BEFORE PUTTING INTO USE

  • Before connecting the appliance to the power supply, please let the ice maker machine stand upright for 24 hours, which reduce the possibility of the cooling system malfunctioning due to improper handling during transportation.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

  1.   2. Do not place hands or objects on or near the ice maker’s evaporator when it is in operation.
  3. Do not operate the appliance if the cord is damaged. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer in order to avoid a hazard.
  4. Connect the ice maker to proper outlets only. There should be no other appliance plugged into the same outlet. Be sure that the plug is fully inserted into the receptacle.
  5. Do not run the cord over carpeting or other heat insulators. Do not cover the cord. Keep the cord away from traffic areas and do not submerge in water.
  6. Unplug the ice maker before cleaning or making repairs.
  7. Exercise caution and use reasonable supervision when appliance is used near children.
  8. Do not clean your ice maker with flammable fluids. The fumes can create a fire hazard or explosion.
  9. Do not tip over.
  10. If the ice maker is brought indoors from outdoors during the winter time, give it a few hours to warm up to room temperature before plugging it in.
  11. Fill with portable water directly or tap water with purification system.
  12. Do not store explosive substances, such as aerosol cans with a flammable propellant, in this appliance.
  13. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications, such as: Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices, and other working environments; Farm houses and by clients in hotels, motels, and other residential type environments; Bed and breakfast type environments; Catering and similar non-retail applications.
  14. Before using this product, place the machine on a platform.
  15. Please keep the ice maker stewing 24 hours after receiving the machine.
  16. Please make sure that the rear drain is firmly plugged before adding water to the water tank.
  17. The ice cube will be relatively small at first, but this is not a defect.
  18. Do not use near hot objects or in dirty air.
  19. Do not immerse the machine in water or use it in places where the machine may be splashed in water or in the bathroom.
  20. Do not dismantle or modify the machine.
  21. Stop using the machine immediately when an exception or failure occurs.
  22. Do not touch the ice making section of this product, and do not open the lid when in use.
  23. Please pull out the plug by holding the front insulation part of the plug, do not pull the wire.
  24. Please periodically clean the dust off the power head.
  25. Do not plug the power plug when your hands are wet.
  26. Disconnect the power supply and drain out the remaining water from the rear drain when the ice machine has not been used for a while.
  27. The ice cubes of the first cycle may have an odor due to water quality. This is not a defect. After several times, the smell will disappear. We suggest you use an ice maker cleaning agent or citric acid to clean it before you use. Please do not use the ice cubes with an odor to avoid physical discomfort or other diseases.
  28. Do not damage the cooling circuit (the piping).
  29. Do not damage the power cord and the power plug.
  30. Do not use damaged power plugs or loose sockets.
  31. Please don’t repair or fix the broken power cord by oneself. Please
    contact the after-sales service when the power cord is damaged.

    Pour potable water into water bin directly.

  2. Max Line : Outside the water tank is a line marking labeled “MAX”. Do not fill the water tank above this line.

  3. Transparent Window : Allows you to check how much ice has been produced without having to open the top and letting warm air in.

  4. Indicator Lights : ON/OFF, TAKE ICE, ADD WATRER, ICE FULL.

  5. Air Vents : Located on the back and sides of the unit, these vents help prevent the unit from overhearing. Please leave at least six inches of space all around the unit for proper ventilation.

  6. Water Drain : Allow you to empty the water from the tank easily

UNPACKING YOUR ICE MAKER

  1. Remove the exterior and interior packaging. Check if the ice bin and water filter are inside. If any part or accessory is missing, please contact our customer service.
  2. Keep the machine upright for 24 hours before the first use.
  3. Find a location for your ice maker that is protected from direct sunlight and other sources of heat (i.e.:stove, furnace, radiator). Place the ice maker on a level surface. Maker sure that there is at least 5 inches of space between the back and sides of your ice maker and the wall.
  4. The appliance must be positioned so that the plug is accessible

  1. This unit should be properly grounded for your safety. The power cord of this appliance is equipped with a three-prong plug which connects with standard three prong wall outlets to minimize the possibility of electric shock.
  2. Plug your appliance into an exlusive, properly installed, grounded wall outlet. Do not under any circumstances, cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord. Any questions concerning power and/or grounding should be directed toward a certified electrician.
  3. This appliance requires a standard 115 volt, 60Hz electrical outlet with three-prong ground.

Before using your ice maker, it is strongly recommended to clean it thoroughly

The ice maker is not designed to be installed in an outside area such as a garage or a porch. Ambient temperatures of below 50 F or above 100.4 F will hinder the performance of the appliance.

