- Please protect your ears against loud volume. Loud volume can damage your ears and risk hearing loss.
- Bluetooth wireless technology operates within a range of about 10 m (30 feet). The maximum communication distance may vary depending on the presence of obstacles (people, metal objects, walls, etc.) or the electromagnetic environment.
- Microwaves emitting from a Bluetooth device may affect the operation of electronic medical devices.
- The unit is not waterproof. If water or foreign objects enter the unit, it may result in fire or electric shock. If water or a foreign object enters the unit, stop use immediately
- The direct plug-in cable is used as a disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable. So, make sure there is space around the power outlet for easy access.
Please notice that the DAB signal can be weakened MUCH depending on the type of building you are living in. (fx. It can be hard to catch proper signal when being in a concrete building.) Signals can also be different in different areas of the country. Please check your local transmitter to get the best signal in your area.

OPERATING THE UNIT
Insert the supplied power cord into the DC 5V IN located at the rear of the
unit and the other end into the wall outlet. Press the Standby button to turn
on the unit.
DAB MODE
- Press the MODE button to choose DAB radio mode, then press the
- TUNE/SELECT knob to confirm the selection.
- Auto select : Press the SCAN button, and the display will show “Scanning… Stations:”, the DAB station number will appear on the screen, and the first station will be played automatically. Turn the TUNE/SELECT knob and then press the knob to select the station.
FM MODE
- Press the MODE button to choose FM radio mode, then press the TUNE/SELECT knob to confirm the selection. Press the SCAN button, when a radio is found, the frequency on display will stop running and playback will start automatically.
- Press the SCAN button again to find the next station.
- If reception is not good, turn the TUNE/SELECT knob to fine-tune.
Presetting DAB/FM radio stations:
- Press and hold the MEM/P-mode button, and “Preset Store” will appear on the screen.
- Turn the TUNE/SELECT knob to select the program number (1-30) you want to store. Then press the TUNE/SELECT knob to store it.
- Repeat the same procedure until all the desired radio stations are stored in the program list. To recall the memory, press the MEM/P-mode button, then turn the TUNE/SELECT knob to select the desired preset station. Press the
TUNE/SELECT knob to confirm.
ALARM SETTINGS
With the unit switched on, or in Standby mode, press the ALARM button until
the Alarm 1 and Alarm 2 menus are shown.
Turn the TUNE/SELECT knob to select the alarm you want to set. Press the
TUNE/SELECT knob to confirm. Press and turn the TUNE/SELECT knob to set the
alarm.

- Alarm Source: Buzzer, DAB, FM, CD, USB
- Alarm Repeat: Once, Daily, Weekends (Saturday and Sunday), Workday (Monday to Friday)
- Alarm Volume
- After setting the Alarm, press the Alarm button again to confirm all the settings.
SNOOZE
When the alarm is activated, press the TUNE/SELECT knob to snooze the alarm,
the alarm will then activate 5 minutes later.
SHUT OFF ALARM
To cancel the alarm when it has activated, press the ALARM button or STANDBY
button to stop the alarm sound, the alarm will sound again for the next
scheduled day.
TO TURN OFF THE ALARM COMPLETELY
Press the ALARM button and while the alarm settings are still on screen, turn
the TUNE/SELECT knob to select the desired alarm mode, then press the
TUNE/SELECT knob to switch it off.
AUX MODE
Connect the AUX cable between the jack of your Personal Player, such as a
portable MP3 player, and the AUX input jack. Press the MODE button to select
AUX mode. Turn on your Personal Player to begin playing and adjust the volume
to the desired listening level
BLUETOOTH MODE
- Press the MODE button to select Bluetooth mode.
- Pair the radio with your device by turning on the Bluetooth function on your device.
- Place the device within 20 cm (8 inches) of the radio.
- Select “MDA-525” on your device to connect to the radio. Once connected, your device will show “Connected”.
USB MODE
- Insert a USB drive into the USB port at the rear of the unit.
- Press the Mode button to select USB mode. The music will start playing automatically.
- Press the Play button to play or pause the music on a USB drive.
- Turn the tuning knob “<<” or “>>” to backward or forward the music in the USB drive.
CD Operation
- Insert the CD into the CD slot and press Play. The music will start playing.
- If the Stop button is pressed during play or pause mode, the system will enter stop mode.
- Turn the tuning knob << or >> to skip a track forward or backward.
CD Repeat/Random mode
Press the P-mode button during playback to select the repeat and random play
functions. Available options are indicated in the table below.
For CD and MP3
CD Programming
This function allows you to listen to the desired track, folder (MP3 only), or
the entire disc.
- Enter CD mode and stop the CD playback.
- Press the Mem/P-mode button and “P01 TXX” will appear on the screen.
- Select a desired track by turning the tuning knob << or >>.
- Press the Mem/P-mode button to store the track in memory.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 to store more tracks in the memory if necessary.
- When all the desired tracks have been programmed, press the Play/Pause button to play the disc in the assigned order. ( will show on the screen when the CD player is playing your desired track order.)
- Press the Stop button to stop playback, and press the Stop button again to clear all stored memory. ( will disappear if the memory is cleared
The programming mode will automatically exit if no button is being pressed in about 10 seconds after pressing the Mem/P-mode button.
CD MP3 Folder Selection
In the CD mode, press the VOLUME knob, and the folder number, e.g. “F01” will
blink on the screen, turn the TUNE knob to select your desired folder of the
CD MP3 disc.
