Product Usage Instructions

Connecting the Switch

  1. Connect the power cord to the switch and plug it into a power outlet.
  2. Connect the WAN port of the switch to your internet router using an Ethernet cable.
  3. Connect your devices (e.g., PCs, IP cameras, APs, IP phones) to the LAN ports of the switch using Ethernet cables.

Using PoE Ports
The switch has PoE ports that can also connect to non-PoE devices for data transmission only. If you want to supply power to connected devices, you need to use a PoE-in port and connect a Powered Sourcing Equipment (PSE) device to provide power for the switch.

Using Reverse PoE Switch
If you are using a Reverse PoE switch, it is a passive PoE switch that gets power from PoE-in ports and supplies power to connected powered devices via PoE-out ports or DC port. Note that the DC port is a power output port and should not be connected to any power source.

Outdoor PoE Switch: Mounting

Method 1: Pole Mounting

  1. Attach the mounting bracket to the pole using screws.
  2. Secure the switch to the mounting bracket using screws.

Method 2: Wall Mounting

  1. Attach the mounting bracket to the wall using screws and anchors.
  2. Secure the switch to the mounting bracket using screws.

FAQ

Q: Can I connect non-PoE devices to PoE ports?
A: Yes, you can connect non-PoE devices to PoE ports for data transmission. However, if you want to supply power to those devices, you need to use a PoE- in port and connect a PSE device to provide power for the switch.

Q: What is a Reverse PoE switch?
A: A Reverse PoE switch is a passive PoE switch that gets power from PoE-in ports and supplies power to connected devices via PoE-out ports or DC ports. The DC port is a power output port and should not be connected to any power source.

Q: Can I use a PoE IN port for DC or AC power input?

A: No, a switch with a PoE IN port does not support DC or AC power input. You need to connect a PSE device to the PoE IN port to provide power for the switch.
