EMERSON XC PRO Controller Bios Update
Connect laptop to controller
Identify the IP address of the controller.
Go to the “Service” menu on the Visotouch display connected to the controller
(yellow wrench icon) → Scroll down to “Conf IP & MDB Management” → The IP
address is shown in this menu.
The default IP address of the controller is 192.168.0.250.
- Connect the laptop to the controller with a crossover cable.
- The laptop can only communicate with the controller if they are in the same network.
i. Disconnect the laptop from your company data network.
ii. In the Windows environment go to “Network & Internet Settings”, then
“Change adapter options”.
iii. Select “Ethernet” and “Properties”.
Click on “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)” and “Properties”.
In “Properties” set the IP parameters according to the IP address of the controller.
- Click on “OK” to confirm.
- Open the webpage of the controller.
i. Go to the browser.
ii. Enter the IP address of the controller.
iii. Enter username “admin” and password “Dixell” to login.
Open “Info” page on the left.
Load empty application
- Prepare USB stick with following folders and correct isadix file in folder “app”. Contact the Emerson Application Engineering department for the correct isadix file.
- Connect USB stick to the controller.
- Session will become invalid (after a few minutes).
- Reload the page.
- Application release shows “Restore isadix (Validating)”.
- When the message “(Validating)” disappears (reloading of the page might be necessary), remove the USB stick.
Load new BIOS
Prepare USB stick with following folders and correct zupdater file in folder “bios” and correct isadix file in folder “app”. Contact the Emerson Application Engineering department for the correct zupdater and isadix files.
- Connect USB stick to the controller.
- Session will become invalid (after a few minutes).
- Reload the page.
- BIOS and application release show “(Validating)”.
