Removing Rear Seat and Factory Rear Fender

To install the fender eliminator kit, follow these steps:

1. Remove the rear seat.
2. Remove the storage tray by removing the 2 rivets.
3. Remove the center upper cover by removing the 2 bolts.
4. Remove the main seat by removing the 2 bolts.
5. Unbolt the factory rear fender by removing the 6 bolts and 4 screws to drop the lower half and 4 nuts on top for the upper half. You no longer need these nuts.

Disconnecting Connectors
Unplug the left and right turn signal connectors as well as the license plate light connector. The turn signal connectors are wrapped in clear rubber close to the battery.

Removing the Factory Fender
Pull out the factory fender along with the turn signal and license plate light wires.

Mounting the Cover Plate
Mount the cover plate to the bike’s under-tail using 2 M6x16mm nuts, M6 washers, and M6 lock nuts at the 2 forward holes.

Attaching the License Plate Light:
Attach the LED license plate light to the plate holder by feeding the wires one at a time through the center hole and securing them using the 2 nuts. Make sure the LEDs are facing down towards the license plate.

Mounting the License Plate
Mount the license plate to the plate holder using 4 M6x14mm bolts, M6 large OD washers, and M6 lock nuts from this kit.

Attaching the License Plate Holder to the Cover Plate
While feeding the license plate light through the wire feed hole on the cover plate, mount the license plate holder to the cover plate on the bike’s under- tail using the remaining 2 M6x16mm bolts, M6 washers, and M6 nuts from this kit.

Connecting the Adapter Harness
From the top, attach the adapter harness to the LED license plate light. Connect the White or Blue>White wire to White wire and Black to Black wire. Plug it back into the bike, which was removed in step 2.

Final Check
Before going on a road test, check all lighting to ensure proper functionality.

1. Remove rear seat. Remove storage tray (2 rivets). Remove center upper cover (2 bolts). Remove main seat (2 bolts). Unbolt the factory rear fender (6 bolts and 4 screws to drop the lower half and 4 nuts on top for the upper half). You no longer need these nuts
2. Unplug left and right turn signal connectors as well as license plate light connector (Turn signal connectors wrapped in clear rubber close to battery)
3. Pull out the fender along with the turn signal and license plate light wires.
4. Mount the cover plate to the bike’s under-tail using 2 M6x16mm nuts, M6 washers and M6 lock nuts at the 2 forward holes.
5. Attach the LED license plate light to plate holder by feeding the wires 1 at a time through the center hole and securing using the 2 nuts. Make sure the LED are facing down towards the license plate.
6. Mount license plate to plate holder using 4 M6x14mm bolts, M6 large OD washers, and M6 lock nuts from this kit.
7. While feeding the license plate light through the wire feed hole on the cover plate, mount license plate holder to the cover plate to the bike’s under-tail using the remaining 2 M6x16mm bolts, M6 washers and M6 nuts from this kit. See illustration.
8. From the top, attach adapter harness to LED plate light (White or Blue>White wire and Black>Black wire) and plug it back into bike removed from step Check all lighting before going on a road test
