SUNCO LIGHTING 09845 360 Degree Fixture PIR Sensor Instruction Manual
PLEASE FIND A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN FOR INSTALLATION.
Please read the instructions before you install the sensor and use the
luminaire.
GENERAL
ALL ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS MUST BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH LOCAL AND NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE (N.E.C.) STANDARDS. IF YOU ARE UNFAMILIAR WITH PROPER ELECTRICAL WIRING CONNECTIONS OBTAIN THE SERVICES OF A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN. REMOVE THE TRIM FROM THE BOX AND MAKE SURE THAT NO PARTS ARE MISSING
- WARNING – Risk of fire or electric shock. Sensor installation requires knowledge of luminaires electrical systems. If not qualified, do not attempt installation. Contact a qualified electrician.
- WARNING – Risk of fire or electric shock. Install this sensor only in luminaires that have the construction features and dimensions shown in the photographs and/or drawings and where the input rating of the sensor does not exceed the input rating of the luminaire.
- WARNING – To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not expose wiring to edges of sheet metal or other sharp objects.
- Risk of Electric Shock: Disconnect power or circuit breaker before installing or servicing.
- Do not make or alter any open holes in an enclosure of wiring or electrical components during installation.
WARNING – NOTE:
- Warm up time is 40 seconds. After the sensor connects input power for the first time, the light will stay on for 40 seconds, then go to dimming to work normally.
- Factory Default Settings: Sensitivity set to 100%. Hold on time 10 seconds. Daylight sensor at 30 Lux. Dimming level at 50%. Dimming time at 60 minutes.
- RC-100 Remote (sold separately) required to change factory default settings. If any setting is changed, the LED light will turn on/off as confirmation of connection
CAUTION FOR YOUR SAFETY
IF YOU ARE UNSURE ABOUT ANY PART OF THESE INSTRUCTIONS, CONSULT A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN.
WARNING: DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE INSTALLING OR SERVICVING

CORRIDOR FUNCTION – RC-100 remote (sold separately) required for adjustments beyond the factory default settings. This function inside the motion sensor to achieve tri-level control, for some areas which require a light change notice before switch-off. The sensor offers 3 levels of light: 100%–>dimmed light (natural light is insufficient) –>off; and 2 periods of selectable waiting time: motion hold-time and stand-by period Selectable daylight threshold and motion detection sensitivity
-
With sufficient natural light, the light does not switch on when presence is detected.
-
With insufficient natural light, the sensor switches on the light automatically when presence is detected.
-
After hold-time, the light dims to stand-by level if the surrounding natural light is below the daylight threshold.
-
Light switches off automatically after the stand-by period elapses.
SMART DAYLIGHT SENSOR FUNCTION – RC-100 remote (sold separately) required for adjustments beyond the factory default settings. When remote control is in setting condition push to select the smart daylight sensor settings.
Setting in this example:
Smart Daylight Sensor : On
Hold Time: 30 Min.
Set Point On: 50 Lux
Set Point Off: 300 Lux
Stand-By Dim: 10%
Stand-ByPeriod: +∞
(When the smart daylight sensor is activated, the stand-by time is +∞)
-
The light switches on at 100% when there is movement detected.
-
The light dims to stand-by level after the hold-time.
-
The light remains in dimming level at night.
-
When the natural light level exceeds set point off to light, the light will turn off even if when the space is occupied.
-
The light automatically turns on at 10% when natural light is insufficient (no motion).
