Product Usage Instructions

Quick Start Guide:
If your laptop’s power supply adapter is a USB-C type connector, then we suggest plugging this directly into the USB-C port on your Klik adapter to help achieve maximum charging and pass-through performance. If your laptop has a traditional barrel style power connector, continue to use this as normal. Then simply plug your Klik adapter into the USB-C DP (Display Port) on your PC or laptop and you are good to go! In Windows, this is a plug and play device so no drivers are required.

Handy Tip:
Your USB-C DP port may have this symbol next to it to signify the USB-C DP Port. If not, please refer to your laptop or PC’s manufacturer’s website or user manual for help locating the USB-C DP port. In most cases, your computer’s DP (Display Port) will also be its PD (Power Delivery) port as well. For more on this, see the Power Delivery section below.

  1. Connecting 1 External Monitor:
    Handy Tip:
You can configure which is the main display and re-arrange the display orientation by clicking the Identify button in the Rearrange your displays section of Displays settings.

  2. Connecting 2 External Monitors:

  3. Handy Tip: If you connect an external keyboard and mouse using either Bluetooth or the standard USB-A connections on your Klik adapter, you can now close your laptop and work in Clamshell mode using just the two external displays.

  4. Note: Mac OS does not support MST. This adapter will not support dual monitors on Mac OS.

Additional Connections:
Connect your USB devices to the three USB 3.0 high-speed ports such as USB flash drives, portable HDDs, keyboards, mice, webcams, printers, and more. The maximum data transfer rate is 5Gbps.

Power Delivery:
You can also use the USB 3.0 ports to charge your phone or other USB devices. The maximum power output of each port is 5V 1.5A (7.5W). When multiple ports are used to charge devices, the maximum total power output of your Klik adapter is 13.5W, this is shared between the devices. To charge a tablet or larger device such as an External Hard Drive that may consume more power, your Klik adapter must be connected to the computer’s USB-C PD (Power Delivery) port.

Handy Tip:
If your USB-C PD port is not marked, please refer to your laptop or PC’s manufacturer’s website or user manual for help locating this.

Network Connection over Ethernet:
Connect a network Ethernet cable to the RJ45 Gigabit LAN port. This will connect your laptop to a wired network. The green LED indicates connection to a network. The yellow LED indicates network activity.
