Product Usage Instructions

Download the App

1. If the ServiceMatters app is not already installed, download it from the app store or the official Whirlpool website.

Sync the App

1. Open the ServiceMatters app.
2. Click on the More button.
3. Select “Service Data Download”.
4. Choose “Full Download” to ensure you have all the necessary service data.

Verify Service Tool Option

1. Open the ServiceMatters app.
2. Ensure that the Service Tool button is available and accessible.

Pair the Tool to the Phone/Device

1. Go to the WiFi settings on your phone or device.
2. From the list of available networks, select “Service_XXXX” (XXXX represents a unique identifier).
3. Enter the password, which can be found under the battery cover of the tool. The password is the SAID ID.

Connect the Service Tool

1. Plug the power cord into the service tool.
2. Connect the other end of the power cord to a power outlet.
3. Press the red button on the module to power it on.
4. Connect the cable to the module and the service key.
5. Connect the service key to the ACU board on the appliance.

Update the File

1. Open the ServiceMatters app.
2. Click on the Service Tool icon.
3. Enter the model number of the appliance.
4. Select “Settings File Update” and then click “OK”.
5. Once the Service Tool is connected, a Settings File Update message will appear. Click “OK”. The download process may take between 30 to 120 seconds.

Note: Make sure that the red and green LED lights on the service tool illuminate when connected properly. Additionally, the ACU power LED and HMI should power on when connected correctly.

DOWNLOAD THE APP

NOTE: The red and green LED lights, on the service tool, should illuminate when connected properly. Also, the ACU power LED along with the HMI will power on when connected properly.

UPDATE THE FILE

1. Open the app, click on the “Service Tool” icon
2. Enter the model number
3. Select “Settings File Update” and then “OK”
4. Once Service Tool is connected a “Settings File Update” message will appear. Click “OK”. The download can take 30 – 120 seconds.
