How does it work?

During the day, the solar panel collects sunlight and converts ii into electrical power stored in the rechargeable batteries. Al night the photocell (light sensing device) sensing the absence of light, turns on the solar garden accent light using the electricity stored during the day. The more sunlight the fixture gets, the stronger the charge will be and the longer your fixture will illuminate at night. All Moon rays solar garden accent lights utilize LED (light emitting diode) technology to provide light. LED are highly efficient sources of light, are cool to the touch and do not require replacement.

Where should I place my solar garden lights?

Install the garden lights in a location that the solar panel gets full direct sunlight. The brighter and more direct sunlight, the better the battery will charge. Do not install the lights in a shady area. The solar panel should receive a minimum of 8 hours of sunlight per day for optimal performance at night.
Note: Be sure that the location of the photocell is not near the light sources at night time, such as street lights or porch lights. These light sources may cause the photocell to turn off.

Why won’t my solar light work?

If your solar garden accent light does not turn on at night, check for one of the following conditions.

  1. Battery is not Fully Charged:
Make sure the fixture is placed in an area where the solar panel gets the maximum amount of full, direct sunlight everyday. If the solar panel does not receive enough sunlight during the day (e.g due to cloudy or overcast weather conditions) II will be recharged on the next sunny day and resume operation

  2. Other Light sources:
If the solar panel is located too close to street light, porch lights or other lights, the photocell (light sensing device)may turn off the fixture. Relocate the fixture or eliminate those other light sources.

  3. Direct Sunlight:
Ensure that the solar panel is not installed in a shady area, for example, in the shadow of a tree or a house. If necessary, move to an area that gets full direct sunlight.

  4. Batteries may need replaced:
Always replace the new rechargeable batteries with the proper fating. Do not use non rechargeable batteries.

How do I replace the batteries?

Each light designed differently. Here are a few tips to help you. First you should look for a battery cover (similar to what you would find on other household electronic) This is often located underneath the lens cap or lop portion of the path light. On garden accents, look for this on the back or bottom of the fixture. You might have to unscrew a panel inside the lens cap to access the batteries. Replace with new chargeable batteries with the proper rating. Make sure lo recycle your old batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or use non-rechargeable batteries.
