+ model supports using boundary strips. Please place boundary strips around your carpets/places where the RoboVac usually gets stuck so it will not enter that specific area and affect its cleaning route. As for the G40+ model which does not support using boundary strips, if possible, please use physical objects to block off the area to prevent the RoboVac from entering it.

  2. Dirty Path tracking sensor
Gently wipe the optical flow sensor on the bottom of the RoboVac with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol to clean the sensor.

  3. Under direct sunlight
If the environment house is sunny during the day and the environment affects the normal operation of the RoboVac, it is highly recommended to run it at a different time of the day or when the window blinds are closed. Alternatively, if you do not have any potential drop spots where the RoboVac may fall down in your home, you can disable the drop sensors by covering
them with light-colored opaque pieces of paper or tape.eufy G40 Plus Robotic

  4. Large house
It is recommended to order additional self-emptying stations or charging stations if you have a large house. When the RoboVac begins its cleaning cycle, it can cover more areas due to different self-emptying station or charging station locations. Please do not manually move the RoboVac during its cleaning process.
