CAUTION!
To avoid damage to property, ALWAYS place this appliance on a surface which is suitably heat resistant as this unit will get extremely hot during operation.

IMPORTANT- Carefully remove any packaging before use, but retain the safety instructions.

This product is for domestic use ONL V and should not be used commercially or for contract purposes.

Safety Caution:

  1. DO NOT light the fire with petrol, paraffin, methylated spirit, lighter fuel, fire lighters or alcohol.
  2. Always stand your BBQ outdoors and on level ground away from trees and wooden fencing.
  3. Keep children and pets at a safe distance from the Charcoal Starter.
  4. During use, always use protective gloves when touching any part of the Charcoal Starter.
  5. Always ensure the Charcoal Starter is completely cooled down before storing away.
  6. To prolong the life of the metal parts, do not leave the Charcoal Starter outside and unprotected from the weather. Ideally it should be stored in a garage or garden shed when not in use.

Instructions

  1. Turn the Charcoal Starter upside down.
  2. Crumple two full sheets of newspaper and stuff them in the bottom of the Charcoal Starter.
  3. Turn the Charcoal Starter right side up, and place on the charcoal grate of your BBQ.
  4. Add appropriate amount of briquettes/charcoal but do not over fill.
  5. Strike a match, and insert into one of the bottom air vents to ignite the newspaper.
  6. When the top layer of briquettes/charcoal have a light coating of grey ash, carefully lift the Charcoal Starter using barbeque mitts and empty the coals onto the charcoal grate for either the direct or indirect cooking method.
  7. Please note the Charcoal Starter will still be hot so allow it to competely cool down in a safe place out of reach of children and pets before cleaning or storing away.
