Control Panel

Operation

  1. Connect your guitar to the input (1) using a 6.3mm jack lead.
  2. If you want to use headphones for silent practice, connect them to the 3.5mm PHONES jack (9).
  3. Turn the GAIN (2) and VOLUME (4) controls fully down, and all other controls to the vertical (12 o’clock) position.
  4. Connect the amplifier to the mains using the supplied mains lead via the rear panel IEC connector.
  5. Switch on the POWER (10).
  6. With the DRIVE button (3) in the ‘out’ position and GAIN up part way, gradually turn up the VOLUME until you hear sound. Increase both to the required level. More Gain increases both volume and drive.
  7. To achieve an overdriven sound, press the DRIVE button in and increase the GAIN. Balance the GAIN and VOLUME to suit your preference.
  8. Adjust the TREBLE (5), MIDDLE (6), and BASS (7) controls to achieve the required tone character.

Bluetooth Playback

The CG-10BT has a built-in Bluetooth receiver for wireless playback of backing tracks from a smart phone.

  1. Press the BT button (8) to activate Bluetooth pairing mode. The indicator will flash.
  2. In your phone’s menu, search for “CG-10BT” and select it to pair.
  3. Once pairing is completed, the indicator will stay on constantly, and any tracks played on the smart phone should be heard through the CG-10BT speaker.
  4. Once paired, the CG-10BT will automatically connect to the paired smart phone whenever Bluetooth is switched on.

Introduction

Thank you for choosing a Chord CG-10BT classically styled 10W guitar amplifier.
Ideal for practice and rehearsal, this combo includes a Bluetooth receiver for playing along to tracks from a smart phone. Please read this manual to gain the best results from your product and avoid damage through misuse.

Caution
Do not cover cooling vents at the rear of the amplifier. Keep away from damp or dusty environments. Check mains lead is in good condition and ensure mains outlet voltage is correct as indicated.
Use only approved fuse rated as shown. Unplug from mains before replacing fuse.
No user serviceable parts inside. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.

Operation

  • Connect guitar to the input (1) via a 6.3mm jack lead.
  • If headphones are to be used for silent practice, connect these to the 3.5mm PHONES jack (9)
  • Turn the GAIN & VOLUME controls (2, 4) fully down and all other controls to the vertical (12 o’clock) position. Connect to mains using the supplied mains lead via the rear panel IEC connector and switch POWER on (10)
  • With the DRIVE button (3) in the ‘out’ position and GAIN up part way, gradually turn up the VOLUME.
  • Play until sound is heard and increase both to the required level. More Gain increases both volume and drive.
  • Press the DRIVE button in and increase the GAIN for an overdriven sound and balance the GAIN and VOLUME to suit. Adjust TREBLE, MIDDLE and BASS (5, 6, 7) controls to achieve the required tone character.
  • For wireless playback of backing tracks from a smart phone, the CG-10BT has a built-in Bluetooth receiver.
  • Press the BT button (8) in and the indicator will flash. In your phone menu, search for “CG-10BT” and select to pair. Once pairing is completed, the indicator will stay on constantly and any tracks played on the smart phone should be heard through the CG-10BT speaker. Once paired, the CG-10BT will connect to the paired smart phone automatically whenever Bluetooth is switched on.
