Product Usage Instructions
Initial Setup
- Insert the batteries into the timer. Make sure to follow the correct polarity.
- Press and hold the SET button for at least 2 seconds. The display will show SET and the day of the week will start flashing.
- Use the UP or DOWN button to select the desired day of the week.
- Press the SET button again to confirm the selection.
- Plug the timer into a regular 230VAC power outlet. Leave for approximately 1 hour to charge the Memory Back-up battery.
- Clear all current information by pressing MASTER CLEAR button with a sharp object such as a pen or pencil after charging.
- The timer is now ready to be set up for use.
Setting the Current Time
- Press and hold the SET button for at least 2 seconds. The display will show SET and the day of the week will start flashing.
- Use the UP or DOWN button to adjust the hour.
- Press the SET button to switch to the minute adjustment.
- Use the UP or DOWN button to adjust the minute.
- Press the SET button again to confirm the current time.
- Press and hold SET button for at least 2 seconds, “SET” and “MO” (Monday) will flash in the screen. Then press UP or DOWN button to select day of week.
- Press SET button once to advance to hour setting. “SET” and “00” will flash in the screen, then press UP or DOWN button to select current hour.
- Press SET button once again to advance to minute setting. “SET” and “00” will flash in the screen, then press UP or DOWN button to select current minute.
- Press SET button one more time to complete the setup.
- To reset CLOCK, repeat above steps.
- While programming, press UP and DOWN buttons simultaneously to exit CLOCK setting mode.
- While programming, if no button is pushed for 30 seconds the timer will return to CLOCK mode. Set on/off events
Set on/off events
- While the timer is at CLOCK mode, press UP button once to enter into events setting mode. The screen will show the first ON event.
- Press SET button once, “SET” and “MO” (Monday) will flash in the screen. Then press UP or DOWN button to select the desired day(s) of week for programming to be ON.
- Press SET button once again to advance to hour setting. “SET” and “00” will flash in the screen, then press UP or DOWN button to select hour of the desired ON time.
- Press SET button once again to advance to minute setting. “SET” and “00” will flash in the screen, then press UP or DOWN button to select minute of the desired ON time.
- Press SET button one more time to complete setting of the first ON event.
- Press UP button once again to advance to the first OFF event.
- Repeat the procedure 2-5 to complete setting of the first OFF event. If necessary, repeat steps 1-6 to set additional 9 ON/OFF events.
- While programming, press UP and DOWN buttons simultaneously to exit events setting mode and return to CLOCK mode.
- While programming, if no button is pushed for 30 seconds the timer will return to CLOCK mode. Please note: If you want to activate ON/OFF events, ensure the timer must be in AUTO mode. Random and countdown functions are canceled.
Review, change, recall and restore on/off events
- To review ON/OFF events: While the timer is at CLOCK mode, press UP button repeatedly, the screen will show ON/OFF events in order.
- To change ON/OFF events:While the timer is at CLOCK mode, press UP button repeatedly and locate the event setting(s) to change. Then use Step 2-5 in SET ON/OFF EVENTS to change the setting.
- To recall and restore ON/OFF events: While the timer is at CLOCK mode, press UP button repeatedly and locate the event setting(s) . Then press MANUAL button once to delete the event, the event will be replaced by “–:–” . Press MANUAL button once again to resume the previous setting.
Set mode
- While the timer is at clock mode, press MANUAL button as necessary to display:
- “ON” – the plugged in device remain ON.
- “OFF” – the plugged in device remain OFF.
- “AUTO” – the plugged in device follows your programmed timer settings.
- Please note:If the mode is turned from ON to AUTO, the attached device will keep on until the next programmed OFF time. If the mode is turned from OFF to AUTO, the attached device will keep off until the next programmed ON time.
Operating Modes
- ON/AUTO/OFF: Use the MANUAL button to switch between these modes.
- 12/24 Hour Mode: Press and hold the CD and SET buttons simultaneously to switch between 12-hour and 24-hour display.
- Daylight Saving Time: Press and hold the MANUAL and SET buttons simultaneously to enable or disable daylight saving time.
RandomFunction
Press the RANDOM button to activate the random function. The timer will
turn on and off randomly within a specified time range.
- Press RANDOM button. “R” will show in the screen. Random function is activated.
- When random is activated, the timer will be in on position randomly for 10-31 minutes during the time gap from 6:00PM to 6:00AM.
- Press RANDOM button again to cancel this function.
Please note:
- If you want to activate random function, ensure the timer is in “AUTO” mode.
- Once random function is activated, ON/OFF events between 6:00PM and 6:00AM and countdown program are automatically blocked.
CountdownFunction
Press the CD button to activate the countdown function. Use the UP and DOWN
buttons to set the desired countdown time. The timer will count down and turn
off automatically when the set time is reached.
- While the timer is at CLOCK mode, press DOWN button once to enter into countdown setting mode.
- Press SET button once, “SET” and “OFF” will flash in the screen, press UP or DOWN button to select countdown ON or OFF. If “ON” is selected, the timer will be on during the countdown period, then it will be off once countdown program is completed. If “OFF” is selected, the timer will be off during the countdown period, then it will be on once countdown program is completed.
- Press SET button once again to advance to hour setting, “SET” and “0” will flash in the screen, press UP or DOWN button to select hour for countdown time.
- Press SET button once again to advance to minute setting. “SET” and “00” will flash in the screen, press UP or DOWN button to select minute for countdown time.
- Press SET button once again to advance to second setting. “SET” and “00” will flash in the screen, press UP or DOWN button to select second for countdown time.
- Press SET button one more time to complete the setup.
- Press CD button once, countdown program is activated. Press CD button once again, countdown program will stop and restore countdown time what time you set.
- The CD will flash in the screen when press CD button in CLOCK mode. It means CD function is activated.
- While programming, press UP and DOWN buttons simultaneously to exit countdown setting mode and return to CLOCK mode.
- While programming, if no button is pushed for 30 seconds the timer will return to CLOCK mode. Please note: If you want to activate countdown program, ensure the timer is in “AUTO” mode. Random function is canceled.
12/24 Hour Mode
Press CD button and SET buttons simultaneously to turn the time display between 12 and 24 hour mode.
Summertime function
- Press MANUAL and SET button simultaneously, LCD shows S(Summer time). Clock advances 1 hour.
- To revert to winter setting, press the two buttons again. Clock moves backward 1 hour. S disappears in LCD.
Operation priority (from the highest to the lowest)
Please notice the operation priority when you use the timer:
- ON OR OFF ——►2. RANDOM——►3. CD——►4. ON/OFF EVENTS.
