Safety Instructions

Usage

  1. It is prohibited to use the product near heat sources, such as a fire source or a heating furnace.
  2. It is prohibited to contact with any liquid. Do not immerse the product in water or get it wet. Never use the product in rain or humid environments.
  3. It is prohibited to use the product in an environment with strong static electricity or magnetic fields.
  4. It is prohibited to disassemble the product in any way or pierce the product with sharp objects.
  5. It is prohibited to use wires or other metal objects that may result in a short circuit.
  6. It is prohibited to use unofficial components or accessories. If you need to replace any components or accessories, please visit official ROMOSS channels to check elevant information.
  7. When using the product, please strictly follow the operating environment temperature specified in this User Manual. If the temperature is too high, it may result in a fire or explosion; if the temperature is too low, the product performance may be severely reduced, or the product may not meet usage requirements.
  8. It is prohibited to stack any heavy objects on the product.
  9. It is prohibited to lock the fan forcibly during use or place the product in an unventilated or dusty area.
  10. Avoid impact, falls, or severe vibrations when using the product. In case of a severe external impact, turn off the power supply immediately and stop using the product. Ensure the product is properly fastened during transportation to avoid vibrations and impacts.
  11. If you accidentally drop the product into water during use, place it in a safe open area, and stay away from it until it is completely dry. The dried product should not be used again, and should be properly disposed of according to Section 2.2 below. If the product catches fire, it is recommended to use the fire extinguishers in the following order: water or water mist, sand, fire blanket, dry powder, and carbon dioxide fire extinguisher.
  12. Use a dry cloth to clean off dirt on the product ports.
  13. Place the product carefully to avoid damages caused by falling over. If the product is overturned and severely damaged, turn it off immediately, place the battery in an open area, keep it away from combustible matter and people, and dispose of it in accordance with local laws and regulations.
  14. Keep the product out of reach of children and pets.

Disposal

  1. If conditions permit, make sure that the battery is fully discharged before disposing it in a designated battery recycling bin. The product contains batteries with dangerous chemicals, so it is strictly prohibited to dispose of it in ordinary trash cans. For more details, follow the local laws and regulations on battery recycling and disposal.
  2. If the battery fails to be fully discharged due to a product failure, do not dispose of the battery directly in a battery recycling box. Contact a professional battery recycling company for further processing
  3. Dispose of over-discharged batteries as they cannot be recharged.

Product Usage

  1. Turning on
    When the product is turned off, press and hold the main power switch to turn the product on. At the same time, the LCD screen lights up. In sleep status, press the main power switch once to light up the LCD screen.

  2. Turning off
    Press and hold the main power switch to turn off the product. When there is charging input source, the product will not turn off.

  3. Using USB output
    After ensuring that main power supply is turned on, press the DC button once to light up the blue lamp. Then, you can use the USB output port (USB-A/Type-C). Press the DC button once again to turn off the product, and the blue lamp will light off.

  4. Using 12V DC output
    After ensuring that main power supply is turned on, press the DC button to light up the blue lamp. Then, you can use the 12V DC output port (Cigar lighter/DC5525). Press the DC button once again to turn off the product, and the blue lamp will light off.

  5. Using AC output
    After ensuring that main power supply is turned on, press the AC button to light up the blue lamp. Then, you can use the AC output port. Press and hold the AC button, and the orange lamp will light up. Then, you can use the parallel output port. Press and hold the AC button again to turn off the output.

  6. Using lamp
    Press the Lighting button to light up the flashlight. Press the Lighting button again to light up LED lamp; and press it three times to turn off all lights. Press and hold the Lighting button, and the flashlight enters the SOS mode. Press the Lightening button once to disable the SOS mode.

  7. Parallel and constant power
    After the main switch is turned on, it defaults to Constant Power mode. For AC output, it is required to press and hold the AC button for more than 3 seconds to switch to Parallel mode when the device is turned off. Two or more power supplies can be connected in parallel. Press and hold the AC button for more than 3 seconds again to turn off the AC output. When the AC button is enabled, if the device is in Constant Power mode, the AC(R-MAX) on the LCD screen is solid on; if the device is in Parallel mode, AC(R-RISE) on the LCD screen is solid on.
    Note: To use the parallel function, you need to purchase a parallel connection box additionally.

Note
The battery may be in Sleep mode after long-term transportation and storage. Please charge the product with an adapter, and the battery will be activated after 10 minutes.
Fully charge the product when you use it for the first time to avoid inconvenience due to insufficient battery level.

R-UPS Function

The product supports UPS function. In the event of outage, the product will switch to be supplied by a power supply within 10ms. However, the function is not a professional USP function, and therefore does not support Oms switch. Do not connect the product to any device with UPS requirements, such as: data server and working station. During use, do not use several devices at the same to avoid overload protection. ROMOSS takes no responsibility for operation failure or data caused by failures to follow instructions.