CONTROL PANEL AND INDICATOR LIGHTS

  • 1.Standby Mode: When the ice maker is powered on, both LEDs light up and you will hear a beep sound. The ON/OFF button lights up in red and the ice outlet button lights up in blue, and the machine is in standby mode at this time.

  • ON/OFF button: Press the button once in standby mode to turn on the ice making
    process. Once turned on, the blue LED ring will light up and the unit will start making ice. To stop ice making, press the power button again, the red LED ring will illuminate and the ice maker will return to standby mode.

  • 3.Cleaning: In standby mode, press and hold the ON/OFF button for more than 3 seconds, and the machine will start and enter the cleaning mode (the ON/OFF indicator blinks in red and blue light alternately), after the cleaning is over, the machine enters the shutdown standby mode. If you want to stop the cleaning mode in the middle, please press and hold the ON/OFF button again for 3 seconds, and the machine will return to the standby mode.

Note : When the machine is working, long press the power button for more than 3 seconds, and the machine will enter the shutdown standby mode.

  • 4. TAKE ICE: Press the “TAKE ICE” button and hold it in any mode, the indicator light will flash for 2 seconds and the ice will come out. If the ice cubes are stuck on the rotating rod while taking out the ice, please stop taking out the ice and press the “TAKE ICE” button again to collect the ice again.

  • 5. ADD WATER: When the machine detects that there is no water supply for more than
    60 seconds, the machine will enter the water shortage mode, the add water light will turn on, and the compressor will stop working at the same time. When the machines completely stops running, touch the ON/OFF button once to exit and secure the machine into standby mode.

  • 6.ICE FULL: After an hour, ice or other objects block the infrared rays, and the ice full
    indicator lights up, and the machine enters ice full protection mode. While under the ice full protection mode, touch the ON/OFF button once to exit the protection mode and enter the standby mode

HOW TO CLEAN

  •  Cleaning: In standby mode, press and hold the ON/OFF button for more than 3 seconds, and the machine will start and enter the cleaning mode (the ON/OFF indicator blinks in red and blue light alternately).
  • 2. After the cleaning is over, the machine enters the shutdown standby mode.
  • 3. Dry the exterior with a soft cloth. The outside of the ice machine should be cleaned regularly.
  • 4. Close the drain cap.
  • 5. Warm Tip: Before moving the machine or after you finish using it, please drain the water from the water tank by using the water drain.
  • 6. If the machine has not been used for a long time, please clean it before use. If it is used frequently, please clean it automatically every half month

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

  1. Before commencing any cleaning, unplug the unit and remove any ice cubes. Use a diluted solution of water and vinegar to clean the inside and the outside surface of the Ice Maker. Do not spray Ice Maker with chemicals or diluted agents such as acids, gasoline or oil. Rinse thoroughly before starting.
  2. Keep any ventilation openings of the appliance enclosure, or in the built-in structure, clear of obstruction. Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
  3. Open the drain cap on the back of the machine to drain the water.
  4. Clean the inside with diluted detergent, warm water and a soft cloth.
  5. The exterior of the ice maker should be cleaned regularly with diluted detergent and warm water.
  6. Dry the inside and outside with a soft cloth.
  7. After cleaning, plug the drain pipe on the back of the machine into the cover.
    Tip : When the machine is not in use, open the drain to allow the water to drain completely from the tank.

Always use fresh water before starting any ice production, either at initial installation or after a long shut-off period.

USING YOUR ICE MAKER MACHINE

  1. Press the “ON/OFF” button after the ice maker is powered on, it will start running. You can also use the mobile APP to control the ice maker remotely.
    Tip : You can use potable water directly or use tap water with the included water purification system.

  2. Pull out the water tank, pour water into the water tank with or without water purification system, making sure that it does not exceed the maximum water level.

  3. When the ice maker is on, check the water level regularly. If the water pump fails to pump water, the ice maker will automatically stop and the “ADD WATER” indicator will turn on. Press the “ON/OFF” button to stop, add water to the level mark, then press the “ON/OFF” button again to power on.
    Tip : Be sure to turn off the machine before adding water.

  4. When the ice storage bucket is full, the ice maker will automatically stop working and the “ICE FULL” indicator will light up. To restart ice making, remove the ice cubes and press the “ON/OFF” button.

  5. Change the water in the tank every twenty-four hours to ensure a safe level of hygiene. If the unit is not going to be used for a few days, drain the water tank under the ice storage bucket and any water in the water tank in the ice maker (through the drain on the back of the machine), then refill and run again.

  6. The minimum water level is 1.3 inches and the maximum water level is 4.5 inches. When the water level is low, the “ADD WATER” indicator will light up. Please add water, be sure to turn off the machine before adding water.

