Thank you for purchasing our 4K WiFi Action Camera. The Epic 85 enables you to capture your dynamic and versatile moments in 4K 30fps video or 20MP photos. WARNING: Please lock the waterproof housing before putting it into water,
otherwise it can result in leaks that may damage or destroy your camera. Water
will damage both the camera and the battery, which could cause an explosion or
fire. Your warranty does not cover water damage resulting from user error.
Getting Started
To capture videos or photos, you will need a Micro SD card (sold separately).
Note:

Please format the Micro SD card first in this camera before using it.
To keep your Micro SD card in good condition, we recommend reformatting it on a regular basis. Reformatting erases all your content. so be sure to save your photos and videos on a computer or external drive. -
FAT32 format Micro SD card stops recording when the storage of each file is over 1.7GB and starts to record again on a new file.
Powering On and Off the Camera
Power On: Press and hold the Mode button for three seconds.
Power Off: Press and hold the Mode button for three seconds.
Switching Modes
Press the Power/Mode button to switch between the different modes.
Turning On/Off Wi-Fi
While the camera is on, hold the ‘Up’ button to activate WiFi pairing. The
yellow blinking light indicates the WiFi is in pairing mode. After connecting
your camera to the phone and pairing it with the app, the blinking yellow
light becomes steady, confirming the connection is stable. To exit WiFi mode,
press the ‘Up’ button again.
Modes
The camera supports 5 modes: Video Recording, Photo Shooting, Slow Motion,
Playback and System Settings.
video Mode: is the default mode when you urn on the camera. In Video
mode, press the – K button, the camera will start recording video. Press OK
button again to stop recording video. Photo Mode: press Mode button once
after he camera is fully powered on. This will noble Photo mode. Press the OK
button to ake individual pictures. slow Motion : press Mode button twice
after he camera is fully powered on. This will noble Slow Motion mode. Press
the OK button, the camera will start recording video.
Press OK button again to stop recording .
Playback : press Mode button three times after the camera is fully
powered on. Here you can view all your recorded content. Use the Up or Down
buttons on the side of the camera to cycle through each image or video. To
playback videos, press the OK button on the selected video. Settings:
press Mode button four times after the camera is fully powered on. Press OK
button to confirm the selection. To navigate to each Setting menu group, use
the Mode button. To scroll between each option, use the Up and Down
buttons.
- Video Menu: In this menu you can configure the following: Video Resolution, Recording Sound, Time-Lapse, Loop Recording, and Slow Motion.
- Photo Menu: In this menu you can configure the following: Photo Resolution, Timer, Auto-Shoot, and Drama Shot.
- System Settings Menus: You can configure the following: Exposure, White Balance, WiFi, Image Rotation, Driving Mode, LED Indicator Light, Auto Screensaver, Auto Shutdown, Time Watermark, Language preferences, Date-Time, Formatting Micro SD card, Factory Reset, Firmware Version, and more.
Back & Front Screen Switching )
Long press the Down Button. The back and front screen can be switched to video
and photo modes. The back screen goes off after switching to the front screen
display, and the front screen goes off after switching to the back screen
display.
Battery Installation:
-
Installing the Battery: Locate the battery compartment below the camera and remove it.
Put the battery into the battery compartment according to the indicating arrow. -
Removing the Battery: Open the battery compartment to take the battery out. Charge the battery using the included charger and cable (the LED light at the left will be on). You may use any USB power source to charge the battery such as computer, USB wall adapter, or USB car charger.
Note: Camera can be used for video while it’s being charged. Choose the charging mode in the interface.
Indicator Light
Working LED Light: When the camera is in use you will see the LED indicator
Blue.
Charging LED Light: When the camera is charging, the LED indicator will flash
Red and once fully charged it will turn solid Red.
Connecting Camera to TV/Monitor via HDMI
Connect the camera to your HDMI enabled TV/Monitor. You will need a Micro
HDMI to HDMI cable (not supplied). All operations can be displayed in high
definition on your TV/Monitor screen.
Connecting Camera to a PC
Connect the camera to a PC and turn on the camera. The screen will display with 3 modes: USB Mode, PC Camera, Charging Mode. Press the up or down button to choose the mode you prefer.
- USB Mode: Press OK button to enter the USB mode for playback of videos and photos.
- PC Camera: Press OK button to use as a PC camera.
- Charging Mode: Press OK button to charge the camera.
APP Installation
Please download and install “X-Sport Pro” APP on your smartphone.
- For Android: Search and install “X-Spo Pro” on Google Play store or scan QR code below.
- For iPhone: Search and install “X-Sport Pro on Apple APP store or scan QR code below.

