Hello
Lightcloud Blue is a Bluetooth mesh wireless lighting control system that
allows you to control RAB’s various compatible devices. With RAB’s patent-
pending Rapid Provisioning technology, devices can be quickly and easily
commissioned for residential and large commercial applications using the
Lightcloud Blue mobile app. Each device in a system can communicate with any
other device, eliminating the need for a Gateway or Hub and maximizing the
control system’s reach.

- Not suitable for use with standard dimmers and sensors unless specifically designed for RAB Lightcloud Blue Lamps.

Installing your Lightcloud Blue Lamp

Turn off power
• Place the wall switch in the off position.
• Turn off the main power at the breaker panel or remove the fuse from the fuse box. -
Find a suitable location
• Lightcloud Blue devices should be positioned within 60 ft. of each other.
• Building materials such as brick, concrete and steel construction may require additional Lightcloud Blue devices to extend around an obstruction.

Install the Lightcloud Blue Lamp
• Remove old ballast or disconnect from existing lampholder. Remove and dispose of ballast in correct manner. Shown as Figure 1. (North America 120-277VAC)
• Reconnect directly to the existing lampholder.

• Select power and CCT of new LED replacement lamp before installation.
• Install new LED replacement lamp. Shown as Figure 3.
Please make sure the old fitting is correctly earth. Attach retrofit label to luminaire. (North America 120-277VAC)
• Securely fasten the earth fly lead cable to the main body structure. If the cable are damaged in any way please replace. (Do not use existing burnt out cables)
The cable if need replacement must be 1.0mm in size and insulated from heat. -
Power and CCT Selectable

Connect device to power.
Remove plastic plug from lamp, then insert
Lightcloud Blue Plug-In Controller into interface.
For first time use, the lamp will be ready to pair to the Lightcloud Blue app. Power on the lamp to enter pairing mode. While pairing, the lamp will flash on/off 5x and then dim and flash on/off 3x to indicate that it has been paired as an Ungrouped Device in the Lightcloud Blue app.
Controlling your Lightcloud Blue Device

Confirm your device is powered on.

Download the Lightcloud Blue app from the Apple® App Store or Google® Play store.

Launch the App and create an account.

Tap the “add device” icon in the app to start connecting devices.

Follow the remaining steps in the app. Create areas, groups, and scenes to organize and control your devices.

You’re all set!
Setting Device to Pairing Mode
To restore your Lightcloud Blue Field-Adjustable HID Replacement to factory
settings, use the following methods.
Method 1: Delete from App
Open the app and access the device settings for the paired device. Be sure
that the lamp is online and select “Delete”.
Method 2: Manual
Power the lamp off and on 5 times consecutively.
Do not allow less than 1 second and more than 10s elapse before switching off
and keep off for at least 3s before switching on. The lamp will flash 3
times, then reset to 100% brightness at default CCT.
Method 3: Rapid Reset Tool
Lightcloud
The rapid reset process must be done by professional electricians qualified by
RAB. Reach out to your RAB sales manager to request a Rapid Reset Tool.
The tool simply needs to be placed directly on the Lightcloud Blue Plug-In
Controller for 2 seconds. The lamp will flash 3 times, then reset to 100%
brightness at default CCT.
Cleaning & Maintenance
CAUTION: Be sure fixture temperature is cool enough to touch.
Do not clean or maintain while fixture is energized.
- Turn power OFF.
- Use a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive glass cleaner.
- Lightly wipe and clean the fixture.
DO NOT use solvents.
DO NOT use cleaners containing abrasive ingredients.
NEVER spray cleaning liquid directly onto the LEDs, fixture, or wiring.
Troubleshooting