30A ICE MAKER APP OPERATION

Notes:

  1. At present, the APP distribution network is only suitable for the 2.4G WIFI network. Please ensure that the ice maker WIFI and the mobile phone APP WIFI are connected to the 2.4G network at the same time; After the device is successfully connected to the network, you can use the mobile phone to remotely control the ice maker with WIFI network or mobile data network.
  2. ON/OFF in the mobile APP interface only  represents the switch of the APP panel,unable to control the ON/OFF switch of the ice maker. To control the machine with APP, you need to use the key operation in the ON state.
  3. Device Network Connection
    MAKER APP OPERATION

Step 1 : Connect the ice maker to the power supply; Enter the App Store and Google Play Store with your mobile phone to search for “SMART LIFE” or scan the QR code below to download the APP program;

Step 2 : Please ensure that the mobile phone turns on Bluetooth mode and connected to the WIFI network;

Step 3 : Press the button and the button of the ice maker at the same time, the two buttons flash alternately, and enter the automatic network connection;

Step 4 : Open the SMART LIFE APP, enter the home page (Figure 1), the main page displays Add Device, click Add Device or click the upper right corner to enter the device matching (Figure 2);
MAKER APP OPERATION

The APP is matched to the device, click “Add” (as shown in Figure 3), select the 2.4G WIFI network, and enter the WIFI password to configure the network (as shown in Figure 4)

Select the WIFI network, enter the password, the ice maker will enter the networkonfiguration state (as shown in Figure 5).

After the network distribution is successful, click the icon in the upper right corner (as shown in Figure 6) to enter the APP operation interface (as shown in Figure 7),

You can use the SMART LIFE APP to scan the QR code below to obtain the distribution network guide map.

In the APP interface:
Area A is the operation area, which can operate ice making, cleaning, and timing functions.

Area B is the function prompt area, which cannot be operated by keys;

ON/OFF for the APP panel, ON means usable state, OFF means closed, and the

APP cannot be used.
| The blue display indicates that the machine is turned on, in a working or standby state;
| After the machine is turned on, press the button to start the ice-making, and press it again to cancel the ice-making; The button turns blue in an ice- making state, and the button turns white when stops making ice.
| Cleaning button: in standby state, press the button, the machine starts cleaning, in the cleaning state, the button turns blue; press the button again to cancel the cleaning, the button turns white.
| Timing operation button: Press the button when the machine is on standby to enter the customization option, and start the ice making or stop the timing function of ice making; After the scheduled task is confirmed, the button will display blue, and the button will turn white after the scheduled task is executed.
| Water shortage warning: when the icon flashes blue, it means the machine is short of water, please add water in time.
| Ice full reminder: when the icon flashes blue, the ice bucket is full, please take out the ice in time; As the ice full state is indicated by the infrared light induction, when ice or obstacles block the infrared receiving light, please remove ice cubes and obstructions in time.
| Tips for taking ice: When the icon flashes blue, it indicates that the ice is being taken manually; When taking ice, please remove the silicone cover of the ice taking port first.
| Compressor reminder: When this icon flashes, it indicates that the compressor is in the return protection state, and the time is 60s. At this time, the ice making and cleaning functions cannot be operated. After the button stops flashing, the ice maker can be operated normally.
| Function setting button: Click to enter the function option setting content including sharing device, software upgrade, checking network, etc.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Possible Causes Solution
“ADD WATER” indicator is on. Water level is low Stop the ice maker, fill

water, and restart.
ICE FULL” indicator is on.| The ice basket is full. The ice sensor is broken.| Remove the ice from the basket. Press “ON/OFF” to start the ice maker forcibly or contact us to change the sensor. Check if ice is blocking the ice shovel and remove the ice.
Ice cubes stick together| The ice making cycle is too long.The part of the evaporator rods in the ice box is too large. The water temperature in the inner tank is too low.| Stop the ice maker and restart when the ice blocks melt. Change the water in the reservoir. Use water between 46 F and 89 F.
Ice is full but the light is off.| The location of the ice maker’s light is too strong and it effects the infrared detection.| Move the ice maker near a darker location.
ce making cycle is normal but there is no ice.| Ambient temperature or water temperature is too high.| Please operate the ice maker below ambient temperature of 89 F and use cold water.
Refrigerant liquid leakage| Contact customer service.
The pipe in the cooling system is blocked.| Contact customer service.

Note : The noises are normal when operating this ice maker: a click sound when the machine was turned on or off; a boiling, gurgling, o knocking sound when refrigerant is circulating through the pipes loud click sound when ice falls into the bucket.