WiFi Connection:
- After powering on the camera, long press the up button. The WiFi information will be displayed and WiFi will be enabled.
- Search the WiFi name, “ARG-AC-9185BK’” in your smartphone or tablet and enter the password, “12345678”.
- Open the “X-Sport Pro” APP. With this free app you can preview the active screen, access videos and photos remotely, and files can be played back, downloaded, deleted, or shared.
Note: For APP installation, your phone system requires to be Android 4.1 and above or iOS 7 or higher.
Playing Back Your Content
You can play back your content on the camera’s LCD display, your computer, TV,
or smartphone/tablet. You can also play back content by inserting the Micro SD
card directly into a device, such as a computer or compatible TV. With this
method, playback resolution depends on the resolution of the device and its
ability to play back that resolution.
Reformatting the Micro SD Card
To keep your MicroSD card in good condition, reformatting it on a regular basis is recommended. Reformatting erases all your content, so be sure to offload your photos and videos first to a computer or external drive.
- Turn on the camera.
- Press the Mode button four times, followed by pressing the OK button to enter the Camera Settings.
- Press the Mode button three times to navigate to the Configuration Menu. Using the Down button, navigate to the Format option.
- Press the OK button. The screen will prompt Confirmation or Cancel.
- Press the Up or Down button to highlight the ‘Confirmation’ option. Then press the ‘OK’ button to confirm. Once successfully formatted, the camera will return to normal operating mode directly.
Proper Maintenance for the Camera
Follow these guidelines to get the best performance from your camera:
- For the best audio performance, shake the camera or blow on the mic to remove all debris from the microphone holes.
- To clean the lens, wipe it with a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Do not insert foreign objects around the lens.
- Don’t touch the lens with your fingers.
- Keep the camera away from drops and bumps, which may cause damage to the parts inside.
- Keep the camera away from high temperature and strong sunshine to avoid being damaged.
Maximizing Battery Life
A message appears on the display if the battery drops below 10%. If the battery reaches 0% while recording, the camera saves the file and powers off. To maximize the battery life, follow these guidelines when possible:
- Turn off Wireless Connections
- Capture video at lower frame rates and resolutions
- Use Screen Saver setting
Battery Storage and Handling
The camera contains sensitive components, including the battery.
Avoid exposing your camera to very cold or very hot temperatures. Low or high
temperature conditions may temporarily shorten the battery life or cause the
camera to temporarily stop working properly. Avoid dramatic changes in
temperature or humidity when using the camera, as condensation may form on or
within the camera.
Do not dry the camera or battery with an external heat source such as a
microwave oven or hair dryer. Damage to the camera or battery caused by
contact with liquid inside the camera is not covered under the warranty.
Do not store your battery with metal objects, such as coins, keys or
necklaces. If the battery terminals come in contact with metal objects, this
may cause a fire.
Do not make any unauthorized alterations to the camera. Doing so may
compromise safety, regulatory compliance, performance, and may void the
warranty.
WARNING : Do not drop, disassemble, open, crush, bend, deform, puncture, shred, microwave, incinerate or paint the camera or battery. Do not insert foreign objects into the battery opening on the camera. Do not use the camera or the battery if it has been damaged – for example, if cracked, punctured or harmed by water. Disassembling or puncturing the battery can cause an explosion or fire.
Using the Remote Control
To record videos using the remote, ensure the camera is in Video Mode. Press
the (2) Grey button once to.
initiate the recording and press again to stop the recording. To take pictures
using the remote, ensure the camera is in Photo Mode. Press the (1) Red
button to take pictures. The camera will emit a OK sound. Replacing the
Battery on the Remote Control

The remote uses a CR2032 coin battery. Use a 1.8mm Phillips tip screwdriver to remove the 4 screws on the back cover of the remote, allowing you to open it.

Remove another 4 screws on PCB board.

Lift the PCB board and slide out the battery, as shown in the picture.
Note : Do NOT rotate the PCB board to avoid reversing the camera and video button functions. -
Install the new battery, keeping the “+” pole facing up.

Install all 4 screws back onto the PCB board.

Put rear cover back on and install all 4 screws.
Opening & Closing the Waterproof Case

Open the waterproof case by pulling the latch up from the front.
Once loose, pull up from the back of the latch and release the back door. -
Open the backdoor and insert the camera into the waterproof case.
Close the back door by pushing it closed. Then secure the latch by first
securing the rear area over the back door’s rail and then push down on the latch to secure the case.
