Installation requirements

WARNING

  • Do not connect the power adapter to the device while the adapter is turned on.

  • Place the device in a well-ventilated place and do not block its ventilation.
  • Use an adapter or cabinet power supply provided by the manufacturer.
  • Do not connect the device to two or more types of power sources, to avoid damage to the device.
  • The device is a class I electrical device. Make sure that the source of the device’s power supply is connected to a grounded outlet protection.
  • The device must be grounded by a single-section copper wire cross section of 2.5 mm2 and a mass resistance of at most 4 0.
  • The voltage stabilizer and overvoltage protection are optional, depending on the real power source on the spot and the surrounding environment.
  • To ensure heat dissipation, the distance between the device and the surrounding area it must not be less than 10 cm on the sides and 10 cm on top the device.
  • When installing the device, make sure that the power plug and coupling of the device are easy to touch to interrupt the power supply.
  • Outdoor models of the device must be installed safely on poles or brackets that are perpendicular to the ground. Make sure the whole surface of the device and all its related components are covered with an anti-oxidation layer (such as anti-rust paint) and that the place of installation and

Functional requirements

Operating guide

Preparations

Step 1: Check if the package is missing or damaged and contact after- sales personal if any.
The packing list may differ depending on the actual products.

Step 2: Connect the broadband access line to the WAN port of the device and connect the DC power plug to the DC interface of the device. After power on, the indicator is red continuously for 10 seconds and then flashes green, blue and red alternately. The system flashes green after it starts normally.

Configuring the router

  • Step 1: Search for wifi signal with phones or laptops, then connect Wifi. The name is “Dahua_WIFI_XXXXXX” or “Dahua_WIFIXXXXX_5G” (XXXXXX is the last six digits of the MAC address of the device), and the default wifi has no password.dahua-AX1500-Wi-Fi6-Wireless-Router-fig-1
  • Step 2: Open your browser, type “192.168.1.110” and press Enter key to go to the device management web page. Enter the administrator password, then click Log in.dahua-AX1500-Wi-Fi6-Wireless-Router-fig-2

  • Step 4: Enter Configure your connection to the web page and change the connection type as needed. After setup, click Next. Internet Connection Type includes DHCP Connection (dynamic IP address), Username/Password connection (PPPoE), and Connection with static IP address.

  • Step 6: Enter the device administrator password web page, configure administrator password as requested. When Sync your WiFi password is enabled, the device administrator password is automatically synchronized to match the Wi-Fi password.   • Step 8: Search for a new Wi-Fi name and enter the password. After connection, enter “192.168.1.110” to access the device management page.

    • 5G indicator: off and continuous green.

    • After starting:
    • Power indicator: Flashing green.
    • 5G indicator: solid green when 5G is activated and off when is disabled.
    • 2.4G indicator: solid green when 2.4G is on and off when disabled.
    • Internet indicator: solid green when the network is connected, flashes when data is being transmitted and off when it is disconnected.
    • LAN indicator: solid green when at least one device is LAN port of the router and off when no device is LAN router port.
    • WPS indicator: Stops flashing when WPS is activated and successfully connected to end devices. It doesn’t blink anymore in 120 seconds when WPS is not connected to end devices. Off when WPS is disabled.
  • The reset button: Return to default settings. Press and hold for 10 seconds to restore and restart automatically.
    • The WPS button: Press for 1 second to activate the WPS function.
