Centrifugal Water Pump

WARNINGS
Read this documentation carefully before installation. Installation and
operation must comply with the local safety regulations in force in the
country in which the product is installed. Everything must be done in a
workmanlike manner.
Skilled personnel:
Installation must be carried out by competent, skilled personnel in possession
of the technical qualifications required by the specific legislation in force.
The term skilled personnel means persons whose training, experience and
instruction, as well as their knowledge of the respective standards and
requirements for accident prevention and working conditions, have been
approved by the person in charge of plant safety, authorizing them to perform
all the necessary activities, during which they are able to recognize and
avoid all dangers. (Definition for technical personnel IEC 364)
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
SAFETY
Use is allowed only if the electric system is in possession of safety
precautions in accordance with the regulations in force in the country where
the product is installed (for Italy CEI 64/2).
The power supply cable must never be used to carry or shift the pump.
Never pull on the cable to detach the plug from the socket.
For appliance with type Y attachment: if the power cable is damaged, it must
be eplaced by the manufacturer or by their authorized technical assistance
service, so as to avoid any risk. In the case of pumps for a swimming pool:
the pump MUST NOT be used if there are people in the water. For appliance with
type X attachment: If supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special
cord or assembly available from the manufacturer or its service agent. Failure
to observe the warnings may create situations of risk for persons or property
and will void the product guarantee.
RESPONSIBILITY
The Manufacturer does not vouch for correct operation of the electropumps or answer for any damage that they may cause if they have been tampered with, modified and/or run outside the recommended work range or in contrast with other indications given in this manual.
INSTALLATION
If the system is used for the domestic water supply, respect the local
regulations of the authorities responsible for the management of water
resources.
Choosing the installation site verified that:
- The voltage and frequency on the pump’s technical data plate correspond to the values of the power supply system.
- The electrical connection is made in a dry place, far from any possible flooding.
- The electrical system for pumps have to be provided with a differential switch with I Δn ≤ 30 mA and that the earth system is efficient.
- Pumps without indication that they are protected against the effect of freezing shallnot be left outside during freezing weather conditions.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
Attention: always respect the safety regulations! Electrical installation
must be carried out by an expert, authorized electrician, who takes on all
responsibility.
The system must be correctly and safey earthed as required by the regulations
in force.
If a plug-connected pump is connected to an electric installation where an
electrical circuit breaker (voltage sensing ELCB, residual-current device RCD
or residual-current circuit device RCCB) is used as an additional protection,
this circuit breaker must be marked with the first or both of the symbols
shown below. If the pump is terminalconnected, the circuit breaker must be
marked with both of the symbols below: If the appliance is not fitted with
means for disconnection: means for disconnection must be incorporated in the
fixed wiring in accordance with the regulation in force in the country where
the product is to be installed.
The thermal magnetic circuit breaker must be correctly sized.
MAINTENANCE
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without
supervision.
Before starting any work on the system, before starting to look for faults it
is necessary to disconnect the power supply to the pump (take the plug out of
the socket).
