Assembly of Side Rails
-
Before installing the side rails, raise the bed to the highest
position and remove any objects or accessories that could become
entrapped in the side rail. -
Position the side rail in the desired location, ensuring a
maximum safety distance of 60mm between the side rail and the
headboard, and a minimum safety distance of 318mm between the side
rail and the footboard. -
Place the U-shaped brackets on the sides of the bed. Pass the
round head screw through the hole in the moorings, with the head
towards the outside of the bed. Put the washer on and fasten with
the locking nut. Ensure it is very tight.
Note: The designer recommends that the railing
be placed with the automatic locking system facing the head of the
bed (folding the railing from head to foot). This ensures that the
risk of entrapment of the patient on the headboard side is
minimized.

Fold down side rails
Product code 910T-L, 910T-R
The fold down side rail is a one piece rail that extends along the side of the
bed from the head to the foot section. When the side rail is in the raised
position, the automatic locking system holds the rail in place. The side rails
are safe and easy to use, as the system used to attach them folds when they
are lowered, helping to prevent patients from catching themselves or having
accidents. They can be used on any kind of bed by adapting the bed’s fitting
to the frame section. The fitting takes 50mm x 20mm frame up to a maximum 70mm
x 40mm. When the side rail is lowered, it is the same height as the bed frame.

Warnings Please read before using this product.
· A thorough risk assessment should be carried out on all patients by a
qualified Health Care Professional before use of a side rail is considered.
· Serious injury or death can result if side rails are not properly installed
or if incompatible side rails are used. Entrapment has resulted in injuries
and death. Entrapment is a situation where an individual can become wedged
between a side rail and any other object. The possibility of an individual’s
head, body, arm(s), or leg(s) could be trapped between the bars of a side
rail, between the side rail and a head or footboard of a bed, or between the
side rail and a mattress. Regularly check the side rail to identify areas of
possible entrapment.
· Extra safety measures and precautions should be used for high-risk patients.
Such users include those who have cognitive impairment (including those
individuals with behavioural issues or those under medication or sedation),
users who have size or weight conditions that may change the gap between the
side rail and the mattress, and users who are generally restless while awake
or asleep.
· These side rails are intended to prevent an individual from rolling out of
bed.
· This is not a position or weight transferring product and should not be
treated as such.
· Use the side rail only for the purpose it is intended for.
ATTENTION! This user manual must be read before using the side rail. Severe
injury or death may result if user instructions, maintenance instructions and
product warnings are not followed.
WARNING! The decision to use this side rail should always be guided by a
