Product Usage Instructions
Care and Cleaning
To clean your ReMade product, follow these steps:
- Machine Wash: Machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle with mild laundry detergent. Add bleach if needed. Air dry. For small items, use a laundry bag.
- Add Bleach: For stubborn stains, add a 1:5 ratio of bleach to the soap and water solution.
- Oil-Based Spills: Use Sunbrella ExtractTM Oil-Based Stain Remover or a strong degreaser for oil-based stains.
Steam to Remove Wrinkles
To remove wrinkles, use a steamer or steam iron set to the synthetic setting. Test on a small area before ironing the entire piece.

Care and Cleaning
One of the best ways to keep Sunbrella® ReMade products looking good is to brush off dirt before it becomes embedded in the fabric and clean spills soon after they occur. The quicker you clean spills, the easier they can be to remove.
Try this first… With a new spill on your Sunbrella ReMade product
- Blot (don’t rub) liquid spills with a clean, dry cloth.
- For oil-based spills, apply an absorbent, such as cornstarch, directly on the spill. Let sit for 10 minutes and remove the excess using a straight edge.
- Spray on a mild cleaning solution of soap and water or use our Sunbrella Clean™ Multi-Purpose Fabric Cleaner.
- Rinse the fabric thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
- Air dry.
- Try this next… If your first try doesn’t get the spill completely out.
Machine Wash
- Machine wash your ReMade product in cold water on a gentle cycle with normal amounts of mild laundry detergent and bleach if needed.
- Allow to air dry. Do not dry clean. For small items, like coasters, place them in a laundry bag before washing.
Add Bleach
- For more stubborn stains, we would recommend adding a 1:5 ratio of bleach to the soap and water solution mentioned above.
Oil-Based Spills
- If a stubborn oil-based stain persists after cleaning, use Sunbrella Extract™
- Oil Based Stain Remover or treat with a strong degreaser and rinse thoroughly.
