Product Usage Instructions
Mounting the Headlight
The Q-Optics RadiantTM Cordless Headlight can be easily mounted to most brands or styles of loupes and safety glasses using the quick-disconnect mount. Follow these steps:
- Remove the Q-Optics nameplate by pressing it upwards and off to reveal mounting screws.
- Align the headlight mount channel opening to the mounting screws on the loupes and slide the headlight on until fully seated.
- Position the anti-curing filter to the front of the headlight and push it onto the light.
Using an Adapter for Non-Q-Optics Loupes
If you have purchased a Q-Optics headlight for use with another
manufacturer’s loupes, you will need to attach the included adapter prior to
mounting your headlight.
Getting Started
The Q-Optics RadiantTM Cordless Headlight features an easy-to-use capacitive
On/Off control integrated with the battery. Follow these steps to get started:
- Assemble the RadiantTM Cordless Headlight by sliding the battery onto the battery tray from back to front until it clicks securely into place.
- Connect the power supply USB cable to the headlight.
Headlight Operation
The Q-Optics RadiantTM Cordless Headlight is powered on and off using the
capacitive touch control located on the headlight. Follow these instructions:
- Power on the headlight by touching the Q-Optics logo area. A single touch will turn the unit on or off.
- The battery pack serves as both the power source and control for the headlight.
- The battery status LED indicates the battery level.
Approximate Run-Time
The Radiant Cordless Headlight should achieve approximately 2 hours of run
time per battery when new. The battery charge time from empty to full is
approximately 1.5 hours.
Using the Cordless Headlight
- Adjusting Headlight Side-to-Side: The headlight can be rotated from right to left using the baseplate mount attached to your loupe frame.
- Adjusting Headlight Up and Down: The headlight can be tilted vertically upward and downward using the screw hinge where the battery tray meets the headlight.

WARNING: Headlight can become warm during use. Touch with caution.

loupes, you will first need to attach the included adapter before mounting
your headlight.

Assembly
Assembling the RadiantTM Cordless Headlight is quick and easy. For use, simply
slide the battery onto the battery tray, from back to front, until it clicks
into place securely
SYSTEM ASSEMBLY
Headlight Operation
Once mounted on your loupes, operating the headlight system is simple and
easy to use; power the light on and off with a simple touch of the Q-Optics
logo area.
WARNINGS
- Do not disassemble battery pack
- Do not dispose of the battery pack in the fire
- Do not heat the battery pack above 60° Celsius (140° Fahrenheit)
Suggestions: Anti-curing – Use the included anti-curing filter toprevent fast curing of composite material.
USING THE CORDLESS HEADLIGHT
Adjusting Headlight Side-to-Side
The headlight will rotate from right to left from the baseplate mount
directly attached to your loupe frame.
Adjusting the Headlight Up and Down
The headlight will tilt vertically upward and downward from the screw hinge
where the battery tray meets the headlight
Low Battery Warning
If the headlight is powered on, it will alternate between bright and dim for
about 1 second, five times, to indicate a low battery (indicating about 15-25
minutes of usage remaining). When the battery is too low to run the headlight,
the LED indicator will flash RED while it is installed on the battery tray. (A
completely dead battery cannot flash the red light.)
NOTE:
If the headlight does not turn on with a known good, fully charged, battery –
remove and re-seat the battery to ensure a proper connection is made.
USING THE CORDLESS HEADLIGHT
- Plug the power supply USB-C cable into the port at the bottom of the battery pack. Insert the USB end into the wall adapter power supply
- Plug the power supply into an electrical outlet
- The battery LED will be RED to indicate battery is charging.
When the battery LED turns GREEN battery is fully charged.
Battery Storage: If stored OFF the tray, the battery will last significantly longer than if stored ON the tray.
NOTE: The light will not run when the USB cable is plugged into a power source.
The Q-Optics RadiantTM Cordless Headlight is a fine optical instrument and should be treated with care.
- Do not submerge or rinse the headlight in water or any type of sterilization fluid. The headlight is not waterproof and should not be washed or submerged in water.
- Basic cleaning may be done with a clean dry microfiber cloth or by spraying the cloth lightly with Q-Optics optical lens cleaner. Use light pressure with a circular motion to clean or dry the headlight lens.
DO NOT SPRAY LIGHT DIRECTLY
- It is OK to disinfect the headlight using moist Cavi-Wipes, not dripping with a solution..
- Do not use solvents or cleaning solutions other than those listed above on the headlight or battery pack.
warning: Do not spray cleaning or disinfecting solutions into open electrical areas on the battery pack. Damage may occur.
Disposal Instructions
- Do not throw the headlight, battery pack, or charger in the trash
- Contact your local authorities for disposal or return to Q-Optics for free disposal

NOTES: Lithium Ion batteries are considered an expendable part and are not considered defective by simply exhibiting diminished capacity. They have an estimated life of approximately 1 year, in which they will beat 60-80% capacity and will begin to lose additional capacity more rapidly thereafter.
WARRANTY
- Q-Optics / Quality Aspirators (the “Company”) guarantees that the Product will be free from defects in material, construction, and design from the time of first purchase.
- The Company extends this limited lifetime warranty to the original purchaser of the Product as identified in the Company’s records. This warranty will extend to any subsequent users or purchases of the Product but will last for the remainder of the warranty period from the original date of purchase.
- Defective units will be repaired or replaced by Quality
- Aspirators or their authorized representative. Quality Aspirators has the sole and final decision in determining if a unit is defective or whether the unit will be repaired or replaced with similar equipment. Products that is repaired or replaced by Quality Aspirators do not receive an extended warranty.
