09/09/2022 Update

  1. Updates the compatible speakers for Klipsch Optimized Mode by adding Klipsch Reference Premiere series new models.
  2. Improves stability of Bluetooth Transmitter function.
  3. Raises the upper limit of the Dirac delay time from 20 msec to 50 msec.
  4. Adds recovery process when Network Error occurs in Dirac.
  5. Minor bug fixes and stability improvements.

  1. Adds Klipsch Reference Premiere II series speakers to the compatible speakers for Klipsch Optimized Mode, including some updates of Klipsch Reference series.
  2. Improves mic curve characteristics of Dirac Live for the mic used for Dirac Live calibration. If already calibrated, then please recalibrate Dirac live after this update.
  3. Minor bug fixes and stability improvements.

  2. Virtual Remote, Limit Mode, and HDMI diagnostic functions have been added to the Web Setup Menu.
  3. Fixed the problem that the audio format of TIDAL playback becomes AAC.
  4. Fixed the problem of color corruption in Dolby Vision games on Xbox.
  5. Fixed a problem where the image would not be displayed when VRR was turned on for Xbox.
  6. Fixed the problem where High Bit Rate Audio such as Dolby TrueHD would not be output when 4K or 8K resolution signals were input.
  7. Fixed the problem where audio would not be output from the TV speakers when playing High Bit Rate Audio signals such as Dolby TrueHD in TV audio output mode.
  8. Fixed a problem with the HDMI diagnostic function Source Test.

Product Usage Instructions

Firmware Update Instructions

  1. Connect the unit to a network.
  2. Access the firmware update option in the settings menu of the Onkyo AV Receiver.
  3. Select the network update option.
  4. Wait for the receiver to check for available updates.
  5. If an update is found, follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the update.
  6. Once the update is complete, the receiver will restart automatically.

Updating the firmware via USB connection

  1. Prepare a USB storage device with a capacity of 128 MB or larger.
  2. Download the firmware update file from the official Onkyo website or the provided source.
  3. Copy the firmware update file to the root directory of the USB storage device.
  4. Connect the USB storage device to the USB port of the Onkyo AV Receiver.
  5. Access the firmware update option in the settings menu of the receiver.
  6. Select the USB update option.
  7. Wait for the receiver to detect the firmware update file on the USB storage device.
  8. Follow the on-screen instructions to initiate the firmware update.
  9. Do not disconnect the power or remove the USB storage device during the update process.
  10. Once the update is complete, the receiver will restart automatically.
