Cleaning

8 Cleaning

! WARNING! Electrocution hazard Always disconnect the refrigerator from the AC and DC power supply and turn off the gas before cleaning.

A NOTICE! Damage hazard · Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or hard objects during cleaning as these can damage the refrigerator. · Never use hard or sharp tools to remove ice or to free objects frozen onto the device. · Do not use any mechanical tools or any other tools to speed up the defrosting process.

Clean the refrigerator regularly and as soon as it becomes dirty with a damp cloth. Ensure that no water drips into the seals or the controls as this can damage the electronics. Wipe the refrigerator dry with a cloth after cleaning. Check the condensate drain regularly.
Clean the condensate drain when necessary. If it is blocked the condensate collects on the bottom of the refrigerator.
j

Ensure that the ventilation grilles in the outer wall of the recreational vehicle and the roof vent of the refrigerator (fig. j) are free of any dust and dirt, so that heat generated during operation can dissipate.
8.1 Cleaning the gas burner (fig. k) Perform a periodical inspection of the burner to ensure contamination / vermin does not impede the burners performance
! WARNING! Burn hazard · Allow the burner to cool down before cleaning it. · Do not modify the gas equipment. The gas burner can be cleaned without removing the gas equipment.

1. Disconnect the AC and DC power supply (1.). 2. Close the gas valve to the refrigerator before cleaning the gas burner (2.). 3. Remove the ventilation grille (3. 5.). 4. Remove the gas burner cover (6. 7.). 5. Press the catch below the burner cover inwards, and remove the catch (8. 9.). 6. Clean the burner pipe from coarse impurities using a suitable cleaning brush with soft bristles (10.). 7. Blow out the burner pipe with compressed air through the slots in the burner pipe (11.). 8. Reinstall the catch, the gas burner cover and the ventilation grille (12. 18.).

Maintenance

9 Maintenance

! WARNING! Risk of explosion and electrocution hazard · Work on gas and electrical installations may only be performed by qualified technicians. Always disconnect the refrigerator from the AC and DC power supply and turn off the gas before servicing it.

Have the gas system and connected flues inspected regularly by a qualified specialist to ensure that they comply with national safety requirements.
Keep a record of any maintenance performed.
9.1 Defrosting the refrigerator The refrigerator compartment is equipped with a cyclic defrost system that prevents excessive frost formation on the evaporator fins. If the refrigerator is used for a long time in high humidity and/or high ambient temperatures, frost may still form on the evaporator fins and the refrigerator must be defrosted manually.
A NOTICE! Damage hazard Do not use mechanical tools or a hair dryer to remove ice or to loosen frozen items.
I NOTE The freezer compartment must be defrosted at regular intervals. Defrost the freezer compartment once the frost layer is higher than 3 mm.