Using Power-up Pack

The product can be connected to up to three power-up packs (purchased separately) at the same time to meet higher capacity requirements. For details, please refer to RX1000 Power-up Pack User Manual.

Please refer to the precautions below when using the product:

  1. Before connecting the product to the power-up pack, please make sure that the product and power-up pack are turned off.
  2. After connecting the product to the power-up pack, please make sure that the connection cables of the product and the power-up pack are well connected.
  3. Do not directly connect the power-up pack to the product or remove the power-up pack from the product during charging or discharging. Before such connection or removal, please turn off the product first.
  4. Do not contact the metal pins on the power-up pack connection port with hands or other objects directly. If the metal pins have foreign objects, wipe them with dry cloth.

Using Parallel Connection Box

The product can be connected to up to four parallel connection boxes (purchased separately) at the same time to meet higher power requirements. For details, please refer to Parallel Connection Box User Manual.

Please refer to the precautions below when using the product:

  1. Before connecting the product to the parallel connection box, please make sure that the product is turned off.
  2. After connecting the product to the parallel connection box, please make sure that the R-RISE icon is appeared on the product’s LCD screen before use.
  3. Do not directly connect the parallel connection box to the product or remove the parallel connection box from the product during charging or discharging. Before such connection or removal, please turn off the product first.
  4. Do not contact the metal pins on the power-up pack connection port with hands or other objects directly. If the metal pins have foreign objects, wipe them with dry cloth

FAQ

  1. What type of battery does the product use?
    The product uses lithium iron phosphate battery.

  2. What devices can the product’s AC output port power?
    The product’s AC output port features 1,000W rated power and 2,000W peak power,and the product has the R-MAX function, which can power some heating appliances with power s 2,000W. Before use, we recommend that you confirm the power of the appliances first and ensure the power sum of all loaded appliances is lower than the rated power.

  3. How long can the product charge a device?
    The power supply time is shown on the product’s LCD screen, which can be used to estimate the charging time of appliances with stable power usage.

  4. Why does the fan start up sometimes?
    When using an outdoor power supply for charging, the product may heat up due to high power, and the built-in fan helps heat dissipation of the product. When the temperature reaches a certain level, the fan will start up automatically with light noise

  5. How to store the product?
    Before storing, please turn off the product first, and then store it in a dry and ventilated  blace at room temperature. Do not place it near water sources. For long-term storage,it is recommended to discharge the battery to 30% and recharge it to 60% every three months to extend its battery life.

  6. Can I bring the product on a plane?
    No. According to airline regulations, passengers are not allowed to carry a Lithium battery with capacity greater than 100Wh on a plane.

  7. Is the product’s actual output capacity the same as that stated in the User Manual?
    The capacity stated in the User Manual is the rated capacity of the product’s power pack. However, due to certain efficiency loss during charging and discharging, the products actual output capacity is lower than that stated in the User Manual.

Precautions

  1. Make sure to read all instructions before using the product.
  2. Fully charge the product when you use it for the first time.
  3. To reduce risks, close supervision is required when you use the product with children nearby
  4. Before using the product, light up the digital product’s screen, and make sure that all Charging connection icons are correctly displayed to ensure that the product is functioning.
  5. Use the charger provided in the products package to charge the product.
  6. When charging a digital product with the product, please select an appropriate connection cable on your own.
  7. when charging a digital product, if the product’s LCD screen displays that the battery level is insufficient, please charge it as soon as possible. When connecting a digital product to the product, the digital product will use the product’s battery level at priority.
  8. When the digital product is fully charged, remove the connection cable in time to avoid loss.
  9. When the product is not in use, please remove the power plug from the product’s socket.
  10. Do not expose the product in too hot, too cold, or damp environments.
  11. To ensure safety, the product can only be used in places with an elevation under 2,000m.
  12. WARNING: To avoid risk of fire, electric shock etc, only the accessories (such as battery, external power supply, car adaptor etc) provided by the manufacturer can be used with the product.

Warranty description (The warranty scope only covers the product, excluding accessories and gifts.)

  1. After purchasing this product, the user can enjoy 2-year free repair service.
  2. In the following cases the warranty is invalid, and fees will be charged for maintenance.
  3. Damage caused by human factors, including use under abnormal operating environment or not in accordance with the instruction manual, etc.
  4. The user disassembles, repairs or refits the panel without permission, or has it repaired by a non-Romoss maintenance department or an unauthorized organization.
  5. Damage due to force majeure.
  6. Absence of the product warranty card, valid purchase certificate (invoice), and verifiable user information.
  7. The product barcode and label bearing the production date are torn (outer packaging).
  8. The product barcode (on the product) has been torn up.
