PRODUCT USAGE
To properly use and maintain your Ozeri Digital Kitchen Scale, please read these instructions and keep them handy for future reference.

Operation
- Step 1: Place the scale on a hard, flat surface.
- Step 2: Press the “ON/OFF/TARE” key and the scale will turn on.
- Step 3: Place an item on the center of the scale. The weight will appear.

Tare (Auto-Zero)
The tare feature allows you to automatically return the scale to zero, enabling you to subtract the weight of a plate/bowl or weigh multiple items simultaneously.- Step 1: Leave the food item or plate/bowl on the scale (Note: The scale must register a weight for this to work)
- Step 2: Press the ON/OFF/TARE key to reset the weight to “O”
- Step 3: Add the next ingredient/item to the scale and weigh

Turning Off
To power off, first remove any objects from the scale so that the LCD screen shows “O” as the weight. Then press the “ON/OFF/TARE” buttonto turn off.

- The Ozeri Digital Kitchen Scale runs on 2 AAA batteries (included).
- The battery compartment is located underneath the scale.
Note: If the “LO” message appears on the LCD screen, the batteries are low on charge and require changing.
WARNINGS AND MAINTENANCE
- To clean the scale, use a damp cloth. Do not soak or submerge the scale in water or any liquids. This scale is not waterproof. Don’t expose the scale to moisture. This will cause damage to the scale and void the warranty.
- Always ensure the scale is stored and operated at room temperature and on a stable flat surface.
- Gently place all items on the scale’s weighing platform. Never drop an item on the scale. Never leave an object on the scale’s weighing platform for an extended period of time.
- Avoid placing the scale near cell phones or other devices that can cause electromagnetic interference. This can cause the scale to malfunction.
- Store the scale in a clean dry location. Dust, dirt and moisture from humidity can accumulate on the weighing sensors and electronics, causing inaccuracy or malfunction.
- Remove the batteries if the scale will not be used for an extended period of time.
- This scale is intended for indoor use only. Do not operate or store the scale in extreme temperatures.
- This product is not a toy and should be kept away from children.
- Do not attempt to operate this scale if it is dropped or damaged in any manner.
- Do not attempt to disassemble this scale. Doing so will void the warranty.
- This product is battery operated. Improper use of this product may causethe batteries to leak or explode, which may cause personal injury. If contact is made with a leaking battery, immediately flush the affected area with running water and contact your local poison control center or seek medical attention.
